We chose this hotel as it was very near all the shopping streets. However, for the price we paid (about SG$120 per night), it is definitely not worth it. Before arriving at Kobe, was paying the same room price (and even less) at Osaka and Kyoto but these other hotels were way way better. Breakfast was very sad, can skip and go elsewhere to eat. Room was so so cramped. Overall it is no value for money.

It is a large hot spring resort hotel in Arima, so all aspects of the facilities and services are quite complete:
1. Location and transportation: It is a 10-minute walk from Arima Onsen Station. From Kansai International Airport, take a bus for 1 hour and 5 minutes to Kobe Sannomiya Bus Terminal, and then take a 30-minute bus to Arima Onsen. Then take a 2-minute shuttle or walk for 6 minutes to the hotel; you can also take a bus from Hankyu Express Bus Osaka Umeda Station and Kyoto Station, or transfer to the subway or tram in Kobe City.
2. Facilities and services: There are hot spring baths on the upper floors and underground, and the baths are large and spacious. There is also a large garden and swimming pool, which are beautiful to take pictures of day and night. The package I ordered includes breakfast and dinner, and the room minibar is free. There are all kinds of beer and drinks that I can't drink. In addition, there are drink coupons for coffee, juice and wine in the bar. The breakfast buffet is very rich, with both Japanese and Western styles, and many freshly made specialties; the dinner dishes include Kaiseki cuisine including Kobe beef, and the dining environment and food products are worth the price.
4. Various room types: The room I booked can accommodate 4 people, with two beds and 4 tatami mats on the floor. This type of room is not easy to find. The room is spacious, with a long sofa facing the view.
5. Customer service: The hotel front desk will deliver the luggage to the room, introduce all the facilities, dining and hot spring methods, and how to wear a yukata, which is very complete. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to the hot spring street, which runs every 20 minutes, and it is only 500 meters away on foot.

A traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with gold and silver baths.
I personally feel that the gold bath is really good for the skin.
The hotel has thoughtful service, you can have dinner in the room, and the hotel will confirm whether there are any dietary allergies in advance.
The location is also good, you can go around the hotel, the steamed buns and beef patties sold in the small street are delicious. The hotel has a special car to pick up, and I will come to the gold bath next time!

The high-end hotel that has the longest history in Kobe. It is above a free museum about Kobe. It was very luxurious, and had a wonderful restaurant for Kobe beef, but don't forget to reserve online. All rooms face a certain direction toward the mountains, but not toward the water.
During our stay, the gym was not available. And the location is surrounded by luxury brands, not by the station or markets for food.

The city view room has a view of the town. The interior is similar to other rooms. It is more convenient to take an outdoor hot spring on the same floor, but you need to go to the lobby on the first floor to get the key. The hotel facilities are user-friendly. The staff are very nice. It is worth coming to Arima. A wonderful memory
Room and bed much larger than expected for a solo traveller like me at such a bargain. Vintage-style design with elements of clock faces seen throughout the hotel. I especially like how they use clock faces and clock arms to represent the floors the elevators are at. Local is convenient, close to the Sannomiya Subway station. The overall experience was great and I would consider booking this again if I had the chance to return to Kobe.
Hands down best stay so far during my 15 days in Japan and the service is really immaculate. I've been to Japan on several solo trips and this is easily one of the most memorable hotels. The staff are really nice and the hotel room view is incredible. The room they upgraded me to speaks for itself, beautiful bathroom and really good amenities. Although the hotel is situated off the mainland, there is a portliner rail service and also a complementary shuttle service to two of the main stations in Kobe city area. Really value for money.
Fantastic view of the harbor from the hotel room, which is located next to a water front park. The hotel is a bit classic but clean and reasonably comfortable. It was a pleasant stay for my family on our one day visit to Kobe.

GGuest UserThe room is called Izayoi, which is very good.
We booked a huge room with 4 rooms and 6 beds, but we only went with 2 people, which is a bit luxurious.
There are 2 hot springs in the room, one for sitting and one for lying.
The sitting hot spring is quite deep, but the sleeping hot spring is not that deep.
The gold hot spring is rich in minerals and is said to be good for joints. After soaking, you will feel warm and have a free super dry beer, which is very refreshing.
The breakfast and dinner tasted good and were good for hot springs.
I loved the corn rice on the first night the most. I finished the whole pot of rice.
My mother likes this hot spring very much and I believe she will come again next time.
ps This store has a driver who can speak Chinese, which is great. He can pick you up between Arima Town and the hot springs.

