After a not so smooth start, we finally got a room and were then able to appreciate the hotel. Maybe because of the negative reviews, we expected the worst so we were pleasantly surprised…there’s a cosy little lobby, our room had windows on 2 walls, even a walk-in wardrobe! The toiletries were nice. We’ve been on the road for 3 months so we appreciated finally having a TV with many channels. Best of all, there were many electrical outlets, including usb outlets. Even the writing table came equipped with usb chargers!
The location is perfect for us - near the port (we were in between cruises), just minutes’ walk to the river where you find restaurants. It’s also minutes’ walk to a nearby mall with Target, Ross Dress for Less, Publix. We walked about 20 mins to Bayside Market. Right outside the hotel is a bus stop that takes you downtown if you do not want to walk.
The neighbourhood felt safe - we saw lots of police cars and then realised the Miami Police Department is located behind the hotel building.
Breakfast was also better than we expected - artisan brioche bread, wonderful latte (unfortunately the machine was down the next day), orange juice, cheeses, ham and sausages.
Finally the staff were helpful. We didn’t start well but all turned out well in the end 👍
We will definitely stay again when we next visit Miami.

I booked a three-night stay from October 17 to October 20, 2024, through Trip.com and paid a security deposit of $100 USD (AUD 153.11) at check-in. It has now been 24 days since my checkout, and I have not yet received the refunded deposit. I was informed that the refund process would take a maximum of five business days. I sent an email to follow up with the refund process, but I did not receive a response until now.
Please proceed my refund as soon as possible!

When you arrive, they ask for your credit card and enter the numbers into their computer and charge $100 to your credit card. They indicate that it is a guarantee and that the money will be returned within a maximum of 7 days. However, it is a lie. 17 days have passed. I have sent emails and they have not responded to me. In the comments on Google Maps, people indicate the same thing: that the guarantee has not been returned to them. It is a scam, they are lying to you.

The staffs are not accommodating and they did not allow us to stay inside the hotel lobby while waiting for our check in. They collected some hotel check in deposit, promised to credit it back upon check out but it’s almost a month and they did not credit it back. Not recommendable for my friends and family.

The location is excellent if you are wanting a one night stay before a cruise but probably not the best if staying for some time in the Miami area. The outside is not very inspiring but the rooms were excellent and the breakfast very good by U.S. standards.

It's weird, this hotel actually allows check-in before 11 o'clock, and there was no one after that. Other cheap hotels have 24-hour front desk service, and since this hotel allows check-in before 11 o'clock, such a weird rule, they should call the customer in advance to confirm... There was no one on duty at all, no one on duty, and I lay on the sofa all night!

The location is very good and the attitude of the staff is good. The room is not very big but it has everything you should have. The hotel is probably renovated. The old wooden floors creak when you walk on them. The room is not soundproof and you can basically hear the conversation next door. Basic breakfast is provided.

We booked this hotel approximately 6 months in advance. At the end of March 2025, we received a notice from this hotel that they were over booked and could not honour our reservation. Our April is in April 2025. They refused to give us a refund! Do not get fooled not booking this hotel; they will rip you off.

Hotel was perfectly fine. Stayed two nights, before and between cruises. Room was on second floor with no elevator. Staff helped us with luggage first stay. Room and bathroom were adequate for two, one-night stays. Breakfast was fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And YES, I did get my deposit back in a timely manner. There is a Target store, among others, nearby for those last-minute needs before cruising. Shuttle to cruise port available. If I cruise out of Miami again, I will happily stay here again.
