It was a surprise for this trip! The whole inn and room are very clean, even the wooden floor is clean, the baby likes to run around barefoot, it is not too friendly! The boss is an i person who likes to travel by car. There are few words but there are questions and answers. I will recommend the authentic delicious food in the ancient city. The proprietress is very gentle and attentive. The location of the inn is also very convenient, just at the back door of Zhujia Garden, you can walk to various attractions in the ancient city. If you are afraid of tired, you can also take a battery car for five yuan in the ancient city. Friends who come to Jianshui to play will recommend this one by head!

The guesthouse had a nice environment, all in a solid wood style. It's been open for quite a while, but because of that, the rooms didn't have any unpleasant smells. The owners and their parents were very welcoming. What impressed me most was the owner's father riding his bike to fetch water; the well in Jianshui had plenty of water, and the water was very sweet. We asked the owner for a lot of water to drink! 🤣 The alleyway in front of the guesthouse was very cool to sit in! The triple room was quite spacious, but it was a little warm because it was on the top floor, but there was air conditioning. Everything else was great! 👍

Impossible to find a better place in Jianshui. The rooms are located inside a historic stone and wood building that has been renovated respecting the culture of the place, creating very large rooms, in style, equipped with all possible technological comforts. The owner, Lawrence, speaks perfect English (a very rare thing to find in Jiuanshui), is a highly cultured person and can help you solve any type of problem as well as accompanying you on visits to the surroundings, making you enter the heart of Yunnan. It is the best place I have stayed in Yunnan, without a doubt. In this place I left my heart, respect and affection for Lawrence and all the staff.

I had the most beautiful stay in Jianshui. The hotel was clean, bright and very comfortable. The hospitality was fantastic, which as a solo traveller I was very grateful for. I was given tea and fruit on arrival and the laoban introduced me to all the key spots in Jianshui and sent me recommendations of food spots too. I was given a delicious breakfast with some of the best congee I've had in China! I really felt at home. The location is fantastic, right in the old town on a beautiful side street with a peaceful quaint atmosphere. The hotel also organised a taxi to take me onto my next destination - thank you both for a wonderful stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a stone's throw away from major attractions like Zhu's Garden, the Confucius Temple, the Government Office, and the East Gate scenic area. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and it was wonderfully quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. Service from the staff was outstanding; they even arranged a car to take us to the train station upon our departure. The breakfast was generous. The hotel's charming, traditional quadrangle courtyard was a delight: sitting on a chair, sipping tea, admiring the blooming flowers on the walls, listening to the gentle murmur of water, and relishing the rare summer coolness – it was pure bliss. Absolutely loved it! I'll definitely be back in winter.

After contacting the boss, we parked in a large parking lot. After parking the car, we saw a man with flowery arms smiling by the wall. After greeting him, he enthusiastically led him into the yard. Before entering the room, the boss invites you to sit down and drink a few cups of Kung Fu tea. This scene appeared frequently in the following days. Everyone really loves tea. The first thing the boss asked was why we came to Jianshui. In fact, my wife and I had watched ”Daily Life of Literature” and were attracted by Jianshui's quietness and peace in the episode where we met Teacher Yu Jian. The boss also knew a little about Teacher Jian. They should all be people who like literature. This B&B was renovated from the old mansion of the government office more than 400 years ago. It is the third entrance of the three-entry courtyard. The place is not big, but it is very charming. The room we stayed in at night has been fully modernized and improved, and some are available downstairs. When you open the window in the laundry and drying room, you can see the old tower of Yuhuang Pavilion and take a closer look. Life During the two days he lived in the hospital, my son spent most of the time downstairs chatting and having fun with his boss, his wife, his brother, his brother-in-law, his sister-in-law, his father-in-law and mother-in-law. Generally, you can feel as comfortable here as if you were at home It’s a pity that the B&B does not provide dinner every morning. There is special grass sprout rice noodles every morning, and here you can sleep until you wake up naturally. Even if you wake up at 11 o’clock, you can still eat a bowl of freshly made delicious rice noodles. I remember that I have to hold on after 8 o’clock. How can I feel sorry for the steamed buns and hard-boiled eggs that I eat when I wake up? The first meal we had when we arrived was the Xiaobo BBQ recommended by the B&B. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the B&B. In fact, it is not far from various places in the city. You can rest assured and take your time. We sat down to have a barbecue and waited for about 1 and a half hours before leaving. If you order it, you may have to wait 2 hours, but the moment the barbecue comes into your mouth, I think it is worth the wait and the price is very reasonable. I think it is really good. I didn’t want to eat barbecue the next day. I passed by the vegetable market and saw some wild mushrooms. I wanted to buy some mushrooms and go to the B&B to cook for myself. My cooking skills are also good, but I was afraid that not handling the mushrooms well would affect the rest of the trip. So I decided to go to the local area, which is also famous. The guests who had packed up at the restaurant and went out for fun had not yet returned to their rooms, leaving us alone as a family. We sat under the pomegranate tree, drank wine, admired the moon, and had a delicious meal like the ancients. During this period, the pomegranates on our heads ripened and fell. It was a rare experience. one

Jianshui Ancient City - This inn is the most pleasant surprise on the journey. The antique architectural style complements the elegant decoration. The room is warmly furnished, the staff service is super intimate, recommended to friends who come to Jianshui!

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The environment was great, both from the staff and the guests. Really made me, the only foreigner, feel comfortable among them. Also very close to the best value noodles place I have yet found in SE Asia, and to the Ancient Town, and provided a good value bike rental (very solid bike). Riding it along the ancient train itinerary was her highlight of my Jianshui visit. Highly recommend 👌
