New hotel in convention location and friendly staff

The hotel was just okay. The view from the corner rooms was good. One thing to note about this hotel before booking is the breakfast style, which is à la carte. They only provide local food with a voucher of 40 ¥ for each person, and if it goes above this amount, they charge for it. It’s not foreigner-friendly. The rooms had a bad smell. We asked the front desk to change the room, but the new room had the same problem.

This is our second stay at Ascott and my son loves it. Our room was very good; it was clean and there was no noise from the outside or other guests. The staff was helpful with providing extra amenities and other minor issues. It’s very good all around and suitable for everyone.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The front desk service was incredibly helpful. Ms. Xiao at the reception desk was very diligent and polite. The rooms were nice and spacious, and the amenities offered were great. I really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Nice environment, clean and good service. Was hoping to find bedroom slippers but none 🙂↕️. But overall, I’m happy

On the way, Anna from the hotel contacted me and added WeChat. She sent me the hotel location map and the entrance map of the shunting yard parking lot. She helped us upgrade the room and received us warmly. The service was very nice👍, the room facilities were very new, and the night view was very beautiful! I will come again next time.

I like the overall decoration style of the hotel. The bedding is very comfortable. The room has a direct view of the river. My favorite part is that the room is equipped with a washer-dryer and a microwave. It gave me some rest after a long journey. Recommended~

The room decoration continues the Ascott's usual calm, atmospheric and low-key style, but the hardware configuration gives you a sense of embarrassment that "Ascott has fallen". I have stayed in many Ascotts, Somersets and Citadines across the country, and this is the first apartment without any kitchen supplies. The hotel only has two bottles of water, but fortunately, the service staff can handle it with just one phone call. One point of strong criticism is that when ordering takeout, the staff will help to deliver it upstairs. Every time the waiter rings the doorbell, I respond in seconds, but I am not worthy of receiving the takeout delivered by the waiter in person. Twice in a row, the takeout was directly placed on the ground, the doorbell was pressed, and the person left. When I opened the door, I saw the things on the ground. What kind of etiquette is this? In addition, the room has carpets, and overall the sound insulation is good. There is no other noise except for the loud opening and closing of the door in the next room. There are several shopping malls nearby. There are many choices for eating and drinking. The river view outside is very beautiful.

Ascott series has always been my first choice for travel. I still gave Ningbo Ascott a 5.0 overall, but there are still many details that can be improved. When we were still in Zhoushan, the staff of Ningbo Ascott had called me and consulted me about my travel method. When I learned that I was traveling by car, they also added WeChat to send me the exact location and guide me how to find the nearest elevator. This is really a good job. To be honest, the room is really not very big. When I came in, I was a little suspicious whether I had booked an executive room. The lady at the front desk immediately came to show me other room types, and I immediately felt that the booking was not bad. Hahahaha~ (I still hope to upgrade it next time 😉) As mentioned in other reviews, the kitchen utensils and tableware were not placed in the room for some reason, unlike other Ascotts. But when I called the front desk for dinner and asked for two sets of tableware, it was delivered very quickly. The front desk will help deliver the takeaways, drinks, daily necessities, etc., which is also very heartwarming. The bathroom shower room floor is really very slippery. There are anti-slip signs and anti-slip mats (too small), but I still think it is really slippery~ The anti-slip mat can be bigger and cover most of the floor for safety. The restaurant across the floor recommended by the front desk is delicious😋 and very affordable. The restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel is a private kitchen and needs to be booked in advance, so I didn't try it. You can make an appointment in advance next time.
