Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Jinkeng Yao Village, Longsheng

Facilities: Well-equipped. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: Excellent. The view is incredibly open. It rained all day when we were there, so my friend and I just stayed in the hotel. We bought a cup of coffee and quietly enjoyed the stunning rice terrace scenery all day long! Service: Fantastic! They helped us with transfers and carried our luggage, and the food prepared by the owner was delicious! The lighting wasn't great when we wanted to take photos, so the owner even went out of their way to set up lights for us!

Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!

This place is probably as deep into Longji as you can get. We arrived on a rainy day, and the mountain paths were muddy and difficult to navigate. Luckily, the owner was incredibly helpful and even drove us up and down the steepest, most challenging part of the trail – really appreciate that! Our room had a tatami mat and floor-to-ceiling windows that looked directly onto the terraced fields. It was a shame it was so foggy and cloudy, I could only imagine the view.

The room was spotless, and the balcony glass was sparkling clean. I especially appreciated the two-layer balcony door, which included a screen door. Even the disposable shower cap had a hair tie inside – such thoughtful details that made me feel so comfortable and pleasantly surprised. My long-awaited 'true-to-life' fishing experience didn't happen because I got my period on the morning we arrived at Longji. The owner said I'd need to go barefoot for fishing, and since it wasn't a warm day at all, I just didn't have the courage to get into the water barefoot. I almost cried! We had dinner, and the next day's breakfast and lunch at the guesthouse. I strongly recommend that anyone staying here avoids eating at the Jinkeng Dazhai car park – the food here at the guesthouse is absolutely delicious!!! We also had an extra person join us unexpectedly, and the owner didn't charge extra for their breakfast. The owners (I assume it's a couple) and the staff were all incredibly kind and helpful, even offering directions proactively. All in all, it was absolutely wonderful!

Excellent location , in the Dazhai village center, easy 7 minute walk to the Dazhai parking lot for the cable car and the local buses to Ping'an and long hair show village (forgot the name). You can also walk to three observation platforms from the foothill to hilltop. Room: spacious, clean, with all the amenities as described. Hosts: a young couple with kids and mother, nice, welcoming people. Although they do not speak English, you can easily communicate via WeChat. They helped me with booking a bus to Guilin. The hotel is recommended for nice views and local village experience. I would like to have a menu, as well as a sketch map of the area with observation platforms, villages, hiking routes in English. Information on local events and local but routes/ schedules would also be helpful for non-Chinese tourists.

The room was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. The balcony offered a beautiful, expansive view of the terraced fields. Breakfast was included, and we just needed to arrange lunch and dinner with the owner. They also provided shuttle service up and down the mountain, which was incredibly convenient. The service was warm and attentive. I had to go up and down the mountain several times for personal matters, and the owner was always very enthusiastic about driving me and offering assistance. Truly commendable!

Our stay at Yundu Panjing Mountain House was absolutely incredible 🤍 The place is stunning, with breathtaking views over the rice terraces, truly a magical setting where you feel peaceful from the moment you arrive. The hospitality was exceptional. The team took such great care of us throughout our stay. They even helped us buy local rice directly from villagers and surprised us with lovely farewell gifts. Their kindness and attention to detail really made the experience special 🥹 The room was very comfortable, clean, and perfectly matched the atmosphere of the village. Waking up here surrounded by nature and incredible mountain views is unforgettable. And of course, a special shoutout to Bobo, the hotel’s mascot 🐶 the sweetest and friendliest dog, who made our stay even warmer and more enjoyable! Huge thanks to the whole team, this is a place and a memory we will cherish forever. If you’re coming to Longji, you must stay here ❤️

The smart home system in the room worked really well, and we had a direct view of the terraced fields from our window. However, the air conditioning and mini-fridge were quite noisy at night, which might be a problem for light sleepers (like me), but my boyfriend slept soundly. Also, the tap water was cloudy for a while, which might be a common issue for guesthouses in the mountains. The owner was very welcoming, and the food was delicious, haha! The free breakfast was also quite generous. It was very convenient to get to the observation deck. Overall, I recommend it.

Absolutely stunning! What a hidden gem of a guesthouse we found in the Longji Rice Terraces. Stepping inside, it's like a whole new world, full of delightful surprises everywhere you look! To find a guesthouse with an elevator in these deep mountain terraces is incredible; it saved us from the struggle of going up and down stairs. The guesthouse is exceptionally clean, truly reflecting the owner's taste and the high quality of the establishment. Sitting on the balcony, basking in the sun and gazing at the distant rice terraces, is simply breathtaking!

Stay here. If you have travelled in China at this price point, you will know that hotels can be sorted largely into two categories: “I can’t believe that this awful place is this expensive,” and “I can’t believe that this nice of a hotel is this cheap.” This hotel fits squarely in the latter: it is exceedingly clean; the staff are very friendly; the food is good (you can have lunch or dinner here in addition to the complementary breakfast); and it is well located relative to the central village and various lookout points (it also has a nice view itself, either from its balconies, or eastwards along a small stone path through the terraces). If you are looking for a great place to stay while relaxing in Longji, look no further!
