We stay in a lot of Holiday Inn Expresses. Consistency is key for them and I expect it. This one stood out with an individual desk clerk. I provided his name to HIE but don’t recall it now. After my check in, next time by the desk he said hello with my name! Hasn’t happened before in any hotel. He made it memorable for us.

The staff are friendly, and the rooms are nice. One of the few pet friendly hotels in Myrtle beach. We had an ocean front room and we are very satisfied with our stay. If your looking into this place it’s worth trying

This was a last minute 4th of July vacation, we liked easy access to the ocean front. We rented 2 rooms according to the layout of the rooms, accommodating up to 6 people. To say the least, the layout of the rooms were extremely misleading-- online description of the room did not match. Second, the cleanliness of the rooms were non-existent--sticky floors, left over dirty clothes under the bed, and sandy carpet. Third, the bed lacked comfort and bed spread full of visible stains. Finally, the door to room 327 does not work-- we had to Jerry rigged it (front desk said they'd send maintenance for assistance, but never came). Also, the building elevator needs attention-- install sensor to prevent from closing too early especially when people are loading and unloading. The bright side, however, were there brand new refrigerators, stove (semi functioning), A/C, amazing water pressure, and kitchen tools. Overall, we do not see ourselves coming back or recommending this site to my family or friends.

The room had a couple of mold spots on the ceiling, and the floor had some spots where it looked like it had been half mopped. As far as the location goes, it was just right. The only other problem that I had was the breeze way, the parking lot, the elevators were not cleaned, and they had no complimentary breakfast for the guest. Also, it smelt like **** the whole time there, and the pools were always crowded. All and all it was a good stay.

Reasonable rate on a basic room right across the road from the beach. The staff was awesome, but the elevator was sketchy at best. However, it was not a bad stay. Its not the Hilton, but it's a bed and a shower in a convenient location. I'd stay here again.

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel, mainly because we had our dog with us part of the trip and Red Roof doesn’t charge pet fee. The first time we visited was in the winter and the room we stayed was fairly clean, but this time we visited in June, the room was not as clean. First after we checked in, we got a room either it was not cleaned or someone still in it; there were towels and clothes everywhere. We went back to the front desk and changed to a different room, the room showed it was cleaned but the floor was still pretty dusty and sandy, we were too tired to request room change again so we just used the towel to wipe the floor ourselves. Overall the hotel was OK for the price we paid. It is a lower budget hotel and dated. I have no problem with an older hotel, but just wish they can at least clean the room better.

A little old, but overall ok.

This was our second visit to this Fairfield and once again it was a great experience. We were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who quickly got us checked in and in our room. Our room was right beside the elevator and the ice machine but we were not disturbed at all during the night. Breakfast with Mrs Pat was a delight! She kept the food refilled and the people entertained! She is definitely an asset to the hotel! She made sure everyone had what they wanted and even warmed biscuits upon request! The hotel is conveniently located close to her he Tanger outlets and a Walmart.
