At the beginning it is hard for me to choose even the review is positive, but when I arrive and check in, I totally change my view. The surrounding is cozy, the room are clean with no cigarette odour even they provide ash tray in the room (suggest owner take away the ash tray and put a notice smoke at provider smoking area out side the premises), toilet are bright and water pressure is good (but hope the owner can make a little bit changes for the wiring system of the water heater), the food is tasty and size are too big for solo traveller (suggest to owner set a price for small size for not wasting food), the owner parents are friendly and always give the good service. At night, surrounding is quite and good to rest. it is a walking distance to Jing shang ling tourist center but if planning to do the sunrise walk the owner will provide a transfer service to the entrance at 330am. Overall it is a good choice to stay here.

What stands out at the Farmhouse is the staff and their willingness and commitment to helping each visitor. The rooms may be a bit sparse, but the location and the people more than make up for it. From driving you to where you need to be, to making sure your stay is as functional and comfortable possible, the owners and their staff know how to get things done. If you need a stay in this neighbourhood (and if you want to walk a lot this is a good idea) - stay here!

This hotel is great if you plan on spending more than one day at the Great Wall to see the sunrise or sunset. The hotel is an easy 25 minute walk to the Great Wall. The area doesn't have much, only vendors and local restaurants. No one in the area spoke any English which was difficult. The hotel room was simple. I wish the wifi worked in the hotel room.

Great place to stay if you want to try to see sunrise or sunset at the Jinshangling section of the Great Wall. The family is super friendly, they made us vegetarian/vegan meals all for a reasonable price (there is not much else around). Sometimes we were a bit confused about what was happening but everything worked out in the end!

Hidden gem! Best value for money around Jinshanling section of great wall. The owner is very friendly, explains everything about the area, has basic English and offers a service of taking you to the park at 3:30 am to watch the sunrise. Epic!

Small hotel nearby (2km) the entrance from the great wall. Perfect service and clean, modern rooms. The owner explained us everthing about the trip to the wall and even organized a taxi to the entrance. We can fully recommend a stay there!

Amazing stay at the farmhouse. The owners are so hospital and were very helpful with driving us to places. The food cooked by them is also very tasty and clean. It was amazingly good. Would 10/10 recommend! We decided to hike Jinshanling in the morning and the host was willing to wake up very early to drive us to the entrance!

The owners are very friendly. The accommodation is very clean and modern and has a restaurant where you can order delicious food. The location is very good. Although close to the ticket office the owner gave the ride for free. Thanks All recommendations.

Qiangsheng Farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay. The owners are very kind. They drove me back to the bus terminal in Miyun when I had finished climbing the wall, they also cooked me a lovely dinner when I arrived. The hotel is very close to the ticket office, which is a real bonus. I would definitely recommend staying there.

We had a great stay. The Jinshanling part of the wall is stunning, and our hosts were incredibly helpful. They facilitated our hike by picking us up at the end, offered to help us pick up groceries, and organize our route back to Beijing. The location is ideal for beginning the hike early in the morning (approximately 15 minutes walking distance to the visitor center)

The locations was the best, less than 10 minutes walking distance from the visitor centre to the wall. We had always good at the location and everything was incredible. Everyone was super welcoming and gave us very helpful tips about how to best enjoy our tour.

Very nice little hotel located near the entrance of the Great Wall (please note that there is still a little bit of walking uphill to the entrance, but for us backpackers, it was perfect! We didn't have to take a taxi to get there). There was a super nice lady (the owner?) who tried to teach us a few Chinese words and kept our bags safe while we were visiting. The restaurant is quite nice too. Would definitely recommend!

Very good value for money! Everything is clean and the beds are fine. Nevertheless there is a little bit of a smell from the douche. Hosts are very nice!
