I did not have a good experience at Backpacker Cowie in Mumbai. The place was not clean, and to make matters worse, another guest used my bed without my permission. This made my stay very uncomfortable. I would not recommend it.

Great place but not that clean.

location , location ! It was what I expect Colaba district the place to be .Near ti tourist place and more.

Backpacker Cowies is a great budget option in Mumbai with an excellent location near major attractions. The staff is friendly, and the common areas are social. However, I found it a bit dirty, which was disappointing. Also, there’s no on-site restaurant or bar, so plan accordingly for meals.

I stayed here as a female solo traveller and they seem to arrange girls to be in a same room which felt pretty safe.

My stay at Backpackers was great. It was in a perfect location for reaching sights easily. There is great shopping, restaurants and the Gateway within steps. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I booked a private room and was very happy with the accommodation. It had a private bathroom. A/C and Wi-Fi both worked well. Will stay here again.

Great for solo traveller

Great location. Nearby attractions and the embankment. You can meet a beautiful sunrise on the sea and go to Elephanta Island. Cleanliness and order. The room has its own bathroom with hot water. Downstairs sells water and drinks

Convenient location, close to the main attractions. Very nice and attentive staff, you can always ask for water, cookies, helped with exchanging money. The hostel is located in a nice old building. The room is small, mostly the bed takes up everything, the bed itself is comfortable, clean linen, the bathroom is normally equipped. A bit expensive for a small room in a hostel, but the stay was comfortable and pleasant

For solo travelers, this is an affordable accommodation option. From the airport, it is recommended to take a taxi which is more convenient~

The location is great, it's in the center of Mumbai. The facilities are old but they are well-maintained and there are no problems.
