When we go there they said they were overbooked. We did not even stay there. The place was very dirty though.

Except the location, everything else is disappointing.

I was staying in the Central Park West Hostel for 3 nights. The room smelled like pee all the time. The street where the hostel was located on didn't even smell like that, so I was confused what happened in that room. The smell was teally bad... In the bathroom there were plenty of trash, it wasn't very tidy. The service and the location were fine.

Well located in Upper West Side, close to Central Park and to the 87th subway station of line 1.

This place is not what it seems, the pictures you see are just a cover up. They did a remodel of what it could look like on some app and posted those pictures like if that’s what it looks like , but it’s not. The room they gave me had two bunk beds that were already occupied and the sheets where yellow. To the owner of this hotel please be honest and don’t scam travelers by showing them something you don’t really have.

Over booked

Don't book it, you've made a mistake. There is a West Side Youth Hostel on 63rd Street, which is more professional and sanitary than this one. For the same price, you can live alone there, but here you can share a room. It's speechless. There are cockroaches everywhere, and the bathroom is not clean. There is only one sheet, not even a quilt. The one on 63rd Street is very large, and there are rooms available for you to move in in advance. Turn left and cross the street to reach Central Park, and turn right and walk 350 meters to reach Lincoln Center. The 1207 I stayed at before is better than the 856 this time.

It is near Central Park and is convenient for travel, but the hygiene is very poor. There is no quilt on the bed and I was almost freezing at night. However, the front desk staff was very enthusiastic to provide assistance, which exceeded my expectations.

Not good👎. This is not the first time I booked a youth hostel. The last time was YNCA in Hong Kong. The one in Hong Kong is very compact, but the rooms are regular hotel rooms, and the location is excellent. It is convenient to go everywhere next to Victoria Harbour. But this one in New York is not good. The room is very old, the floor is broken, and the closet for clothes is not very clean after opening it. When booking, I looked at the bathroom in particular. It was said to be a private bathroom, but it turned out to be a public bathroom. Checked out as soon as I checked in and rebooked another hotel. If you care more about the environment and safety of the hotel, I advise you to quit. Avoid wasting money like me.

They are not clear and do not speak languages, to be a place in the heart of New York, they should have someone who speaks Spanish

The worst accommodation in my life (This is my first time writing a review) 1. Check-in takes more than 30 minutes. There is no one at the desk most of the time 2. There is no key, so you have to go down to the desk and ask them to open the door every time you close or open it (there are usually no people, so you often have to wait a long time) 3. Shared bathroom (the water comes out strangely) (There are no toiletries at all, so you have to buy them) 4. The interior is completely different from the photos. The interior is actually like a prison. It is worse than the military barracks when I joined the military in 21 years 5. There is no soundproofing at all (I get stressed every time a car passes by outside. It is the same as leaving the door open. It is very noisy because the road is right in front. In New York, cars that make 5 times the sound of a siren in Korea pass by every 10 minutes. The soundproofing is so bad that I am going crazy) 6. The blanket is dirty and yellowed, and the hygiene is not good 7. On the bed Creaking 8. No refrigerator in the room, have to use the shared refrigerator at the check-in area 9. No cleaning service even though it's a multi-night stay 10. Smells like cigarettes 11. Elevator is full when 3 people enter. It's the first time I've seen such a small elevator I've never had any complaints about accommodations in my life, and I've never had any inconveniences in military or school dormitories, but this place is seriously the worst. If you're a couple and want to break up, make a reservation.
