Had the cheapest room in the basement. Very basic with indoor window only. Bathroom was tidy though, shower quite okay. Towels fresh and enough space for luggage. You could hear and feel the subway beneath, but this didn’t disturb me. Bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast only ~5pound, great value for that money! Location fantastic, just near Paddington Station and Hyde Park.

I have just written a review of another London hotel we stayed in and rated it excellent. Unfortunately, this review will be very different. Starting with the positives: the location is great. Being a stones throw from Paddington Train and Tube stations make it an ideal locstion to explore London from and to travel to other parts of the country. Hyde Park is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. This was the reason I booked the hotel; however, there are many other hotels with great locations, so please do read the reviews carefully if you want to have a relaxing and comfortable place to sleep in at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Amenities: quite frankly the hotel is run down, badly maintained, dirty and unsafe. The carpets are extremely old, dirty and smelly. The pillows are covered with stains, bathroom tiles are broken and every surface is in need of a new paint of coat. The stairs are extremely steep and some of the handrails are not fit for purpose. These are just a few things, the list is endless. Service: Check-in was unpleasant. The front desk staff was not friendly and was only interested in having us sign a card to say the hotel is not responsible if valuables go missing from our room. This made me us feel uneasy right away. Breakfast was basic, but decent enough. The two ladies who serve breakfast and the nightshift front desk worker are the best thing about this hotel and I sincerely hope they are highly appreciated by the hotel manager. As a Brit, I am very disappointed that this hotel may be the first and last impression that visitors from other countries have of the UK. My overall rating is 1. The location rsting on all the reviews make the hotel seem better than it is. To the owners/managers, please spend some money on improving the hotel facilities. You will make more money in the long run.

not a expected stay..... it is a old traditional house that convert into a hotel. It is more like budget stay in Geylang (as in Singapore standard.) worst then hotel 81 type of standard. mind you that there is no lift. so big luggage family.... Do not attempt to stay there.

I am writing to provide feedback on our recent stay at your hotel. While the location was excellent, we found that the hotel itself was in need of some improvements. Firstly, I would like to highlight the positive aspect of our stay, which was the great location of the hotel. It was conveniently situated near various attractions and amenities, allowing us to easily explore the area. This was definitely a major advantage during our visit. However, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. The rooms appeared to be in need of a deep cleansing, as there were noticeable stains on the carpets and walls. Additionally, the furniture and fixtures seemed worn out and outdated. A fresh coat of paint and new beds would greatly enhance the overall appearance and comfort of the rooms. Furthermore, we found the lack of a welcoming lobby person to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not greeted or assisted by any staff members. This lack of hospitality made us feel unwelcome and left a negative impression. In conclusion, while the location of the hotel was excellent, we believe that improvements are necessary to enhance the overall guest experience. A thorough cleaning, along with updates to the rooms and furniture, would greatly improve the comfort and aesthetics of the hotel. Additionally, having a friendly and welcoming lobby person would contribute to a more positive and enjoyable stay. P.S. positive side- I truly appreciate the staff at the hotel who made the effort to move us to a more convenient floor. Additionally, it's always a pleasant experience when the breakfast lady is friendly and accommodating. (No elevator/lift) (I paid too much for 3nights so I was expecting a good place to relax after 27hours of travelling with a toddler).

This was a great place to stay for the one night I needed it, staff were very friendly and the location was right next to the train station to the airport. The room as quite small, especially the bathroom as the shower was right next to the toilet with only a curtain separating the two. Overall I had a good nights sleep and it had everything I needed and was clean.

Well located hotel, but with narrow and uncomfortable rooms, friendly, efficient service and few breakfast options, no parking, but good public transport connections.

The guides were very friendly and it was close to Paddington Station. However, there is a lot of creaking noise and there is no soundproofing. Every time a train passes, the ground shakes.

The room was average, the facilities were average, and the Indian at the front desk was very cunning. When I asked about the extension price, he immediately raised the price by RMB50 on his computer. However, there is actually a breakfast of 5 pounds, including eggs, yogurt, bread, coffee, and orange juice. It is still a good deal to eat a full meal.

Very dirty facilities, stains on the sheets, headboard and all the carpet, without a plug in the sink, the subway passes constantly underneath, impossible to sleep on the ground floor listening to the train all the time. HORRIBLE
