It feels more like a ryokan-style youth hostel than a ryokan~
The rooms are all connected to each other in a single room~
But the hot springs are great~
I'll heal you and go~ After checking in, enjoy the hot springs the next day and be sure to rent a bicycle (200 yen) and take a tour of the town~ It's really healing~

Great

The location is not that great because it is in a remote mountain village. However, you can get there by bus no. 17/19 from Kyoto Station, and if you contact us in advance, we will pick you up at Ohara Station. They are not picky about check-in or dinner times, and they will be flexible depending on the situation. If possible, it would be better for both parties to arrive with plenty of time, but don't worry too much if you are late. If you let us know in advance, we will accommodate you. The dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and the hot springs were excellent for relieving fatigue. The accommodation was also spacious and had a nice tatami room, and all the staff were friendly. It was a very memorable night in Kyoto that I will definitely visit again if I have the chance.

Located very close to Jakkoin Temple, this is the perfect inn for those who want to experience a rustic atmosphere. The hot springs were also good. However, there are no washrooms or toilets in the rooms, and they are shared.
The breakfast and dinner meals were especially delicious, especially the rice. However, it seemed like they were short-staffed, and there were some issues, such as the sake I ordered not being served, or although I asked "Is the sake ready yet?" and they brought it, there were no extra glasses, and the price of the sake was double-counted when I checked out. (They corrected it when I asked.) The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was peak season, so I think it was within the acceptable range.

I am Korean. I could speak Japanese, so there was no major inconvenience.
Advantages:
1. Price / The price of high-end hot spring ryokans is too expensive, but I think this is a good price assuming you are going with friends.
2. Room / This is a tatami room that is clean and has a uniquely Japanese cozy feel.
Because it was in the mountains, the air was good and there wasn't much dust.
3. Food / Dinner was a soybean paste nabe base pot dish.
The ingredients are fresh and it's fun to add them yourself. The quantity is sufficient and delicious.
4. Hot spring / Can be used both in the evening and in the morning.
The evening and morning have different hot spring design themes. It is divided into rock hot spring theme and wooden hot spring theme.
disadvantage:
1. Location / If you are thinking about this place, it should be the first thing you think about. Route 17, which can be taken from Kyoto Station (travel time more than 1 hour), runs every 30 minutes, and because it is so deep in the mountains, radio waves are not good. If you go in winter, it gets dark quickly. Instead, if you arrive at the Ohara stop and call the accommodation, they will drive to pick you up.
2. There is no toilet in the room/room. Fortunately, there is a bathroom at the end of the hallway when you leave the room, so it's not far, and it's very clean for a public bathroom.
There is no refrigerator.
Additional information
Please note that there is no convenience store nearby and there is no refrigerator in the room.
The information board at the front desk is also in English.
Dinner reservations are available until 18:30.
Breakfast requests are available until 08:30.
When moving to your accommodation, get off at Ohara stop and call the accommodation, and they will come to pick you up.
When checking out, a shuttle is dropped off at Ohara stop every 30 minutes from 08:00 to 10:00 (please inform the front desk when using).
Towels are not refilled per night, so you have to dry them in your room (not sure if you stay for more than 1 night)
At dinner, only food is provided and alcohol is available at an additional charge.
You must pay the hot spring tax when checking out. 350 yen per person.
The building is located in the mountains and has a very quiet atmosphere, so even if you make a little noise, you can hear everything in the hallway (not recommended if you are going for a party).
