as the most expensive hotel in male it could have been better. we travel every year to maldives so was expecting much better. yes, the room was much bigger than our usual room but it was so dirty. one towel had dried stains on it and there was only 1 pair of slippers. the bed sheets didnt look changed as it was all creased up and there was dust every where as if someone just left and it hadnt been cleaned yet. For the price of HKD2500 i expected it clean at least. Breakfast was ok but the service of the chef and staff there were excellent. thankfully the free transfer there and back to the airport the next day was seamless. I would give it another chance for improvement next year.

The hotel is located in the center of Male City, which is very convenient for visiting Male City attractions. The view from their restaurant on the 9th floor is amazing. The best thing about them is their service. The shuttle service staff is very enthusiastic. The front desk staff Aisha is very good, speaks half Chinese, and is very warm and hospitable. She provided us with a lot of help. Shangri-La gave me a wonderful start to my journey in the Maldives. Thank you very much.

I booked an executive room, which was quite expensive, and included breakfast and dinner for 3 people. But I was only given dinner for two, and only $25 per person! The appetizer on the menu was $18! Otherwise, don't fool us with "dinner included", we went to a restaurant outside to eat! Fortunately, I reported to the platform in time, and the previous 2-person meal package was changed to 3-person (weird meal package) when I checked out. The executive room was very small, just a corner, and the indoor light was dim. The air conditioner broke down in the middle of the night, and it took 2 hours to fix it! It's also owned by the Shangri-La Group, you can't tell!

The service was very friendly. As soon as I left the airport, someone picked me up and took me back to the hotel. Check-in was very fast. After check-in, I made an appointment for the next day's airport drop-off. After check-out the next day, the car was waiting at the door and took me back to the airport seamlessly. The restaurant food was also very good. The only downside is that the water in the bathroom is yellow.

The hotel service is extremely poor. The room I originally booked included 2 breakfasts. I invited my colleagues who were on a business trip to have breakfast together.
