MOV Hotel Kuala Lumpur Reviews

The hotel itself is good. The cleaner come daily to clean the room. The air conditioner is a bit loud. There was a sign that says I need to pay 200 ringgit if I open the window, I booked a room with window for ventilation but that wasn’t an option. My reservation came with gift of some salt foot soaking ( when I asked the front desk, they were a bit annoyed abt it ) so I just didn’t request it. The main problem is the street ( so many Bangladeshi stores near, and the man would be staring and standing in the street) which is uncomfortable for females especially. The area is convenient everything is nearby ( so many eateries and attractions nearby)

The location is awesome, walking distance to Jalan Alor, I think is a very convenient hotel to stay as well. It’s quite new, and modern. No coffee and tea bags in the room; but there is coffee and tea at the hotel lobby. Honestly I will choose MOV again next time I come back to KL.

Great location, decent price, small rooms. Good for short stays if you want to be somewhere central. Luggage space in the rooms is very limited!

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be well-located for both tourists and business travelers. It's within walking distance to convenient stores, Jalan Alor Street food market, and both MRT and monorail stations, making it easy to explore Kuala Lumpur. Major shopping malls are also nearby, which was a huge plus. I booked a room with a king-size bed, and the space was impressive, definitely more spacious than expected. However, I was surprised that there was no tea or coffee provided in the room. Instead, guests have to get it from the lobby. Perhaps this is the hotel’s way of controlling room maintenance or reducing waste, but it’s still a bit inconvenient, especially for those who enjoy a hot drink first thing in the morning. One thing I found quite unreasonable was the RM 200 deposit required at check-in. It felt excessive, especially since I’ve stayed in many countries and rarely encountered such a high deposit. RM 100 would have been more than sufficient in my opinion. Overall, the location and room comfort were great, but a few small changes could make the experience even better. 我最近入住了这家酒店，整体感受还不错，特别适合游客和商务旅客。酒店地理位置优越，步行即可到达便利店、阿罗街美食街，以及MRT和单轨列车站，出行探索吉隆坡非常方便。周边也有许多大型购物商场，这一点非常加分。 我预订的是一间配有特大床的房间，空间非常宽敞，比我预期的还要大。不过让我感到意外的是，房间内竟然没有提供茶或咖啡，客人需要到大堂自取。或许这是酒店为了控制房间清洁维护或减少浪费所做的安排，但对于喜欢早上起床就喝一杯热饮的人来说，确实有些不便。 另一个让我觉得不太合理的地方是入住时需要缴付RM 200的押金。这个金额偏高，尤其是我曾在许多国家旅行，极少遇到需要缴付这么高押金的情况。RM 100其实就已经足够了。 整体来说，酒店的位置和房间的舒适度都非常不错，只是如果能在这些小细节上做出一些改善，入住体验会更加完美。

During check in, staff wasn't very friendly but also not rude. Staff was instructed to decline request for free upgrade. Did not offer early check in. Had to pay money to check in a couple hours early, almost as the price of what I paid for 1 night. Checkout staff was nice. Location is nice. Pool on rooftop doesnt offer a very good view of the Petronas tower. They do offer water dispensers so you can fill water bottles. Also has slide for kids.

My Family n I having an wonderful stay at MOV,in d Family Loft.Love d vibes at MOV,probably 1 of d most aesthetics n comfortable hotels we ever had in KL.Most recommended n see U again,MOV.

Overcharged for Half-Day Stay — Not Worth the Hassle We stayed at MOV Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and had an issue that completely ruined the experience. We extended our stay by just half a day, expecting to pay a reasonable additional amount — but instead, the hotel charged us for a full extra night without any prior explanation or consent.When we questioned the charge, the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. There was no transparency about pricing, and no attempt to resolve the concern. It felt like we were being taken advantage of, especially since we weren’t even using the room overnight.Nice design and good location aside, this kind of dishonest billing is unacceptable. If you’re considering this hotel, make sure to get everything in writing — or better yet, look elsewhere.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel’s facilities were well-maintained. The location is excellent—close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, which made getting around easy. I created some memorable moments with family during my stay and would definitely visit again if given the chance.

This is my second time stay in MOV. All was great, its easier take a grab car in this hotel. The location is okey for it's price. I like the lounge where i can read some books here and also i can swim every morning with my son in rooftop. This hotel provide refill water in rooftop so we no need to buy water outside, just bring your bottle. Receptionist was so nice and helpfull. House keeping always clean our room everyday, and ofcourse change our amenities. We can ride monorail and MRT near the hotel. This hotel so close to alor road. Infront of starus hotel, there is a food seller who sell nasi lemak with cheap price. Thank you

The hotel was clean and comfy, though I could hear a bit of noise from outside. The service was okay. It’s a convenient location, especially if you're into food — there are plenty of culinary spots nearby, and it’s close to Pavilion Mall too.
