A beautiful hotel, well designed and well placed to get to the main places to visit in Casablanca. The staff on reception and the concierge were delightful, smiley and cheerful always- we really appreciated it.
The dining area staff we encountered were not as cheery or helpful. The breakfast was mediocre, a meagre selection and not appealing. We didn’t like the fact that we had to wait to be served drinks in the morning, hot water, tea and coffee should be on tap for multiple visits during breakfast. The person behind the drinks bar was slow to take and make the orders and not particularly helpful- some cafetières or tea and coffee dispensers would remedy this. The room itself had a few cosmetic imperfections and could do with a deep clean, including the walls. We were surprised to see a lack of bidet showers in the bathroom, which was inconvenient and not in keeping with the culture we were expecting.
Finally, the water went off a couple of times and the lifts were not in working on one occasion, both were rectified fairly quickly, but it was an inconvenience as we were not able to complete our morning ablutions.

Guest UserStaying at Riad Old City Palace was pure magic – a hidden oasis in Fez’s bustling medina that felt like stepping into a warm Moroccan dream. The atmosphere is enchanting: intricate zellige tiles, cozy lounges with plush cushions, and a serene riad courtyard that whispers tranquility amid the city’s chaos. It’s the kind of place where every corner invites you to relax and soak in the authentic charm.
The staff? Outstanding! From the moment we arrived, they were like family – incredibly friendly, always available with smiles and genuine care. Whenever we had doubts about anything (taxis, markets, hidden spots), they were there, patiently answering questions, always picking up the phone promptly, and even guiding us with precise directions to local gems. They made our trip seamless and stress-free.
Food highlights were next-level. The late-night teas were a lifesaver after long days exploring – aromatic mint tea served with warmth and perfect sweetness under the stars. Dinners were flavorful feasts of tagines, couscous, and fresh salads that burst with local spices. Breakfast? A lavish spread of fluffy pancakes, fresh fruits, cheeses, and endless Moroccan pastries – we never wanted to leave the table!
This riad is simply a nice place run by the best team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts – we strongly recommend it to everyone visiting Fez. We’ll be back!

wyg213The hotel isn't far from the city center, just a few hundred meters from Mohammed V Square, and the French Consulate is also nearby. It has a Chinese-style hotel design, and the rooms come with small balconies. Breakfast is Chinese-style. Overall, it's very convenient for getting around! There's also a bubble tea shop next to the hotel run by Chinese owners, and they are super friendly! ❤️🔥

Guest UserI stayed for 1 night, June 16-17. The service was very good as well as the facilities. The next day after checking out I checked and found that my t-shirt was left behind, then I went back to ask about it, but they said they couldn't find it. I'm sure my t-shirt was left there. How can a hotel as good as this have something left behind and not stored first? Even didn’t care about asking me my contact information so if thy ask the staff and found it thy will contact me!! Thy are not doing that

Overall, I'm very satisfied. The price was reasonable, and the facilities were modern. I'd definitely choose this place again if I come back. The location is excellent, right on the Atlantic Ocean, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a beautiful, expansive view. The room looked exactly like the pictures, no differences at all. Regarding facilities, the kitchen cabinet doors were a bit stiff to open and close, but it didn't affect their use. Other kitchen amenities were quite comprehensive, which was a huge help for our family trip and cooking during Ramadan. Initially, I wasn't sure how to use the induction cooktop, but the gentleman at the entrance was very kind and came to help, even though we had a language barrier, we managed to sort it out. Plus, there was a foldable drying rack in the wardrobe, which was very practical and convenient. Finally, they provided a parking spot right outside, on the roadside. Although it wasn't marked, the person in the reflective vest didn't charge us once they saw us parked there.

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the train station, tram stop, shopping center, and the embankment. The breakfast is varied and delicious. The room is small, but everything is very well thought out. The comfortable bed, down comforters, and pillows are perfect for rest after long walks. A few areas could use some cosmetic renovations, and the place could be cleaner, but overall, this didn't affect the quality of our stay. We liked the hotel.

I stayed at Barceló in a king-bed room. Overall, everything was good, and the room was well equipped with most of the amenities you need. The only missing items were toothbrushes and slippers.
However, there wasn’t much variety at breakfast—very limited choices. For a hotel rated five stars on Booking and TripAdvisor, I expected a much better breakfast. Instead, it felt more like a one-star hotel breakfast.
Otherwise, the room quality was very good.
