Kamikawa Hotels with Wifi

We reserved a room for a night. Here is our review. The Location This hotel is resided in Sounkyo area. It’s not far from Kurodake Ropeway and the town centre. It is perfect place if you want to loam around Sounkyo. The Room The Japanese style room is large but we found a large stain on the ceiling. It seems like there was a leak from the room in the above floor. The bath room (toilet) is very small but it’s fine for us. The Service I think they are not welcome Thai guests. My girlfriend’s mom is disable. She can’t walk longer than 10 steps before failing down. So, my girl’s dad wants to temporary park at drop off area to assist her to the lobby area and drop our luggages. However, the hotel staff banish us. He told us to go to park at parking area and let us walk on the slipping floor to the front with our luggages by ourselves because he had to services the Japanese group and the bus will park at the drop off soon. The reception staff also not told us anything about private onsen, but I can read Japanese so I knew that they have the service. Even though we want to reserve private onsen but they are not let us use until 10 pm. This is not because they have full booked, but it because they don’t want to talk with us. Our Japanese friend can reserved the service early than 2 pm although they made a reservation late than us. It is so unfair, so we dropped it. On the good side, the dinner and breakfast were the best part of their service. The Amenities They provide all necessary amenities including shirt and pant for the guest. Although, we have to bring it from the lobby by ourselves.

Large hotel room, clean and tidy but a bit old. Air con was not functioning much so need a fan. No special view from hotel room, was facing mountain / car park side. Limitrd car park space at hotel, but they could arrnage shuttle bus connecting a public parking area. Busy hotel restaurant, which means long queue for food. Hotel staff are nice and can speak english. Mixed onsen, but the floor of onsen was not even, difficult to walk through.

There is a large stove in the hotel lobby with a warm atmosphere. The lobby decoration is full of modernity. It is completely different from the traditional Japanese-style rooms in the hotel. However, the rooms are relatively old and the hygiene is OK. Yukata is also provided for guests. You might as well try the 5th floor when staying. The open-air bath faces the woods and has a high degree of privacy. Dinner is a buffet with not many types of food, but all-you-can-eat roasted crab legs are provided. The location is close to Galaxy Falls and Ryusei, which can be reached in 45 minutes by walk. In the other direction, Sounkyo Cable Car Station can be reached in 15 minutes by walk.

Overall the stay was enjoyable, comfortable and lovely The hotel provides shuttle service to Sounkyo Hot Spring Ice Fall Festival and Asahikawa station, which is helpful The food (buffet) was alright, with different varieties of choices The only thing is that the staff are not very responsive to requests made via email

The hotel facilities are great. I was a little worried after reading the reviews saying it was old, but it didn't feel old at all. There are foreign workers among the waiters, which is very convenient for communicating in Chinese and English among Hokkaido hotels. The buffet dinner is very good and it is very close to the Kurodake Cable Car.

The hotel has only one advantage near the station, but it is not easy to pull a luggage to the station in heavy snow. The hotel does not provide pick-up and drop-off. It seems that there is no vehicle to send guests outside the snow and the whole snow recently. The hotel is cheap so the Wendian is very simple. One night of dinner was a buffet with more fruit oranges. I ate about four or so. Because I cut so few pieces, the waiter immediately black noodles. I told me not to take it in Japanese. In fact, the food was wasteless. The restaurant would not do this. In fact, I observed a lot of travel and stayed in a nearby hotel. Because it was a holiday, I stayed in Zhongfu first, this hotel is really bad in Laiyunxia.

The location is very good, just opposite the visitor center and the Blackey Ropeway. It is best for climbing. It takes 3 minutes to drive to Hongye Valley and drive to the popular waterfall and Galaxy Waterfall for about 5 minutes. It is very convenient. Morning and evening meals are good, especially at night, the buffet is very good, Japanese sake shochu whisky has, you can also make cocktails. The hot spring is small but of good quality. It is known as the only natural hot spring in Sounkyo. It’s okay to bring a child, three mattresses and four people sleep enough. The overall catch is that the entire layer of Yunyun Gorge (not only this 🏨) style is more old-fashioned, mainly for middle-aged tourists and hikers, feeling more dull. The restaurant waiter also has a nepal brother who has good English and a good service attitude.