RRila_seestheworldRoom was HUGE and so new! View was wonderful and location so good too. Minutes from shopping and eateries. Highly recommended for families and anyone needing huge space. Price was so much more affordable too, considering hotels in Osaka will probably be double or more for a room so big.
SSerenAn exceptional stay! The front desk service exceeded expectations with their attentiveness and professionalism. The staff were consistently friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The onsen was spotless and relaxing, and the hotel’s location was incredibly convenient. Highly recommended for a comfortable and memorable stay!
GGuest UserThe overall price-performance ratio is very unreasonable. The room is large but not practical. There are almost no toiletries. The towels are old and few. The bathroom and the space for clothes are very cold. There is no floor heating. There are no humanized items. It is the worst hot spring hotel I have ever stayed in.
The service is rigid. After checking in, they never showed up again. You have to pay for everything. You have to buy water and coffee yourself. Fortunately, there is a very good cafe downstairs. The attitude is also quite good. When they saw us before closing, they opened the door and made two cups of coffee for us.
The whole hotel is OK only for the decorations at the entrance. The rest are very ordinary. The public space waiting for the hot spring is super cold. There is no floor heating and no air conditioning. The hot spring pool is also very simple, like a public bath, without any beauty.
I will not go there again

KKhunchewsmall room japan standard but it comes with bath tub and good water pressure
the free amenities at hotel lobby were good standard
you can also borrow extra items from the selections at lobby (tempur pillow!)
breakfast is average
but the location was perfect very close to train and bus station
Uuncle John 1974Honestly front desk lady who checked us in was not welcoming, rather rude. Misunderstanding happened shortly due to carpark issues. She came to rectify the issue and I apologise and thank her. Overall. Good service
AAnonymous UserThis hotel location is in Shin Kobe JR station, convenient only if you want to have an easy commute to JR Shinkansen. Otherwise, I do not recommend staying this area as Sannomiya option is much better for more central location to connect to places even though the subway line is underneath this hotel as well. Things I don't like about the hotel is that it's old and travel during winter has no cold AC as it's central heating and dry, you cannot change the AC temperature. Breakfast is quite good so I suggest you to try it if you stay here (the hotel will give you two options - regular buffet or japanese set, I recommend the regular as it is buffet with options and you can find local Japanese food item there too).
CCookie118Location is really good 5 - 10 minute walk from the train station (sannomiya) and ikuta jinja. Their is also a matusya right next to the hotel that is 24 hour, so it is perfectly for breakfast and dinner. There is also a lawsons 30 seconds away which is very convenient. The room was very clean and the amenities were very good too. The staff at the front desk also spoke some English, which made the check-in and check-out much easier, plus it was 24h too. I didn't have any issues but if you do the staff will be able to help you.
Cching kitThe shuttle bus is only a one-way inconvenience. It is very convenient to go to the cable car station. There is no milk in the vending machine, but there is beer. Free dandan noodles are provided for midnight snacks. The room is large and comfortable, but there is no bathing facility. The hot spring is comfortable and has a historical introduction.

Very Good
KkarekarekareBook a female dorm room for 4 people, but I was alone so have the room for myself. The bed is futon style, a thin foam and then the futon mattress itself. We get a new white sheet upon check in. There's a thin full body mirror, small rack for suitcases and personal belongings, but if you need to, there's also safe box near staff room. The female dorm room is on the 2nd floor, next to the shared kitchen so you can kinda hear other guests cooking or working on their laptop with the wifi. You can have your coffe, tea, cup ramen and even light cooking is allowed as they provided the pans, and also some seasonings. The sink and the toilet is next to it, hairdryers are available and the toilet has bidet seat.
The shower room are on the b1f floor, which a little bit of hassle because you have to pass the staff room everytime. You can wash & dry you clothes too in the utility room next to it, but I dont know if they charge or not. Another kitchen and TV room is also here. Rental towels, bath robe, one time use shaver are also available.
Over all a pleasant place if you only looking to for a place to sleep, and wash your self. It's 5 minutes walk from Oishi station. There's a small river near too which also a nice place for a small walk.
