Dormy Inn Kumamoto Natural Hot Spring Reviews

The hotel situated at the bus terminal where buses go directly from the airport. Staffs are friendly and always happy to help. Free coffee and tea at the lobby. Freshments like noodles you can get for free every night. Ice cream is free to take after 10pm. In the morning u can get free yoyurt. Hot spring is very nice and hot. I would stay at the same hotel if I come again.

The staff is friendly and provide good service. The bath house is normal, but can tell its age. I feel the room is very dusty, it’s making my hand itchy and nose sneezy all the time. The bathroom is also old with water marks and mould. I am a fan of Dormy Inn and have stayed in Dormy Inn branches at Aomori, Hachinohe, Tokyo, and Osaka before, but this Kumamoto branch has the most room for improvement. The hotel is in walkable distance to the castle, so it is great.

Very good location if you want to take bus from sakura machi terminal. Real onsen with ice cream and tasty ramen provided for free. Will definitely come back again.

Good location with convenient stores nearby. Near bus terminal, castle, shopping area. The room is enough for two people. Good hot spring on rooftop. Unlimited ice sticks, free ramen. High recommend for hot spring lovers

Comfy, worth the money

The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The hotel is located near shopping areas, eating places and convenient stores. Nice ambient and spacious room. The hotel provides free soba at night (after 9.30pm), comic books for reading, laundary area, free ice cream, onsen and vending machine for drinks

Very clean and comfortable. Close to the shopping area and tram stops. As expected all Dormy Inn amenities are excellent especially the onsen. One of the staffs could do a bit more approachable and smiley as first impression count.

Great value for what we have paid for. Efficient check-in process. High quality public bath facilities with two hot hot springs (one indoor and one outdoor), one sauna and one cold water pool. Although this hotel is listed as a 3-star hotel, we would say it is much better than many 4-star hotels in many regards. The employees at the check-in desk speak decent English too.

Great location, close to main bus terminal snd shopping district.  Friendly staffs and was anle to offer luggage storage pre/post check in/out.  Onsite hot springs was so nice and relaxing, with complimentary yogurt drinks and ice cream after the bath.  Room was clean and quite spacious.  Definitely will stay again

As usual free ramen at night was nice, but unlike other Dormy inns I’ve stayed in, you can’t take out to your room. The onsen was also not the best with it being rather crowded and not very warm/did not feel very clean probably from the number of people there. The hotel clothes were also not the most comfortable compared to the others I had in Japan. But otherwise everything was clean! And a very acceptable stay.

Love the hot spring.  Good Japanese breakfast.  Again, petite typical Japanese hotel room.
