I stayed in Mechelen because it was closer to the music festival town. The apartment I booked was pretty good. It was larger, clean and tidy. It had a large floor-to-ceiling window, which was very bright. There was a kitchen where you could cook your own food. The bed is not very big, a one-meter single bed, the bedding is clean, and the mattress is quite comfortable.

Needed a stay as was in town for a few to watch KV Mechelen play a football game. This place came up and was immediately booked. Great location about 15-20 minutes walk from station and about five from main square. Room itself contained two single beds. Small wardrobe, desk, table sofa and to along with a small kitchen including two hobs, fridge, kettle and microwave. Breakfast was available for a small charge but was immense and enough for a small packed lunch too. We checked in out of hours and had our key left in a secure lock box with clear instructions sent previously via email. Quiet neighbourhood and quiet occupants too.

Nasty! It stinks, the stairwell is incredibly hot and dirty. Not pleasant. We chose an apartment 'hotel' because you have a kitchenette with a refrigerator, etc. There was a rancid tea towel and a new sponge and even washing up liquid, no wash basin or cap, no drainer or washing up brush, no towel or dish cloth. Oh and there were exactly ZERO forks. Fortunately, we were able to get one through reception. The apartment seemed not cleaned or very poorly cleaned. Immediately reported that the apartment was dirty. Sigh in support, but the receptionist came to vacuum the house himself. That's all well and good, but the floor is so dirty that we didn't dare walk on it with bare feet. The bathroom is downright gross!! Mold and stains on the wall. The toilet bowl floor and walls had clearly not been cleaned. Even after a cleaner was put to work extra the next day (where should I clean? Where not?) I had to scrub quite a bit myself with the sponge and hand soap provided. Then it was bearable, but it was not pleasant. Later I grabbed some extra towels and a new sponge from the cleaning team. The sliding doors could hardly be opened or closed because the rail was so very dirty. The lift was unreliable, we were right next to the stairwell so only used the stairs. The staff was friendly but not hospitable, they didn't really seem to know how to deal with guests, how to clean, etc. There doesn't really seem to be a policy or anything. It is actually not a hotel. The rooms are noisy. Location is nice, close to the center. The beds were okay, with clean and very good bedding, which seems normal to me, but that was a stroke of luck considering the other hygiene. Spacious enough in itself, the layout was not really logical, plenty of cupboard space, although unfortunately the inside of the cupboards were not clean either. Without a parking space it would be very difficult, although there is a parking lot nearby on the square (no idea of ​​costs). Long story short: I would 100% advise against going to Be-Hosting Mechelen. Just DON'T! A waste of money, because it wasn't that cheap.

Begon goed. Vriendelijke receptie en een afgesloten parkeerplaats. Entree is al vreselijk. Lijkt wel een bouwput. De lift komt uit 1983 en vermoed dat er nooit meer naar gekeken is. Trappenhuis stinkt en is bloedheet. Appartement was ruim. Verder was het vies. Het aanrechtblad helemaal kapot. Vloer was oud en smerig. In onze kamer zat niet eens een deur. Maar dat was echt het minst erg. Bloedhete kamers zonder airco of ventilatoren. Kleine bedden maar het matras viel gelukkig mee. Na de nacht zagen we overal ongedierte. Ook in de tassen. Ben mij rotgeschrokken en alles uitgeklopt. Het zat ook in de bedden! Kon de receptionist niet vinden want wilde beklag doen. Dit is nu gedaan en ik verwacht echt een compensatie. Het enige positieve was het grote dakterras. Het appartement was nog duur ook! 630 euro voor 2 korte nachtjes. Dit is het totaal niet waard daarom laat ik het niet zitten. Update. Na al deze ellende krijgen we een tegoedbon van 100 euro. Die hoeven wij dus niet! Ren jaar geldig dus we hebben er niks aan en we willen niet weer in een krot zitten. Helft van het geld terug is een betere oplossing!!

Nous avions loué l'appartement pour 6 personnes au 6ème étage (604) La cuisine était dans un état lamentable , plan de travail cassé à plusieurs endoits, armoires très sales avec présence de fourmis du coup impossible d'y mettre de la nourriture (confiture , choco...) sans y voir un attroupement de fourmis le lendemain; les tiroirs à couverts et ustensiles de cuisine étaient dans un état de saleté (cheveux , miettes ...) les casseroles ont dû être récurées avant utilisation...je n'ose même pas parler des poubelles de l'appartement qui étaient aussi sales dehors que dedans !!! Les salles de douches étaient dans le même état avec une très mauvaise évacuation d'eau. Présence de fourmis sur évier . Sous les lits ont a pu constaté la présence d'au moins 6 mois de poussière . Bref, séjour inoubliable mais pas dans le bon sens...
