Hotel location is convenient and close to the day tour meet-up point and town centre shops, restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are newly renovated in classic blue and hotel front desk staff are very helpful. It’s value for money.

A very beautiful hotel which needs a bit of uphill walk for about 15 mins from the town centre. There're no shops restaurants in the neighbourhood but one can eat at its restaurant or room service. The room itself is very spacious, clean, well equipped and our room overlooks the lake which is great. The pickup point for Milford Sound tour we joined is along the street in front of the hotel (Stanley Street).
I tried the buffet breakfast which is so so with limited choices.
Overall I love this hotel especially the price is great compared with other hotels at the very central location.

Super! Satisfied! (Except a bit expensive)
The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic, and the other employees were also very enthusiastic and provided timely service.
The room was very clean and big, and the milk was refillable, but unfortunately I bought some and didn't drink much.
The main thing is that the view is so good!!! I usually don't use a bathtub, but I can't help but look at the scenery outside while enjoying the spa in the bathtub...
I also saw the Milky Way and the Aurora on the balcony at night, which I missed a little!
It's perfect!
If possible, I must stay a few more days next time.

The room is not soundproofed, and you can hear the conversations next door. Also, the bathroom facilities are old and the shower head cannot be removed. The carpet near the bedside table smells a bit weird, with a faint sour smell. It may be that something was knocked over before, and the carpet cannot be thoroughly cleaned. Everything else is OK, the service is very good! The large balcony is very chill and the ventilation feels great. The surrounding area is very convenient, there is food to eat when you go out, and the hotel also has its own restaurant, the environment is very beautiful.

The room is as clean and user-friendly as always. Holiday Inn abroad is really the first choice for cost-effectiveness. There is a parking space. It is very good to stay for one night. It is also convenient to buy burgers and so on in the city. The view is not much. It is mainly for staying. If you want a view, you still have to go to the Lake View Hotel. Hahahaha, recommended

Pros: the hotel room was really clean and spacious
Location was good, really near the main shops area
Cons: the hotel informed there was no parking available as their carpark was full and it was first come first serve. So guests are expected to circle the hotel vicinity for a lot when they arrive? Especially when it’s stated that parking is available onsite.
Front desk staff was really rude with an attitude. She suggested street parking but I told her I wasn’t comfortable with parallel parking and she just got really rude with a take it or leave it attitude. We booked two rooms but she only gave one room’s card and I had to remind her for the other room’s card.
Anyways. The hotel is a maze where we had to take lift to a different level, walk to a different building and take another lift to get to the room. Abit creepy for solo travellers.
Overall; the rooms are well maintained but beware of the lack of parking + rude staff

I recently stayed at this hotel for a short trip and was looking for a room with a lake view, easy access to the airport, and proximity to town. It met my basic expectations.
Pros:
- Clean and well-maintained room.
- Room size is comfortable for two adults.
- 24-hour reception is very convenient.
- Bus stops (Bus 1) are right in front of the hotel.
- The balcony with chairs and a table offers a serene view of the river.
- Buffet breakfast starts early at 6:30 AM, which is great for me as my coach to Lake Tekapo was at 8am.
- Room comes with all necessities, plus a microwave, which was a huge bonus for me.
Cons:
- Booked a lake-view room, but the view was partially blocked by bushes/trees as the room was on Level 2.
Located next to a busy main road, and passerby visibility made it feel less private.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends for its convenience and comfort.

Definitely! Book a lake view room! The pictures were taken in the room and balcony.
Don't expect too much from the room facilities, it's just the level of domestic homestays, but the scenery is really beautiful! The front desk staff is very friendly. We are a family of three, and they also took the initiative to provide sofa bed extra bed service (Figure 1) There is no free mineral water, you can ask the front desk for free tap water, boiled water can also be used to make tea, no odor. The hair dryer is Dyson 🤩 It's a 5-8 minute walk from the town center, but there is a big slope, which is a bit unfriendly to the elderly and people with poor legs and feet, and it will be a bit tiring. It is not recommended to drive by yourself, because parking in Queenstown is really too difficult (◍•﹏•)

As preinformed, parking is limited, but overnight parking is free, thats a plus. The room is decent, need to vacuum the carpeted floors daily though. Service is great, check in staff were friendly, they even gavw us Novotel stuffed toys (a kiwi and a sheep) for my 2 kids. Lovely touch. Would stay again.

