Our first part of our experience was with Cameron from the Service Team. There was an issue in our room 0804 whereby the air conditioning was not functioning and blowing constant hot air ( over 25.5 degrees ) into the room. Cameron was promptly on the scene and explained what he was going to investigate however after a very warm night he himself made all the arrangements with Lisa on the front desk to move us to another identical type room 1304 and assisted us with the move. Cameron's attitude and proactive actions were first class. Well done Cameron. We were on a 4 night prepaid package however after 2 nights we received some distressing news in relation to a critically ill family member . I went down to reception in a very distressed state and spoke with Lisa on the Front Desk who was very empathetic and understanding and could not have been more supportive. Lisa then went and spoke to her Manager and returned and advised that I would be contacted by Luxury Escapes re the situation and our cutting short our holiday . As fortune would have it we were able to get flights back to Sydney that afternoon, got back to our home and off to the hospital to spend 45 minutes with our family member before they passed away. The empathy and personal approach taken by Lisa will remain with me forever at such a critical time in our life. Finally we received an email from Luxury Escapes which stated that Novotel Melbourne on Collins had refund half our prepaid fee and agreed to adjust the package to 2 nights instead of the original 4 nights. The hotel did not have to do that , especially considering the urgent exit we had to make so I thank the Hotel Manager Lisa spoke with as he/she has made that decision . We will be coming back to Melbourne when life gets back to normal and after our experience there is only 1 hotel we will consider staying in and that is Novotel Melbourne on Collins.

Had a fantastic stay. Griffin helped me find a room that suited me perfectly. The room has two beds in it, which I really like, is high up in hotel, and has a walk in shower. Kavita was super helpful, and remembered me from some years ago, when she kindly gave me a soap holder, which I still have in my home office, after I mentioned I liked it. Kavita also kindly gave me a tour of the room after check in. Mannoj kindly reconfigured the fridge in my room, so I could have all my drink bottles upright, which was super kind of him. He also kindly said he would look into having the two power outlet under the table between the two beds converted to a 4 power outlet, before my next visit. The restaurant here is now amazing. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had, and the prices are very good if you are not an Accor Plus member, and excellent if you are one, and get a discount as a couple on meals. I have a picture of two curries I had in my profile. I am really looking forward to my next visit at Christmas time.

I was shocked when I came coz the hotel can't fins my booking!! Lucky I have the confirmation email and the problem was solved in abt 15mins. However I donnoe if they just gave me an avail room coz I tot my room has bathtub but in the end no bathtub 🥲 Bed is comfy but room is small. Have to req for toothbrush and toothpaste at reception as it is not available in room. Also no bottled water given. Location-wise is gd.. Just few mins walk to Melbourne Central and there are some halal restaurants within walking distance too.. do try Blok M, Khao man gai chicken rice and mamak melbourne. Convenient to take the free trams too

So close to the terminals you could throw a stone at them - location for either departing early or arriving late is perfect. Not only was the room comfortable, warm and a great size it also had fantastic views out over the airfield, with clear views of aeroplanes arriving & departing. The staff were welcoming and nothing was a challenge. The one issue we had was resolved quickly by the General Manager when brought to his attention and whilst initially disappointing the outcome was great and we would stay here again if flying in, or out of Melbourne.

This is a really good quality hotel in a nice part of Melbourne. We are Accor Plus members but this night was booked using Emirates points. Accor still gave us a a top floor room with a stunning view and the usual free drink vouchers, which I didn't expect since I didn't book with them. The room was clean with the aforementioned good view and had every thing you need for a short stay. Improvements would be a coffee machine instead of simply a kettle, and a better Chromecast as the one we had just wouldn't work. These are minor issues though. Lifts were very slow, as only one seemed to be operating. Breakfast was efficient and tasty, although the included coffee could be improved and the extra charge coffee was too cold to be enjoyable. All in all an excellent hotel to stay at if you need to stay in the South Wharf end of Melbourne, and we will certainly stay again.
