This is a hidden gem in NYC. Located within walking distance from Times Square and every amenity, but in a quiet street away from the busy-ness of it all.
The place has a very large kitchen located on the 2nd floor (with the first floor being the entry-way only), with loads of freebies like toothbrushes and soda.
The host is very kind and attentive and stays in Room 2A next to the kitchen. Knock if you need anything.
Free luggage storage before check in and after check out is also a bonus!

The location of the B&B is very good, just one minute's walk from the subway station. Although the room is small, it is very clean and the mattress is very comfortable. The boss is very nice. There is free water and instant noodles in the room. It is very good to eat hot noodles when you come back at night.

The unit is in a private house on the second floor. Entire floor is for the guests use only.There are two bedrooms with three beds ( one full size, two singles) ,one sleeper sectional and one pack n play for babies which enables 5 persons to stay.This floor has one Roku TV with free Netflix in the living room , big bathroom,full kitchen plus dinning ,two closets with hangers and ample storage space.We have renovated the place keeping the comfort and enjoyment for our guests in mind.The kitchen has all the utensils, cookware, silverware and appliances for guest to cook and enjoy their meals. Complementary tea, coffee, sugar and coffee mate is there for guest to enjoy.The living room is a place for family to hang out. Living room has a sleeper sectional to cozy up and 55" tv with free Roku channels, Netflix , Spotify on the house. Master bedroom has full size bed, a big closet with mirror and a seating area. Small bedroom has a daybed with trundle. built-in closet, bookshelf and a chair to work on the corner table.

GGuest UserFantastic experience at the Hotel Sherman for my daughter's first trip to NYC. This boutique hotel reminds me of a quaint European boutique hotel or B&B. Our room was very cute, clean and quiet. It's right on Restaurant Row so there are a variety of delicious options just steps away. We recommend choosing take out and enjoying your dinner on the cozy roof top terrace which has a beautiful view above the roar of street level. The staff was friendly, gracious and helpful. We appreciated their willingness to store our luggage before and after check in/check out. The continental breakfast had a good array of options. The croissants in particular melted in your mouth. My daughter is gluten free but had plenty of options with hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit. We did pick up some gluten free bread nearby. The rooms also have a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave which are nice amenities to have. Just steps away from Times Square, the Theater District, the Port Authority and so many midtown sites, I would highly recommend this gem. The only critique I would have is the carpet in the elevator and hallways are a bit worn, but the charm of the rooms and gracious hospitality more than makes up.

GGuest UserI was in NY to visit my daughter at her college. I was pleased to find a hotel room close enough to avoid wasting time in commute. I arrived to check in about 4:30pm and was immediately met with a front desk worker who was irritated, flustered and behaving unprofessionally. Apparently there were issues with the washer/ dryer that caused it to take longer than usual to to clean and prepare rooms. I had to sit in the small lobby to wait for my room to be ready. Eventually I had to go into the room while she finished cleaning around me. Didn't get into the room until after 6pm. However, the young lady cleaning the room was friendly and it was clear she was trying to make the best of a bad situation. The worst part of my stay was yesterday to come. That night the air conditioner broke and blew either no air or hot air. I emailed the manager repeatedly and then she just stopped responding. It was so miserably hot in that room, that I barely slept! I spoke to the front desk at check out, she empathized and even said that this problem had been happening before. Why would you rent the room if you knew the AC wasn't working? Never heard anything back from management. Towels and washcloths were horrible. Felt like a rag to use for cleaning. I was happy to find this place but their poor customer service turned me off! I would find somewhere else to stay!
