Location was perfect. Inside scenic area Next to entrance. Free entry after 5pm. Room was great! Breakfast buffet spread could be better. Not much varieties. Check in process abit slow due to only one worker at reception. Overall great stay! Would def come Back again!

The initial courtyard room was not satisfactory as it was noisy. However, upon feedback, Ms Cai was proactive in quickly moving us to another room that was nice. Reception by the two ladies was friendly. Service by Ms Cai was especially warm. She also helped with my luggage after checkout and accompanied us to our car at Xitang’s gate. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a convenient and accessible location, just slightly away (a short walk) from the main thoroughfare so it was peaceful. We will not hesitate to stay here again :)

The room is nice, location is good. The only issues is not tourists friendly. As there no phone in the room. Hence if u are international tourist may face issues to get the reception and connecting to their wifi is horrible. As said no issues for rooms, location and service staff. Just that not tourists friendly where you bring elderly pax and no phone to connect with ppl in other room and wifi connection also and issues.

Very nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets. Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good. I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones. The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions. The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

This was such a beautiful hotel! Located inside the ancient town (about 1 min walk from the north gate), with stunning grounds and room. We also had a private balcony with a comfortable swing seat! Breakfast was delicious (Chinese style obviously) and all the staff were extremely accommodating. Would highly recommend this place and want to return again!

Beautiful traditional style hotel. Its massive. Room was nice and comfortable, good size and had a big balcony as well. Its In the xitang town so very easy to walk around the ancient town. Highly recommend it.

Best hotel at Xitang scenic area. Modern and beautiful. Better than the photos. Nice breakfast too. Very friendly service staff

The garden hotel has a quiet and comfortable interior environment, suitable for vacation. The service attitude of the lady at the front desk was very good, and the balcony room was upgraded for free. I will choose this hotel again next time.

The hotel is located in Xitang Scenic Area, which is convenient for sightseeing and free of charge. The environment is beautiful and has a strong Jiangnan style. There are landscapes everywhere. The rooms have balconies, which are comfortable and upscale. The handsome guy at the front desk provided warm and thoughtful service. Very satisfied.

This hotel is full of Jiangnan charm, the hotel staff is warm and friendly, and the design is very good. For this reason, I searched for the Light Year Hotel, but unfortunately it seems that there is only a second one in Shangri-La - it is said that it adopts ******* cultural design - I plan to book Light Year next time I go to Shangri-La... Because the scenic spot has a height limit, the hotel is only three stories high, but it is equipped with an elevator, which provides great convenience, especially for guests with limited mobility like us. In addition, the hotel's parking lot is very convenient and very suitable for self-driving.

I brought my parents to visit on Women's Day. This time I chose Light Year Hotel and was very satisfied. The hotel is located in the scenic area, 20 meters right from the north gate vehicle entrance. The hotel has underground parking spaces. Check out and scan the code at the front desk to avoid parking fees. Tickets are free after 17:00. The room is clean and tidy. The front desk lady helped to upgrade the room. The service attitude was friendly and helped to get the room. The room has a balcony and a hanging chair, and the environment is very quiet. It is not far from the hotel to enter the Xitang Scenic Area, which is very convenient. I will choose Light Year again when I come to Xitang next time.