LLiaozhongdifanniA very satisfying stay experience! The host was very nice and entertained us warmly. He talked about local customs and travel recommendations, and even took us to visit his fruit and vegetable garden, just like we were guests at a friend's house♥️ The house was clean and tidy, with complete supplies and a well-kept small garden, where we could sit Looking at the beautiful scenery on the other side from the balcony, it is comfortable and comfortable💐 Five-star recommendation🌟
GGuest UserThere was road construction near the hotel and no signs. I walked for a long time and finally got in through the ice cream bucket. The quilt didn't have a quilt cover. It was sandwiched between two large sheets, which was very easy to get messy. The pillow was very uncomfortable and I got a stiff neck on the second day. I called to change the latex pillow on the second night, but it was still uncomfortable because it was too high. I had to make do with it. The faucet in the bathroom was difficult to control. If you are not careful, the water will flow too much and splash all over the countertop. The shower was also difficult to adjust. I was given a bottle of water and sparkling water on the first night, but I was given sparkling water for the next two nights. It's not possible to drink sparkling water all the time in such a cold day! The hotel's parking fee was NZD 50 per night. We found a free one for one night, which was quite close to the hotel. I have stayed in several hotels in Queenstown twice, and Sofitel is the worst hotel for me.
GGuest UserThe hotel is super conveniently located walking distance to the heart of town, but is also private and serene. The Juliet balconies in every room are charming. Breakfast is good and there are sofas and sitting areas inside and outside where you can read or watch the stars. If you miss out on one of the four parking spots, the pay lot is only a few steps away and it’s free overnight. Also, the hotel is right next to the gondola, which was convenient. We had a great time here.
CChunLanBath tap is too old needs to turn very hard to close it;
Breakfast is normal not much fruits at all,
gym is way too small and old,
After 9pm can not find the car park
ski equipment cannot bring to the inside of hotel, and ski storage room saying its all your own liability if lost or damage; doesn't feel like to put the ski equipment into the the storage.
XXiaowula1022Although the room facilities are not very new, it is very warm overall. The lady at the front desk is also very nice. However, there was road construction in Queenstown the night we checked in, so we hardly slept. But this is not the hotel's fault. The price/performance ratio is still high. The lady at the front desk also apologized. It is indeed very noisy, so everyone should pay attention to this.
GGuest UserWe was told there would be parking space for us. When we return after dinner we found the specific parking space were full and actually there were very limited parking lot(7-8 cars) for so many rooms. The reception told us it was first come first serve and suggested us to park at the neighbourhood but not at other free spaces inside the hotel area. Thats quite not friendly to be honest.
AAnonymous UserA return trip to the hotel. Great location, amazing views and good room size. Only thing is there are no complimentary late checkouts and upgrades like they used to do before.
AAnonymous UserA convenient location outside Queenstown, less than 15 minutes drive. Also easy to go to Arrowtown for a half day. We'll-planned bathroom layout with hooks and rails around for bathtowels, clothings.
GGuest UserPounamu apartments super suites are the upstairs units with a small balcony. The view over the lake and the mountains was really nice, especially after a snowfall overnight. Inside the unit, the kitchen was very functional with oven, cooktop and microwave. Air conditioning and fake fireplace kept the unit to a reasonable heat at the start of winter but this may be an issue in the middle of winter. The shower had great water pressure and great hot water. It too about 15 minutes to walk into the city centre but the walk back along the lake requires a walk up a hill which was a little taxing so the main road is a better way back. Short drive to New World and Woolworths in Frankton.
GGuest UserGoing out from the side door is the downtown area of Queenstown, which is very convenient. And the location is at the entrance to Queenstown, so you don't have to go through the urban traffic jam to go to the airport or Arrow town. There is nothing to say about the location.
The disadvantage is that there are kitchen and tableware but no pepper, salt and salad oil. I asked the counter and the reply was to go to the supermarket to buy it by myself. Also the oven in the room was malfunctioning and couldn't be used.
The service attitude is good. It was very hot on the day we arrived, but the hotels and apartments in Queenstown have no air-conditioning, only electric fans (super noisy), and there is only one, so I asked by phone to borrow another fan, and I was very polite. Look inside the counter (the counter is closed).
Considering the overall location and cp value is very good, but it would be better if the equipment can be strengthened.
