"The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so getting around isn't super convenient. Luckily, I booked several activities that offered hotel pickup and drop-off, so I didn't have to worry about transportation. On my last day, the bus to Memanbetsu Airport had its first stop right across the street from the hotel, which was very handy.
There are several indoor hot spring pools and one outdoor open-air one.
The hotel has its own shop, which offers duty-free shopping and a great selection of food.
Oh, and the breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely delicious!!"

"The space is very large. It is more than enough to live in a family. Plus the kitchen can cook by yourself. It is quite cost-effective for this price.
I lived quite satisfied two years ago and came back again. There are some changes. The kitchen no longer provides simple seasonings. You need to bring your own."

"The hotel's location is excellent, offering views of the Sea of Okhotsk's drift ice from both the rooms and the lobby lounge. The lounge is a great perk for a relaxing vacation, providing complimentary snacks and drinks from noon until 11 PM. Dinner was a bit underwhelming, and the menu repeated frequently during my two-day stay. After a hot spring bath, free milk is available, and guests can also pick up a complimentary ice cream from the bakery at the entrance each day of their stay."

"Overall nice hotel with good Onsen. Sunset room had a good view of the ocean and the sunset.
Lounge with drinks and snack is great. Breakfast for westerners a disaster as it caters to a mostly Japanese people with raw fish and veggies and is only available until 8.30am last entry. Ridiculous!"

"The hotel is located a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Although it’s a hostel, the room is spacious and includes a safe and a refrigerator. The bedding is clean. There’s no shower in the room, as this is an onsen-style hotel. There’s no kettle in the room either — a shared one is available on the first floor in a small kitchen equipped with a stove and a microwave.
The only downside is the absence of a water cooler or filter for drinking water. You have to buy bottled water from a vending machine and pour it into the shared kettle. The view from the window is stunning. The air conditioner is AI-powered — it even talks 😁"

"Hotels in Shiretoko are quite expensive, especially in the peak season in winter, so I chose this one on the mountain. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the 711 supermarket at the foot of the mountain, and it also takes 20 minutes to walk to the nearest restaurant. There is nothing nearby. Fortunately, the hotel has free shuttle to the BUS station (you need to call), and I drove a domestic 1 million alpha to pick me up, and the ride experience was not bad. The next day I went to Shiretoko for hiking, and they could also pick me up directly at the hotel, which was pretty good.
I booked a Japanese tatami room, which happened to be on the second floor of the new building, facing the yard. The room was very comfortable and spacious. There are public washing machines, tea machines, and ice machines--I love them. The hot spring is also good, not crowded, and larger than the hotel in Abashiri.
The breakfast is a set meal, which is okay, and you need to book a time in advance. I don’t know if it’s because of the peak season of the Spring Festival, but the two front desks are Chinese and easy to communicate."

"Perfect location. It was a 5-min walk from the bus station and less than 10 min from Roadside rest area. Room was spacious and it faced to the sea. Enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the balcony . Delicious breakfast and dinner. Food of western and Japanese style was provided. Dining area was big.
Unfortunately, the staff didn't speak English. Need to spend sometime to communicate and they tried their best to give help anyway. Better to use the Google translate in this case. Check-in time was 15;00. There is no receptionist before that. For guests arrived before 15:00 can leave luggage in the hotel but guests had to bear the responsibility."

"For a B&B hotel, there are restrictions on check-in and front desk coffee hours, the hot spring pool is relatively small, dinner and breakfast are Japanese style, the products are relatively ordinary, and the sashimi is not fresh enough. You can pick up at the hotel for ice rafting and five lakes hiking."
