Location was phenomenal. Staff was great. Hotel itself was very nice. Only downside was no noise at all in room. As no noise from a/c. With it being so quiet you could hear the street noise all night long. Like people partying and sirens off and on. It’s on a busy street so needs some kind of little noise machine to blend out the outside traffic and noise.

The room is clean and tidy

This is a great hotel in a central location and the staff is very helpful. We had a suite with a great big terrace and even though it was January we could still enjoy the mornings and unwind at night on it. The rooms, bathrooms and closest are spacious. The staff was very helpful in helping us make dinner reservations and getting around.

Sadly, not what we were hoping for: room was on the smaller side: we are Bonvoy members and we had to ask to be changed. Then we arrived at the new room: there was a soiled towel left behind in the bathroom ☹️ gross. Frankly, arriving from a long trip and asking for your best option, you expect a bit more. Not the case. We wrote to the manager, we got an email back, as we were about to leave. It’s a well situated hotel, nice enough, but didn’t sit well with us. They could do better with service. Staff should know these things. It’s a beautiful property and your staff seems disinterested.

My husband is a titanium member so we stay at a lot of Marriotts! Location, location, location is the old real estate adage & this applies to this hotel. It’s in a perfect location for tourists. A 15–20-minute walk in either direction takes you to the Prado or the Palacio Real (Royal Palace). We loved this location & you will also. Its on a busy street with lots of shopping & restaurants. NOTE Uber cannot legally access the Gran Via so be sure & take a taxi! Pros: Excellent front desk staff & bottle of water upon check-in. We were upgraded to a suite with an inside courtyard view which we preferred since there was no noise. The suite was beautifully appointed. Living area with couches & tables & chairs & separate bedroom & bathroom. It overlooked an inner courtyard & that was what we wanted as it was very quiet. We stayed several nights. The hotel entrance was separated from the casino which we liked. Free glass of wine at the bar for titanium members. Lots of places to eat nearby & we liked Vinitus tapas bar close to the hotel that they recommended. Cons No lobby seating area & nowhere to sit beside restaurant, bar or your room as there is no lobby. The breakfast buffet was either 30 or 35 euros & very disappointing - not worth it but we got it for free as a titanium. The buffet was very small & they quickly ran out of croissants & never replaced them even though we were there before 8am one morning. Service was below Marriott standards. Buffet did not have a large selection of food. Below average breakfast buffet & service for a high-end hotel. Hotel does not have the WOW factor, like so many other European Marriott Hotels we have stayed at. See my review of the Barcelona Cotton House. Only a 4-star hotel because breakfast was not up to par & there was no lobby to sit in. Also, no glass of cava is offered upon check-in like the Cotton House in Barcelona. Conclusion - although we liked the location, I would try another Marriott on our next visit. Great property at great location! Be aware that you will find a lot of people in the streets shopping in the main street, and there is a lot of traffic, so avoid driving a car. Loved the front desk staff, they were very helpful and friendly!! They need to improve the service and quantity at the breakfast, and the space of the gym, but the room was very comfortable and pretty clean. Recommended!!

Contemporary, upscale, convenient location. Nicely appointed rooms. Quick check in. On the Gran Via and all the major sites in walking distance. Would stay here again. Very comfortable. Didn’t have the breakfast so can’t speak to it. Didn’t find the street noise a problem at all.

I’d never recommend anyone to ever stay at this hotel: Honeymoon disaster. If you don’t want to sleep for 4 days, this is home. Almost the entirety of the hotel is facing a sidestreet which host bar patrons screaming until 4 in the morning, when the leave they have a huge truck cleaning the streets with employees yelling to each other & cars waiting behind them honking because they cannot pass. It was brutal. Our junior suite was dirty with non-removable stains on carpet, shower floor, ect. When brought to staff’s attention, they were unhelpful/unwilling to accommodate a room change/refund.

Very good boutique hotel in the Autograph Selection group of Marriott. Excellent and attentive staff that will handle your needs in a proactive manner. Just top flight people. Breakfast was excellent and food prep and presentation top notch. Super location too.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful . Between helping us navigate finding restaurants to eat and things to do everything was above and beyond. Hotel is beautiful and sleek. We were lucky to have a full sized outdoor balcony with sitting area and lounges .

The hotel is located in La Granvia, which makes it a little bit hectic. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. We were located in the fourth floor on the back side of the hotel which made it comfortable since we didn’t have any noise from the street The reception staff was great as well as the service from the breakfast ladies. In overall, I would recommend the stay.
