Very nice little hostel. Clean and tidy. They provide pretty much everything you need. Towel, shampoo, locker, water, simple breakfast. Couldn’t ask for more. The staff are very nice and jot a little note for me to self check in during off hours

I had an excellent stay at Jiran. The staff were welcoming and efficient, and my room was clean and well-appointed. The location was perfect, with easy access to attractions.I highly recommended it.

As a regular customer here, I keep coming back because the hostel is clean, quiet and safe. I came to stay to rest before catching my flight or after.. I usually don’t have problems to sleep. BUT! for this stay, I didn’t get any sleep at all! It’s because of the westerners guest making noise, talking and laughing until 1.30am. Mind you there is already notes on the common area telling the guest to keep quiet after 10pm. Maybe the reception needs to remind the guest during check in? Dear future guest, Please be mindful, have some common sense. People staying here to rest. Be respectful!

Very good location. Waking distance to Suria Sabah shopping mall. Good for short stay.

Really friendly staff. One of the Shared bedrooms doesn’t have curtains but the lady told me they are planning to put. Besides that the bed was comfortable. Lounge area is small but is good to connect with other people. Free tea and coffee ! Bread toaster Microwave Fridge. The bad thing is that the shower heater was no so good and then when you flush the water in the toilet sometimes it was not strong enough so you have to wait. There are 3 bathrooms. One was broken during my whole staying. This should be fix asap.

very clean and very cozy for a place to stay, staying here for 2 night and everything was amazing, they provided lots of amenities inc iron, aircond near suria sabah and a cute cafe nearby, the staff was very helpful and friendly, i really enjoyed my stay, thanks

I was surprise this hostel are new! Everything was fresh and clean. the staffs are friendly and very helpful! the dorms are clean and comfortable. Its including bed sheet and towel, Great commune and social area, location are in the heart of Gaya street, Its very convenient. 3-4 mins walk to Jesselton Ferry Point, Suria Sabah, Gaya Street on Sunday and lots of cafe and restaurant nearby! I will stay here again after my Kinabatangan trip is over!

Well, pretty good. A bit cramped and limited. Apart from cooking bowls of maggi, the basic facilities are there Breakfast was just bread. My booking price was RM44. Normally, this hotel is only new because it is comfortable. No noise pollution. If this hotel was located on the upper level of Jesselton Quay I think it would be more interesting. There is a TV. The mattress is thick and firm.

The hostel is quite clean and is about a 5-minute walk from the commercial area, where there are restaurants and eateries. The bed is quite soft and has enough privacy. It may be because it was the off-season for tourism in Sabah when I stayed in February. I was the only one sleeping in a room for 10 people and the sleep quality was excellent. If I visit Sabah again, I will still consider staying here.
