Great location near Chinatown. Walking distance to city centre. Love the boutique feel. Room is small as per most Japan hotel. Sufficient for single traveller though.

It is a large hot spring resort hotel in Arima, so all aspects of the facilities and services are quite complete:
1. Location and transportation: It is a 10-minute walk from Arima Onsen Station. From Kansai International Airport, take a bus for 1 hour and 5 minutes to Kobe Sannomiya Bus Terminal, and then take a 30-minute bus to Arima Onsen. Then take a 2-minute shuttle or walk for 6 minutes to the hotel; you can also take a bus from Hankyu Express Bus Osaka Umeda Station and Kyoto Station, or transfer to the subway or tram in Kobe City.
2. Facilities and services: There are hot spring baths on the upper floors and underground, and the baths are large and spacious. There is also a large garden and swimming pool, which are beautiful to take pictures of day and night. The package I ordered includes breakfast and dinner, and the room minibar is free. There are all kinds of beer and drinks that I can't drink. In addition, there are drink coupons for coffee, juice and wine in the bar. The breakfast buffet is very rich, with both Japanese and Western styles, and many freshly made specialties; the dinner dishes include Kaiseki cuisine including Kobe beef, and the dining environment and food products are worth the price.
4. Various room types: The room I booked can accommodate 4 people, with two beds and 4 tatami mats on the floor. This type of room is not easy to find. The room is spacious, with a long sofa facing the view.
5. Customer service: The hotel front desk will deliver the luggage to the room, introduce all the facilities, dining and hot spring methods, and how to wear a yukata, which is very complete. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to the hot spring street, which runs every 20 minutes, and it is only 500 meters away on foot.
The hotel is very quiet, just a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya and Meriken Park, which is quite convenient. The hotel's breakfast toast is delicious. There is a peculiar smell in the bathroom in the room, but it only has one night, so the overall impact is not great.

Very nice onsen where you can get both Kinsen(golden hot spring)and Ginsen(silver hot spring). Breakfast is buffet with lots of choices. It’s quite near to both train and bus station. There’s direct bus to Kyoto and Kobe. The hotel is located a short distance up the slope. You can request hotel shuttle to train/bus station.
The room was clean with plenty of amenities. Yet, the facility itself was quite old made some strange noises all night and day. I could hear the sound from upstairs and beside that made me uncomfortable.

Highly recommend for a onsen hotel. The add on kaiseki dinner is wonderful. Breakfast is also such an experience. Onsen can be booked for private use which is included in the package. An overall unforgettable experience. Staff can communicate in English, so no worries. Services and care is excellent.
Fantastic view of the harbor from the hotel room, which is located next to a water front park. The hotel is a bit classic but clean and reasonably comfortable. It was a pleasant stay for my family on our one day visit to Kobe.
Hands down best stay so far during my 15 days in Japan and the service is really immaculate. I've been to Japan on several solo trips and this is easily one of the most memorable hotels. The staff are really nice and the hotel room view is incredible. The room they upgraded me to speaks for itself, beautiful bathroom and really good amenities. Although the hotel is situated off the mainland, there is a portliner rail service and also a complementary shuttle service to two of the main stations in Kobe city area. Really value for money.
With a stay at ThinkStay Mt. in Kobe (Nada Ward), you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Arima Onsen and Mount Rokko. This cottage is 20.8 mi (33.4 km) from Universal Studios Japan and 10 mi (16.1 km) from Meriken Park.
Take in the views from a terrace and make use of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access and shopping on site.
Satisfy your appetite at the cottage's coffee shop/cafe, or stop in at the snack bar/deli.

Outstanding
KKhunchewsmall room japan standard but it comes with bath tub and good water pressure
the free amenities at hotel lobby were good standard
you can also borrow extra items from the selections at lobby (tempur pillow!)
breakfast is average
but the location was perfect very close to train and bus station
XxpxpxpxpThe location is great and is really near their city centre. Room is a little small but very cosy. There is a variety of amenities that you can help yourself right at the lobby. The staff there are also very polite and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay there
SSerenAn exceptional stay! The front desk service exceeded expectations with their attentiveness and professionalism. The staff were consistently friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The onsen was spotless and relaxing, and the hotel’s location was incredibly convenient. Highly recommended for a comfortable and memorable stay!
愛愛旅遊2024The hotel is old style, but the overall condition is maintained in good condition. The room is large and can accommodate 6 people. There is also a massage chair. There are two indoor hot springs, one can accommodate 7-10 people, and the other 4-5 people feel crowded. You can also try the open-air bath. The hotel has three private baths, which cost ¥2,200 for 40 minutes. I didn’t have the chance to try them this time. Because I only booked a room, I didn’t have the opportunity to taste the hotel’s food.

KKAH GUANthis hotel situated in very good location beside Shin Kobe Station which can get you to anywhere such as Osaka, Kyoto, Himeiji, even Tokyo. The hotel is consider rather big as compared to local Japanese hotel. Services & breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserIt was a lovely hotel- location was great just 3 mins walk from Kobe sanomiya train station. And the hotel looks and smells new. Check in was a breeze via the machine but there is always someone friendly to help. They even have complimentary drinks and dessert each night 8-10pm. The triple room is spacious with enough room to open luggages. A very good find with the price point and location. 24 hour Don DONKI is just opposite the hotel. Will definitely stay again
CCookie118Location is really good 5 - 10 minute walk from the train station (sannomiya) and ikuta jinja. Their is also a matusya right next to the hotel that is 24 hour, so it is perfectly for breakfast and dinner. There is also a lawsons 30 seconds away which is very convenient. The room was very clean and the amenities were very good too. The staff at the front desk also spoke some English, which made the check-in and check-out much easier, plus it was 24h too. I didn't have any issues but if you do the staff will be able to help you.
LLucky101I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free.
The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings.
Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage.
While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.
Overall, I highly recommend the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel for its prime location, convenience, and the abundance of nearby facilities. It’s an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kobe, whether for business or leisure.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located halfway up the mountain, but it is not far to walk to the main hot spring street, and the hotel's bus can also be used for pick-up. Breakfast and dinner are available at different times, and you can choose the dining time according to your own living habits, which is very considerate. The private hot spring pool in the room is large enough, and the massage chair on the balcony is very comfortable. The dinner is great. We stayed for two nights. The hotel arranged Kaiseki cuisine on the first night. On the second night, the hotel provided a choice of Wagyu Sukiyaki/Wagyu Shabu-shabu/Fish Shabu-shabu. If you still choose Kaiseki cuisine, the hotel will arrange different dishes from the first day, which is very attentive. The ingredients are very good, fresh and delicious, and the portions are large. I ate until I walked out of the wall on both days. In short, it was a very satisfying leisure experience.

Very Good
GGuest UserThere was only one toilet voucher, and in the morning, when I wanted to use it, I was in use and I was in trouble.
Other than that, I liked it very much. I'm a repeater, and I'm using it when I watch baseball.
