Jiufen Sunnyrain-bed-and-breakfast Reviews

A bit of a climb up the hill (10min) from the old street but owner does fetching from old street so you don’t have to drag your luggage up like I did. Toilet has bidet and seems newly renovated but the rest of the room is older. Good for a night stay. Bed is clean and room is very big.

Hard to find : we found the hotel after a few time. The location on Google Maps and Apple Plan were not exactly the same + the place don’t look exactly the same as on internet. Service : we received a call bc the householder was having some personal issues (alright, that’s life). But we called the number, and it was difficult to reach someone + someone were in the hostel but no answer until the same person decided to scream something we didn’t understood. Cleaning : it was clean ! But a smell of humidity. Amenities : we were very happy, necessary things were available. BUT sleepers are not personal (maybe used by all the customers even if maybe cleaned), the breakfast is not homemade, it’s delivered (and it’s actually good !). We enjoyed the place, even if it’s pretty far by foot, and difficult because of the several stairs. Jiufen is actually on a mountain, but it can be difficult for people with disabilities. We were very happy, even we arrived pretty late, and the famous Old Street was closed when we finished to settle.

The quadruple room is in a good location and the room size is moderate As soon as you step out of the room, you can see the sea and mountain views.

Pros: The boss is nice, the bathroom equipment is great, and the bed is soft. Disadvantages: But there is a tomb area nearby, so be careful as there is no refrigerator in the room.

The night view is nice and the service is very good. They even call a taxi for you.

Beautiful view, at the top of the mountain. Traveling to Jiufen Walking Street is quite steep. The hotel employees are lovely, polite and friendly.

I stayed with my family for just one night. The room was clean and cute, which is typical of a B&B, so my daughter was happy. It is located on a hill a little far from the center, and the ocean view from the balcony is wonderful, but if you arrive after dark, it can be difficult to get to the inn through the narrow alleys, so be prepared with Google Maps. is required.

The owner is kind and friendly. But the room was far away from the old street. It happened to be a storm during the trip, so it was very inconvenient to get in and out.

The location... it's really on top. But if you dream of drinking beer while looking at the night view, I recommend it. If you think it's a hotel, consider it because it's an Airbnb, and I don't know Chinese or English well, so I was a bit confused when I first talked to the owner. I wrote down the owner's line ID, but I couldn't find it, so I called. I still receive calls from time to time. I was told to use the entire house because it was off-peak season... DD That was good, but going to Jiufen market is a little hard, and even if people ask, I don't know where it is, so it's easier to take a Google map and come back.

The experience is very bad...I rented two rooms for three days and two nights with my friends. On the first nightI couldn’t bear it, so I only stayed for one night and left. When I arrived, I didn’t know how to check in, and there were no instructions. Need to call the owner personally to find out where the keys are. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the room, even cockroaches and spiders, the facilitiesare also very old, the sheets are moldy andthe mattresses are very hard, I feel backache after a night of sleep... my friends are also very disappointed and disappointed The only two things that I think are good are the friendly attitude of the boss and the beautiful scenery outside.  I hope the boss can improve it.
