Kendwa Rocks Beach Hotel Reviews

The hotel is lovely, we stayed in the basic room and enjoyed it as well. The breakfast area was peaceful offering good variety of food. The beach was also beautiful and there are no big tides in there unlike other beaches so we could easily get into the water any time of the day!

It was my third or fourth stay here and it was great as always! The location on the beach is brilliant, the environment very nice.. rooms big and well equipped.. restaurant on the beach also okay, do not expect super quality meal, more average and overpriced, beer quite expensive (sometimes served hot, not cold).. only one dislike, they always charge +3% when you pay the bill by a card (with their overpriced prices they should have this already included in the price). The overall experience is very good and those minor things which I didn't like.. well, I will survive.

The location and hotel facilities are great, awesome beach. Unfortunately I had stomach problems from the food provided at their restaurant, need to pay attention to hygiene. Was also surprised that they don’t provide amenities such as disposable slippers, toothpaste and toothbrush, these are basic things that can literally be offered anywhere, if it’s not in their policy best just to add the 1$ to the reservation price or have it in the stores inside their compound instead of letting visitors wander outside the hotel looking to purchase these goods .

One of the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. However, I didn’t enjoy the breakfast due to the options offered.

Probably, this was a good hotel once, but now it is in dire need of renovation. The economy room has almost no windows, it is not comfortable to be in it at all. The territory is cleaned, but everything is very outdated. The beach is clean, the staff makes sure that each guest likes everything, but the beach boys do not give anyone a break! All day long you just fight them off, you can not rest and relax at all. Moreover, all the Kendwa touts are usually concentrated on the Kendwa Rocks beach. The food in the restaurant is average, in the neighboring hotel Sunset Kendwa there is a restaurant, it is much more pleasant to be there and the food is tastier and cheaper. I will definitely not return to this hotel

Beautiful beach, low cost (I stayed in mid-April), not bad for a 4* hotel room, BUT! The hotel needs to work on the service: 1. They clean the restaurant poorly, crumbs remain on the sofas. 2. The sun loungers need repair, and the mattresses need to be replaced. 3. A difficult situation arose, but none of the staff, including the manager, wanted to pay attention to it until a conflict broke out. They dodged until the last minute and did not want to deal with the problem. 4. The maids are very noisy when cleaning the rooms. There are many rooms in the hotel, so you will listen to them shouting from the rooms (not talking, but shouting to each other) for several hours. 5. Everything in the gym needs to be replaced. 6. Please teach the maids that the place where the duvet cover is fastened is the feet, not the top of the bed. Also, the blanket is crumpled and lying in the closet and it is not clear whether the duvet cover has been changed, since everything is very crumpled.

I liked everything, but there is no light in the buildings in the evening, you can hit yourself, the beach is great, lots of umbrellas and sun loungers, but there are a lot of local sellers on the beach that don't give you a break, it's really annoying, the sea is super. For your money, it's great

This hotel is not recommended! The environment, facilities and services are poor!

The room is quite big and clean, the service is OK, and you can walk directly to the beach. The hotel's meals are delicious, but the wait is a bit long. It takes about 45 minutes to order and eat.

My next trip to this beautiful island 🏝️ Zanzibar 🔥 I want to note right away that my first visit to the island was not so joyful and emotional. I stayed then in the hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar, thanks to which, I did not want to leave the hotel grounds at all, because when I went outside the grounds, I felt completely despondent and I would even say horror.. I also cannot note that during this time the island has changed a lot:- 1. A new airport has been built and opened 2. On the way from the airport to Kendwa beach, you drive along an asphalt road, the roadsides are clean, which could not be said on the first visit, it was dirt, broken roads and very, very 😱😱 In general, the second, third visit to this wonderful island is already a tedious wait in anticipation of the Turquoise water. white sand bright sun) Stop at the hotel Kendwa Rocks .. I really like the piece of this coastline from the Riu Palace Zanzibar hotel to Kendwa Rocks🔥🔥 Wide coastline, equipped with sun loungers and mushroom beaches, you will hardly notice the low tide, but at least it definitely does not prevent you from enjoying the Indian Ocean, there is no seaweed .. someone may be bothered by moored ships and boats, I do not)). HOTEL Zanzibar to Kendwa Rocks the hotel is four stars 🌟 and it gets a solid four for that 🔥🔥🏝️🏝️ The hotel grounds are very well maintained, the rooms are arranged in a cascade, if you go to booking, you will get a full picture of the room stock and it really corresponds to reality .. The beach starts working at 8 am, there are thick mattresses on the sun loungers, which the staff carefully lays out in the morning, you also get a beach towel and enjoy the beautiful weather and get an excellent tan 😀😀 What would I probably attribute to the disadvantages of staying in this room .. if you really want to find fault with something .. my themed room without an ocean view - no mirror in the room, with the exception of a mirror above the sink in the bathroom, there are no sticks if the young lady needs to place her cosmetics.. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a fan, there are toiletries: - shower gel, shampoo, as well as a hair dryer.. hygienic shower.. Oh, that's a whole other story 😀😀 The pressure in the hygienic shower can be compared to the water pressure in a transboat 😀😀 In general, I'm not sure that it can be used for its intended purpose, if you don't want to lose what you had before using the shower))). As for the food, everything is standard, I liked everything.. I won't even describe it)) I'm not picky, but I appreciate it when everything is good I definitely don't expect oysters with champagne)) Breakfast is standard, those who write that it's the same every day are completely beyond comment.. apparently you have a Michelin chef at home and personal service for your apartment and your person)). The hotel has excellent value for money!

The staff needs to be improved: the staff is often rude, the sunbeds on the beach are often dirty, no one comes to put a mattress on the sunbed, the sockets and the waiter call buttons do not work

I really liked the hotel. Amazing location. The best, clean beach. Caring staff. The girl administrator (a smiling Filipina) came up every day at breakfast and asked how we were doing, she was very friendly. Breakfast is good, always changing. The room was clean, the bed was cleaned and changed every day. Everything worked fine. I liked it very much. If you are thinking about which hotel to choose, the choice is obvious! Only Kendwa, only Kendwa ROX!

I really like flowers and trees. The restaurant facilities are good and the food is good. The beach is wide and clean. Leisure programs are also diverse. The sea slope is gentle and the water is clear, making it great for swimming. The swimming pool facilities are also good.

Decent hotel but service could be better. Expensive prices and small portions in the restaurant and the mattress in the bed collapsed completely and was miserable to sleep on. Lovely location in the middle of a beautiful beach where there are also snorkelling opportunities right next to the hotel where there are both corals, fish and starfish.
