Casablanca Hotels with Bars

The hotel is great: everything is new, looks fresh and fancy. Breakfast was plentiful, with great choice. Location is nice - not in the very center, but close to everything needed. The only flaw of the hotel - they have loud parties every evening. It is impossible to avoid this noise and loud music - from 7pm to 11pm everyday, no matter if you close the windows - you will be unable to relax. Maybe rooms that look at the street are better, but not sure.

I booked a twin room with a city view, and when I checked in, I asked the front desk for a room with a better view. To my delight, I was upgraded to a sea view room! From the room, I could see the Hassan II Mosque and the ocean, which was a fantastic view. However, there were some issues with the facilities. The shower drain was severely clogged, and there was only one bathrobe in a double room, and only one mouthwash cup in the bathroom. Since I was only staying for one night, I didn't bother to complain. It felt like the hotel's hygiene and service weren't up to standard. I hope my review helps them improve their service quality.

Good hotel in terms of location, delicious breakfasts, and spacious rooms with daily housekeeping. Downsides: 1. Annoying bellboy who doesn't take no for an answer. After being asked to leave us alone, he continued to offer unnecessary services. 2. Also, by some strange coincidence, immediately after check-in, we were disturbed in our room twice. Someone knocked separately to bring water and tea/coffee sachets, and then a few minutes later, the kettle was brought separately. I don't understand why they couldn't bring everything at once (check-in was in the evening, much later than 3 PM). 3. There were no mugs in the room (perhaps they were supposed to be brought when they addressed downside #2, but after the second visit, we put up the 'do not disturb' sign). 4. The shower gel was as thin as water; it was impossible to use. Otherwise, it was good.

This was my first time flying Royal Air Maroc, and I had an overnight layover in Casablanca. Based on reviews, I chose this hotel because it mentioned train access to the city center. Even though navigation didn't show the route, I found the train station a short walk to the left after exiting arrivals. I bought a ticket to Casa Port from the vending machine for 60 local currency. The last train was supposed to be at 9:55 PM, with one transfer. However, the train didn't show up by 10:20 PM. Staff arranged for us to take a bus to the transfer station. From there, it would have been over an hour's walk back to the hotel, so we waited another 40 minutes on the bus before it finally took us to Casa Port. It was then a 30-minute walk back to the hotel. I wouldn't recommend walking that far at night, especially alone or for women, as I felt the area might not be very safe. So, I opted for an Uber to the airport the next day, which cost 330 local currency, avoiding any haggling with taxis. The hotel itself was nice, and breakfast was good. The next morning, I walked to see the Hassan II Mosque and some nearby attractions. I think more information about transportation options would be helpful.

We booked a Silver studio, and it was spacious enough for three of us. The kitchenette was handy, especially for heating milk in the microwave. The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive (milk, cereal, baguettes, cakes, whole-wheat bread, pastries, fruit, scrambled eggs...). Freshly squeezed orange juice had to be requested from a waiter. I particularly appreciated the vegetable salad and the two types of soup, which were perfect for a Chinese palate. There were also three Moroccan flatbreads (staple food) that I noticed being sold on the streets, so perhaps that's what locals typically eat for breakfast – I found them just okay. The cleaning lady tidied up daily, and during our 5-night stay, she 'automatically' changed the sheets and pillowcases on the third day. On the lobby level, walking towards the gym, there are many spaces available, including small meeting rooms, which I suspect most guests don't know about. I used the gym a few times and had it all to myself each time. Another lesser-known fact is that bus line L005 stops right outside the hotel and goes directly to various attractions/beaches along Miami Avenue, for example, for 5 MAD (it's best to have exact change for tickets), you can reach Aïn Diab beach, which is beautiful 👍. A few things that could be improved: the bathroom facilities looked a bit old, and the shower door had a minor issue and didn't close properly.

My Moroccon friend I studied my phd with in Ireland (my nationality) drove me from Cas airport to the hotel & helped me with my bags to my room & ordered me a bottle of wine from the bar (about the same price as the deluxe room), saying welcome to my beautiful country! The bar staff took the wine off my friend, a GP, and said ”I know this is how you earn your bread and you will be paid but we don't accept this here”. I.e. The receptionist accused my friend of being a **********. The bar man was disgusted by the comment. Having paid, I didn't stay at the hotel and checked out the next day. The receptionist should say... We don't accept non-customers going to customers rooms, not accuse another Moroccon woman of being a ****** (my conservative Muslim friend was mortified)

Excellent hotel, clean. The soundproofing isn't perfect, but it wasn't noisy and didn't disturb our rest. The room was cleaned daily. The room is spacious, with a comfortable mattress and pillows. We did see small ants on the table near the kettle. The bathroom is convenient and clean. For the price, it's acceptable. It's a convenient 15-minute walk to the train station. The breakfasts are decent, and they have desserts, but they are a bit repetitive.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's close to the train station and the promenade. Hassan II Mosque is about a 25-30 minute walk away. The breakfasts are good, and the bathroom and toilet are separate. On the downside, there's ongoing renovation at the reception, which makes it inconvenient to walk with luggage, and there's no waiting area before/after check-in. Also, there's a limited number of power outlets in the room.

I was charged twice. I had already paid online via Trip.com, but the front desk couldn't find my payment in their system and demanded cash upon checkout. It's been over a week, and they still haven't processed my refund, even though I've sent photos of the payment receipt five times through the Trip.com chat and via email. My impression of the hotel is completely ruined.

The location is excellent for touring the city. The breakfast was okay , not many choices but served by staff who were attentive to details. The staff was great. They stopped to talk to us and ask if we needed anything especially one of the cleaning ladies and the supervisor. The women at the front desk and the man at the door were very helpful. The rooms were clean but too dark. The hallways were also dark.  It was a good place to stay
