Small but cosy hotel that was very clean and comfortable. Great for a quiet stay. Only downside is there’s no on-site restaurant, so you’ll need to head to a nearby hotel for food. Still, it’s a nice, simple place to rest before heading out to the glaciers.

Very basic facilities but all you need and amazing view in the evening on mount Cook. Picture seems to good to be true

The room was clean and hygienic, but a little small, but there weren't many options at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. There was a public kitchen, which was fun. I made my own steak and cut it while looking at the snow-capped mountains at night.

The hotel is at the foot of Mount Cook, which is perfect for glacier hiking the next day. It only takes a few minutes to drive to the trail or heliport. The hotel rooms are not big, but there is a very large communal kitchen where everyone cooks dinner because there is no catering nearby.

I arrived at noon and there was no one at the front desk. I called and said they would only receive me at 3 pm. It was windy and very cold that day. I asked her if she had hot water. She said no and told me to go to the isite to get it and wouldn't let me go upstairs. , I was shocked 😱. After I checked in, I found out that there is an open kitchen on the second floor, where I can make a pot myself! ! What does it mean? What do you mean? ? ! Didn't I express myself clearly? After sending my luggage, I saw an envelope when I came back, and I missed the reception time again! You have to take the keys by yourself🔑You have to carry your luggage to the second floor. There is no elevator🛗It’s very tiring🐶. Think about whether you want to live here by yourself.

We booked a hotel at short notice. It was almost 22:00 when we arrived at Mount Cook. The front desk was already off work, so we left an envelope and keys. The facilities are just a motel, nothing special. It's okay if you just stay for one night. I took photos of the Milky Way at night. The next day we went to stay at the Hermitage. Of course, if it has facilities, we would recommend the Hermitage next door.

The environment is clean and the kitchen is well-equipped, which is convenient for us to prepare dinner by ourselves. The view of Mount Cook from the saloon is so beautiful that we want to stay longer.

The dining room has a great view and is very warm. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides salt, pepper, sugar and other seasonings. The mountain view room has a very good view. It is a hotel worth visiting again.

The lodge is self-catering, so it's best to buy groceries before entering the lodge. Also, the restaurants that were open five years ago were no longer open, so the Hermitage Hotel was the only one I had, and for a solo traveler like me, eating was a hassle. Other than that, the front desk was kind and nice.

The hotel is in a good location, right in Mount Cook Village, very close to the visitor center. It has a large common area where you can cook, and the scenery is great. You can see the snow-capped mountains outside the window. It’s worth the price!

It doesn't match the price and the room is very small. There is no elevator yet, so it is strongly recommended to book the motel at the foot of the mountain in advance.
