Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Ping'An Zhuang Village, Longsheng

Our arrival to the village was a bit difficult and we might have been a tad grumpy after having to climb up 20minutes vertically from the bus stop to the hotel with our 2 heavy suitcases, but immediately upon arrival our mood took a 360 shift. The owner was super friendly and told us that he even tried to reach us to pick us up by car but couldn’t due to our international number. We then got a room upgrade and he showed us where we can head out to see the first sights. We originally planned to stay only 1 night, but ended up loving our stay so much that we stayed an extra evening. We had a very nice European breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful view and made friends with the local cat. All the hikes and cultural experiences around were amazing, we especially liked the Dazhai-Ping’an hike, with so many amazing sights and views along the road. Was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable 3 days in our 3 week trip in south China. At the end of our stay the owner drove us down to the bus. We would absolutely love to come back and spend a full week here in any other season.

We booked two rooms at this hotel, and both were absolutely beautiful. The direct view of the rice fields is stunning and indescribable. It was one of the most wonderful stays I have ever experienced. The tranquility and beautiful landscape offer everything you need to relax. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, and they are also exceptionally good cooks. We ate at the hotel every evening—simply delicious. It's a wonderful place that I can wholeheartedly recommend to everyone.

We absolutely loved our stay at Baike. The hotel is beautiful with the most amazing view I've ever seen. Jason and family are fabulous hosts and really looked after us. I was unwell for one morning and Jason went above and beyond to help. The food was delicious and good value. The assistance on where to go and what to do was great. We would love to come back and visit again!

It has a beautiful and unique spot in the area. You only need to walk 3 min, and you are in the middle of the rice fields. So beautiful. Rooms are like in the pictures, very traditional style. The only thing I could critisize is that inside the hotel it's a bit cold and that they need to check with guest if they prefer western/ Chinese breackfast options, so they can choose and not assume and just prepare it based in if they are Chinese or not. The lady at the entrance was kind and very helpful.

The family who run are very accommodating and friendly. They’re on the lower part of the village which is good because not so many stairs to climb up to reach them, but the view is just the side of the rice terraces not overlooking them all. They helped us carry our bags up and were quick to supply us with whatever we were lacking. The rooms were very clean and new, nice woodsy smell, and excellent views of greenery outside. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the evening, it’s so quiet and dark with the sounds of a small waterfall and frogs. She made us breakfast according to our time schedule, really delicious traditional rice noodles with fried eggs. We had dinner there one evening too and really liked her style of cooking. We all agreed it was the best rice we’ve had in China! I would definitely recommend staying!

This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews. I've even specially included a photo with the host family, hoping everyone will support their business. There haven't been many tourists lately, but my experience was absolutely phenomenal.

This B&B is conveniently located near the Qixing Banyue Observation Deck, making it very easy to get there. Although it's situated quite high up, the owner provides a thoughtful pick-up/drop-off service and even helps with luggage. The rooms offer fantastic views, are generously sized, and spotlessly clean. The B&B also serves delicious meals and breakfast; the food is made with fresh ingredients and is reasonably priced. A special highlight is the proprietress's homemade rice wine – it's absolutely delightful! It's incredibly convenient to stay here as all your dining and accommodation needs are met. I will definitely choose this place again on my next trip.

Beautiful place, 5minutes walk away from the Longji rice terrace main viewing platform. But that makes it kind of hard to access if you don’t have a car - but so as the touristic area as a whole. The room was as on the pictures with a beautiful balcony and view on the mountains and the sunrise. The bed was confortable and the room spacious. The staff didn’t speak English but was willing to help as much as they can, they for instance booked a taxi back to Guilin for us (count 2h30 to be safe). They wouldn’t do the foreigners registration for us. They offer dinner options that were really good as well as a tasty noodle soup for breakfast.

Communication before booking was smooth. The owner picked me up and dropped me off at the scenic area entrance. The guesthouse is located next to an asphalt road. I stayed in a third-floor room with a balcony. In the morning, accompanied by birdsong, I sipped hot tea and gazed into the distance from the balcony, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city… The owner provides meals; enjoying monk fruit tea and the delicious flavors of fresh ingredients prepared with skillful cooking was truly delightful! The family was incredibly kind and hospitable, answering all my questions. Because of the winding cobblestone streets and unfamiliarity with the area, I got lost in the dark. I called the owner, who not only provided specific directions but also reassured me that she would come to pick me up. A truly worthwhile trip! Highly recommended!

The room was clean, and the host at reception was wonderful. We even received a complimentary upgrade to a room with a superior view, offering expansive views of terraced fields. We also got to participate in some local activities, such as weaving straw sandals and making oil tea. Ordering at the restaurant was convenient, and the food was delicious. The only slight downside was the slow serving speed, but the host explained that in the mountains, all dishes are prepared fresh with local ingredients, which is completely understandable. Before we left, they even gave us a thoughtful farewell gift. Overall, it's a very considerate and welcoming homestay.
