XXiaoyunyunI stayed for three days. The room wasn't big but it was very refined and clean, you could tell a lot of money was spent on the renovation back in the day. The pillows weren't comfortable, and the toothbrushes, shower gel, and shampoo were of poor quality; there was no razor. Deji Plaza is right across the street, where Fan XX was reportedly seen, and I used the million-dollar restroom there. The subway station is also convenient, making it easy to get to any scenic spot in Nanjing. Definitely avoid the buffet, it's not worth it.

HhavearestI chose to stay at the Radisson specifically for the Shisanyuan night tour, and it's conveniently located very close to the park's main entrance. The hotel facilities are excellent. The lobby has a great design aesthetic, and while the pool isn't large, it's absolutely beautiful and my child loved it. Our room was spacious and very clean, with excellent amenities. Perhaps because it wasn't a weekend, there weren't many guests, and the air conditioning in the hallway wasn't really on, making it a bit warm. However, the AC in the room worked perfectly, and it was a pleasant surprise that even the standard room type comes with a balcony. The only minor downside was that the restaurant's food quality could be improved.
I also want to commend Shisanyuan (Thirteen Gardens) itself. The night tour was truly stunning, with dazzling, magical lights and immersive performances by the actors. Even though there weren't many visitors, the actors, dressed in Hanfu on such a hot day, were incredibly professional and dedicated. Their interactions were also very engaging. I hope to come back and experience it again when the weather cools down in autumn.

XXiaoyouchengThe bed was massive, felt like 2.4 meters! The hotel environment is super nice, very clean, and luxurious. There were also many international guests. There's an outlet mall nearby, within walking distance, but I didn't go. The styles and brands weren't that impressive. I chose this hotel because I was here for Brother Sheng's concert, and it was close by. It was really good!

From check-in guidance to itinerary consultation, they are warm and thoughtful, with a friendly smile, making people feel like spring breeze. Ms. Mao in the restaurant is meticulous and considerate, and the photographer Yuanyuan adds surprises to the journey. Professional technology and patient guidance freeze the beauty of the hotel garden and guest rooms into unforgettable memories. The whole team interprets the concept of home away from home with sincerity and professionalism. Both the service details and humanistic care are impressive. It is highly recommended to travelers who pursue quality and warmth! The hotel has a trail that leads directly to Qixia Mountain, which can be called a secret place with few people and beautiful scenery. I heard that it is more beautiful when the maple leaves are red. I will definitely come again next time!

Lliuying18422For my trip to Nanjing, I chose the Jinling Zhuangyuan Building Hotel. Its location is excellent, being very close to the subway station and Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple). Commercial complexes like Shuiyocheng are right across the street, making dining very convenient.
Although we had booked a standard twin room, the front desk kindly upgraded us to a Zhuangyuan-themed twin room. The room had a charming, classic aesthetic, was very spacious, and impeccably clean. They even delivered milk daily, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. On the day of check-out, our travel plans unexpectedly changed, requiring a later departure. After explaining our situation to the front desk, they proactively extended our room key access until 5 PM. When checking out, they even gave us thoughtful small gifts: a fridge magnet and a mini Zhuangyuan-themed fan.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. Highly recommended! 👍

The hotel is in a good location, only 15 minutes from Nanjing Station, very convenient.
The pot stickers and duck blood vermicelli for breakfast in the hotel are very good🤭🤭, very Nanjing-style and authentic.
We also checked in for the camp barbecue, but the weather was not cooperative and the wind was a bit strong.
The children also went to the children's club, which was well received👏👏👏

GGrace CallejaMy 82 year old mom, sister and myself booked a 2BR suite at this place for 3nights and 4 days. We were in Nanjing for a leisurely vacation from the Philippines. The place is very unassuming. A modest entrance and lobby but the room, beddings, towels, bathrobes, toiletries and even slippers were top-notch!. Loved the scent of their shampoo and body wash. The suite itself and the rooms were very spacious. Even the toilets are spacious! My mom even chided that it was tiring to walk from one room to the other! The rooms and toilets were equipped with automatic curtains and blinds. Although most of the staff could barely speak any English, everyone was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet that is packaged with the room stay was also superb! So many choices despite few guests. It was mostly a spread of Chinese dishes but I couldn't ask for more! There is a free laundry room in the building! There is a small convenience store and a Luckin Coffee at the ground floor of the building. It is also very easy to get a taxi just outside the building. Added Bonus: this place is just a few steps away from the famous Librairie Avant-Garde (the IG worthy bookstore). Overall, I love Suning Universal Hotel All-Suites! I highly recommend it to all travelers who plan to visit Nanjing. Attached photo is taken from the ground floor of the hotel.

The room was meticulously cleaned; the bathroom mirror and sink gleamed as if brand new. The indoor corridor directly connecting to the airport is a really thoughtful and convenient design. The facilities are practical and no-frills, with a spacious desk and suitable lighting for work and reading. It's definitely the top choice for business travelers.

PPhoebenovaWe enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Aqua City Nanjing. It was connected to the Aqua Mall so it was very convenient to shopping and dining. The cleanliness of the hotel was very impressive. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. There are lots of Chinese food choices and we enjoyed the freshly made chicken noodle soup. The lady who's cleaning the breakfast table has a very nice smile and super friendly. The lady who did the housekeeping was very nice and helpful.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at this hotel over a weekend, and it was completely sold out (fully booked). Having lived in Nanjing previously, I know this hotel is quite famous, but I honestly cannot understand the five-star rating.
The room wasn't dirty, but it was incredibly poorly maintained. The lobby is gorgeous, and the first-floor restrooms gave me the impression that the whole place would be pure luxury, but the room itself was, at best, a three-star experience.
The issues were clear: The wallpaper was peeling, the furniture was scuffed and worn, the ceiling was very dirty, and the sink was separating from the counter. The hotel needs a massive, urgent renovation to truly justify calling itself a five-star establishment!
The location is excellent, and I have no complaints about the cleanliness. The front desk staff was very cordial and polite. However, I sent a message via the Ctrip app before my stay, and it was never answered.
Upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to a ”lake view” on the 23rd floor. Frankly, it was nothing special. The windows were not exactly clean on the outside, and the view didn't impress me. I appreciate the hotel for the upgrade, but much more improvement is needed.
Hotel prices in Nanjing are quite high, especially the weekend I stayed due to the marathon. However, paying 355 yuan for a ok hotel was not worth it; I should have spent a little more for a place with newer facilities and better aesthetics.
I've stayed in many hotels across China, and I can guarantee this one is nowhere near a true five-star rating.
I thank the kind staff for their service, but the management needs to address the urgent maintenance issues.
P.S. Oh, and for those who don't speak Chinese, watch out for those master switches! (Last pic) I pressed one before bed and all the lights went off, and I thought, ”Wow, that's handy! One switch to turn off everything in the room, I like it.” Turns out, that switch didn't just turn off the lights—it cut all power to the room. So, our phones were completely dead when we woke up in the morning! 🤡
