Hotels in Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple, Lhasa

This hotel is a little gem in Lhasa. First of all, it’s got a lift, which is a must at high altitude. They offered us free breakfast for the first night, but when we requested breakfast for the next two nights (paying), they actually offered it for free as well. The breakfast room has amazing views of the Potala palace. The beds are very comfortable. There is a large coffee table, a large leather stool and an armchair by the window. And that window has another stunning view over the palace (if you’re on the 5th floor). The bathroom has everything you need, including shower flip flops (although we brought and used our own pair). Toiletries were good too. There were also slippers for the room. Another nice touch was that they would bring a fruit platter to the room every evening at 19:00. This included jujube, cherry tomatoes, clementines and pears. All brilliantly sweet. The hotel is very close to the big attractions in Lhasa, including the aforementioned Potala palace, Jokhang monastery and Barkor Street. And most importantly, they had oxygen in the bedroom. A must have! Finally, the staff is very helpful. They helped us book a takeaway for dinner on our first night and organised the free breakfasts the next day.

The first hotel I stayed in Lhasa after entering Tibet. I had booked and changed the booking before, and finally chose this one. As soon as I arrived at the hotel entrance, the security guard quickly came to take my luggage. Because I had severe altitude sickness when I arrived in Lhasa by train that afternoon, I went to the hospital for oxygen before going to the hotel, so someone helped me with my luggage. I am very grateful. The hotel’s housekeeper Xiao Pu also helped me with my luggage and delivered it to the room. He was very patient and detailed about the hotel’s free laundry service, oxygen supply, etc. The hotel is very clean and provides disposable bath towels, disposable towels, toilet covers, etc. every day. The clean clothes are returned the next day. After the room is cleaned, the supplies will be replenished in time. There is a humidifier in the room. The room is also quite large and quiet. A piece of fruit is provided every day. It is very considerate. If I have the opportunity to come again, I will choose this hotel again

The room is ******* style, and there is 18 hours of high-quality diffused offerings. The sweet tea is delicious. There is also a self-service laundry room on the fourth floor. The breakfast is very rich. The roses in the yard are blooming. Facing Nanshan Park, there is a tributary of the Lhasa River opposite, and the scenery is still very good.

Tangka Hotel is right next to the Jokhang Temple. It is convenient for food, accommodation and entertainment. There is a parking lot, which is also convenient for self-driving. The hotel rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast is rich. I would like to especially praise Xiao Min, the customer service manager at the front desk. From the time we entered the door to the time we left, Xiao Min was enthusiastic and professional. Such a service attitude deserves praise! Next time I come to Lhasa, Tangka is my first choice!

The 3-day trip to Linzhi arranged by Fan Jingli, a travel agency on the first floor, and the tour of the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon are also very shocking! Arriving at the first stop in Tibet, I originally booked only one day because I didn't plan the trip in advance. I was really surprised after checking in. The breakfast is said to be prepared by a Nepalese lady. It is very rich and full. Haha. Then I stayed for three consecutive nights. Every staff member was very warm and thoughtful. Because we had a little altitude sickness, they also provided us with medicine. They also gave us souvenirs before departure. We talked a lot about free time. One sister also showed us the vegetables she grew on the balcony, as well as strawberries. Haha, you can see that they are all people who love life. I am really happy to meet them. Maybe this is the meaning of travel. The trip to Tibet was finally achieved, but this time the time was limited and there was no advance planning. There were many places that I didn't have the opportunity to go. I will definitely come again next time~~~~

On the last night of the Yunnan-Tibet trip, I took the green train from Linzhi to Lhasa last night. This is my return to Lhasa, which I have been dreaming of for 12 years. Sitting in the taxi, I felt the huge changes in Lhasa over the years. Passing by the Potala Palace, I was a little excited, hahaha. Jicai International Hotel (Lhasa Potala Palace Branch) was booked a month in advance. It is a comfortable hotel located in Lhasa. The hotel was selected because of its geographical location and special services. Lhasa Station is about 20 minutes away from the hotel by car. The Potala Palace and Potala Square can be reached on foot (about 10-15 minutes). The transportation is very convenient. The hotel facilities and services are very good, and oxygen equipment is also provided to help guests relieve altitude sickness. On the night of check-in, a snack, a fruit, a good night milk, a rhodiola drink, and a ******* costume photo were given as gifts. The overall cost performance is super high.
