"If you're after a no-frills, business-first stay in Kuching, Raia Hotel gets the job done. Rooms are surprisingly spacious for the price (RM458 for 2 nights—yes, really), making it a solid pick for short work trips or budget-conscious travelers. The view? Let's just say the ongoing construction outside isn’t exactly postcard material. But if you're mostly indoors or in meetings, it won’t bother you much. Location-wise, it’s about a 20-minute Grab ride to the city center—not ideal, but manageable given the affordability. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise: local staples like kolo mee and nasi lemak hit the spot. Overall, it’s not a resort, but it doesn’t pretend to be. For the price, space, and decent local breakfast, I’d come back again—just maybe not for the scenery."

"The room was comfortable and all the necessary amenities are provided. There was also a nice pool on the top floor that offered a nice view far away. The location of the hotel was pretty good as it was near a couple of local coffeeshop that serves nice delicious local breakfast kolo mee. A short grab ride around 4-6rm away was chinatown that we explored. This was a short trip to attend a friend’s wedding dinner. Hence the exploration was short n simple. We shall stay here again if we come back to kuching for our next trip."

"Whenever I'm in Kuching, this is the THE hotel to stay at! It's simple, the toilet has a bidet, the beds are huge and comfy! It's 10 mins from the airport and has a mall next to it! EVERYTHING IS AMAZING"

Ambience & Comfort The neutral tones paired with warm lighting create a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The sofa and chair are plush and inviting, and the thoughtful placement of cushions adds a nice touch of homeliness. The layout also makes it easy to enjoy both the cityscape and the in-room entertainment from multiple angles. Bathroom The bathroom is spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, featuring a large vanity mirror with excellent lighting, perfect for getting ready. The walk-in glass shower feels upscale, with quality fixtures and good water pressure. The overall design – white subway tiles paired with darker flooring – strikes a nice balance between contemporary and classic hotel elegance. "There is some delay when we check in. The staff not able to find our file coz we book at Jun 2025 and check in Sept. Other then that it is a good location to stay. Convenient to go China Town , Water Front and etc. The hotel room is big but a bit old."

"The hotel was so nice , I have booked one person solo room , it feels very homely and comfortable. I even nap in the hotel on afternoon after morning hiking , it so much like home. The amenities is good and very clean. Breakfast not much option , but Kuching is surrounded by nice food , so I just grab a coffee and light meal in the hotel breakfast , sit in the hotel restaurant and enjoy, then walk to nearby shop for fuller breakfast. There are plenty of food , convenient stall and even famous butter cake mita in walking distance (around 5min). As a solo traveller , I strongly recommend this hotel , it makes me feel safe and not afraid to sleep alone at night time. Will definitely to stay here again if visit Kuching. 😊"

"the 2 bedroom apartment is nice & spacious.. got all amenities as shown in pictures; fridge, 2in1 washer dryer & and small kitchen area (without cooking utensils so basically you can’t cook anyway).. got 3 TVs in total and all 3 can access netflix, youtube etc (use ur own acc).. their road directions around the hotel is kinda weird tho so just be careful not to get in the opposite lane~ anywayyy their service is great especially the receptionists & cafe staff"

"I stayed at the Imperial Riverbank Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room is average-sized but very comfortable, with a good bed that made for a restful sleep. I really liked that the desk is long and spacious enough to spread out my things, there are convenient sockets just beside the bed, making it easy to charge my phone and other devices. The air conditioning works very well and kept the room nice and cool throughout my stay. The bathroom is quite small and could use a few more amenities, but it was clean and functional. One of the best things about this hotel is its excellent location. It’s right by the riverside, close to the old streets, and within walking distance. The Darul Hana Bridge is just a 10–15 minute walk away, and the famous Cat Statue is about five minutes on foot. There’s even a 7-Eleven next door. Overall, Imperial Riverbank Hotel is a convenient and comfortable place to stay, especially if you want to explore the city on foot and have easy access to nearby shops and eateries."
