Jasper Young Hotel Banqiao Reviews

It’s a hotel in the heart of Banqiao station. Walking distance to banqiao station within 10 mins. Room is ok and considered new but not much service. Due to government policy, this hotel doesn’t provide any amenities including slipper. So please bring along your own otherwise it would be $100 NTD if you ask a slipper from the hotel.

Hotel location is good as there are several big malls nearby. However, it is farther from popular locations like taipei 101. It is 10 mins away from the mrt thus, it is still convenient. The rooms are good in size. Modern with wooden floors. I generally don't like carpet as it causes my nose to irritate.

Wish the Japanese Onsen operating hour can extend, the period hotels provide it a bit too short for people may check in or get back to hotel late.

Great location 8 min walk to Banqiao mrt/train station. Good room service and clean. Like the restroom and shower facilities... Improvement on Spa facilities..and breakfast not so much variety. Overall good.

Always love staying in Banqiao area. The hotel is clean and spacious. There is an onsen on the top level of the hotel. The only thing was they did not had a weighing scale. I wanted to weigh my luggage and do a bit if repacking before going to the airport.

Modern design. Mobile YouTube and Netflix can share to TV. Very convenience!

Nice room and facilities! Provide a nice sauna facility we can use too. Highly recommended.

The hotel is abt 10 to 12 mins walk from the Banqiao mrt station. There was a message frm the hotel informing me that there was some construction going on till the end of august but i didnt hear any sound of construction with my stay there. I was able to unwind and relax on my stay. The bed is very comfy and room very clean. I love the peppermint shampoo. My stay comes with breakfast, food was ok , i dont usually eat rice in the morning but when i tried their truffle mushroom rice with white sauce , i got stuck i went back for a second serving. Over all my stay was great.

According to Taiwan MOENV on 17 July, "Lodging providers shall be prohibited from offering liquid toiletry and bodycare products in single-use packaging with a volume of less than 180 milliliters, and shall be required to provide large-bottle wall-mounted shower products instead. The EPA stated that enterprises will be given a buffer period to deplete their inventory and adjust, with inspections commencing from 1 January 2025. Personal hygiene items such as combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving foam, and shower caps are not to be actively displayed." -- Poor services. It was my first time traveling to Taiwan and was totally unaware of the gov's new go-green initiative. When I found out that no bathroom amenities will be provided upon checking in the hotel, I asked the check-in staff if she could kindly provide me a set of toothbrush and toothpaste as I forgot to bring mine. Then the check-in staff told me that they do not provide such FREE toiletries anymore. In fact, she informed me that if I wanted it I could BUY it from her, followed by showing me a bag of personal hygiene items such as combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving foam, shower caps and slippers. I understood that the hotel supported the government's movement of restricting single use lodging supplies. However, such act of selling was truly unfavourable as it sounded like Jasper Young hotel wanted to make some profit from those items used to be inclusive in hotel room fare, on top of the paid room rate. If you are supporting the gov's move, please do it whole-heartedly. "The EPA stresses that the regulation does not entail a complete ban on toiletry products. The reduction of disposable amenities need not compromise the quality of hotel services." I had an unpleasant stay with Jasper Young Hotel with its dirty and sticky room floor. I shifted to another hotel within the same area on the next day. Surprisingly, this hotel with a lot much cheaper room rate compared to Jasper Young, actually provided sets of nice bristle tooth brushes and toothpastes in their bathroom without any requests, they even provided bath salt for a soak. Their room has a better view, and so much cleaner floor with slippers given.

Room is spacious and clean. Shower room and toilet are separate. Staff are polite and helpful. We arrived late in the afternoon at 5pm and were recommended to have food at the next building's restaurant, which were special and delicious. Walking distance to train station is about 10 to 13 minutes, which is reasonable. We also tried the sandwiches and coffee breakfast downstairs before departure. We really enjoyed our stay 4 nights there!
