Delta Hotels in New York

Very good room, big. Reasonable layout. You can see the scenery of the bay downstairs from the gap between the buildings. We saw a beautiful sunset from our position. The location is also relatively good. It takes a few minutes to walk to Wall Street. There are many American simple meals downstairs. It is very convenient to take a boat to see the goddess of Journey to the West. There are several subway lines in New York with entrances and exits nearby. Very satisfied 👍

We chose the hotel for the second time this year, and it did not disappoint. We received the same attentiveness and carefree rest as the first time. Maintenance and renovation also took place in the time between the two occasions, which I can confirm, as we requested and received the same room both times, which we were pleased with. We almost came home, we felt at home. The staff is wonderful, conscientious, self-sacrificing. They are extremely attentive, we asked for and received a refrigerator and microwave. We love its location, its surroundings are calm, safe and spacious. Shopping and transportation options are easy to solve, with Hudson Jersey in the background it's beautiful. Thank you for letting us spend Christmas with you, we already want to go back! Grateful thanks!

The stay was nice. Rooms are small. No coffee maker in the room. You can go downstairs and buy coffee but the coffee is weak and not worth the price. Water runs out the shower soaking the floor. Overall the place is cozy. Intimate. The bar tender was AMAZING ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS. The front staff were very polite night and morning. The guy that sold the coffee wasn’t as pleasant seemed like he didn’t want to be there but he wasnt nasty either.

This hotel is 5 mins away from Charging Bull and NYSE. Train station is also very near. Walking distance to take Ferry to Statue of Liberty. Supermarket is also very near.  However, room is small and partition is thin. When next room closed the room door, can feel my room shook as if a mini earthquake. Next thing is there are only 3 lifts shared by 44 floors of rooms. If rush for time, better to take the lift earlier.  Due to the very expensive land in NYC, I have to scarifice room space for convenience.

The first thing I will mention is that the hotel is 5 star and is expectedly, very expensive, being in the heart of Times Square. I took this into account when writing my review. If I am paying that much, my expectations would be higher than normal. I stayed for 12 nights over the Christmas and NY period so I obtained a very comprehensive view of the hotel and everything about it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the staff were always there to attend to any requests and issues. The moment I got out of my transfer car, there was a lovely young gentleman waiting to get all my bags and transport me upstairs to the reception. The check-in was reasonably flawless but there was a bit of confusion around the payment because of resort fees the hotel charges daily. I prepaid my booking and there was confusion over whether it included or excluded the resort fee. The reception area is immaculately presented and the bar and restaurant are both located here. I intended to use the gym during my stay, but didn't have time to even take a peek. Nor did I visit the bar or restaurant. There's way too many options outside to do that. The very polite and courteous young gentleman then took me up to my room. He showed me everything and away he went. I got a bit of a room upgrade which I highly appreciated and had a beautiful view of Times Square. I was on the 2nd highest floor, floor 39. The room is not big. It was adequate for one person but nothing more. I don't think I would be able to stay here if I was with another person. It would be too uncomfortable and I had to find space for my 2 suitcases and carry-on. The bathroom is open plan, with a door for the shower and toilet. A big problem I had in my room was that if it was windy you will hear a loud whistle coming through the bottom of the front door. It really annoyed me. I had to take the cover off the bed and make a snake shape to block the gap underneath the door to stop the noise. Even a bath towel didn't work. They need to fix this. The hotel is very new and the rooms are very beautifully equipped, presented and maintained. I was pleased to see that most of the things I requested before I arrived (some extra bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, mini fridge, bathroom scale) were mostly there upon arrival. I quantified the number of towels I needed as I was not getting any housekeeping during my 12 night stay but I did not get the quantity requested. I expected a bit more attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Before I arrived I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion and Guest Services pushed up my expectations as I was celebrating a special occassion and they said something nice, I assume maybe a cake or some alcohol would be waiting for me in the room. When I arrived there was nothing. And there was never going to be anything throughout my stay. I didn't mind and only remembered towards the end of the stay. The reason for the poor review only has to be due to what I can only describe as a dangerous event. On our first evening at 0130hrs we were spoken to a strong smell of cannabis so much we were sick. The corridor outside our room was dense smoke like there was a fire! I went to reception who did not seem phased and move us to another floor! No attempt was made to locate the offender all be it there was no doubt it was coming from the room next to ours! The rest of the stay 6 days was uneventful until we checked out! We made sure there was not any transaction on our credit card which you are required to leave at booking in, we were told there was not however when return to the Uk we discovered £1078 had been taken from both parties credit cards! Reported to card company who directed us back to hotel as it was made there! Hotel does not reply to emails and when you ring will not discuss!!! Be very careful, we are now told by Virgin who we booked holiday with it will take in excess of 28 days to sort out, in the mean time we will still have to pay interest on card which will not be refunded

The Edison Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Manhattan! The location, which is right in the theatre district and a block and a half away from Times Square, is exceptional. One can take a short walk over to Ninth Avenue where there are dozens and dozens of great restaurants. It is near everything!!! The staff were great! They seemed to go out of their way to be polite and professional, which is unusual in this area. Our room was very nice with a King Bed and a great view of the city. While we did not try the Hotel's restaurants and bars they seemed to be fulled of happy customers. The room price, when compared to value provided, is a bargain. You can easily pay a lot more in this area and receive a lot less.. I have stayed in this general area at a number of Hotels in the past that failed to motivate me to write a review. Try this Hotel the next time you are in town. You will come back!!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I stayed there back in 2004 and loved it and was so glad that it was still there. Murray Hill is a great neighborhood that is centrally located (a few blocks from Grand Central). It is quieter and more residential than a lot of nearby neighborhoods, with less expensive places to eat, drugstores, grocery store, a post office, a convenience store, a laundromat, coffee shops, etc. I highly recommend Previti's Pizza, House of Lasagna, and Bagel Express. Their food was amazing and the staff at each were lovely. The hotel room was large by New York standards, as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and there was a mini fridge, which was a pleasant surprise. The shower was absolutely wonderful, very large walk-in with excellent water pressure, which is not true of a lot of places in NYC. The weather was impacted by Hurricane Ian, so some nights we were too hot or too cold, because they had to switch back to heat, but that wasn't too bad. The staff here were very gracious and there was a gentleman out front who very kindly helped us with our bags and opened car doors for us, which was a nice treat.
