This is definitely the best hotel with top service in Auckland. We were on a group tour and stayed in several hotels all over the country, Horizon stood out as the most accommodating, comfortable, and friendly. It's just a few minutes walk from Weta, the neighborhood is clean, modern and convenient, surrounded by convenient stores and restaurants. I carelessly left my spare phone in a hotel in Wellington, and I am super grateful that the Concierge at Horizon went out of their way to help get it back... (it was a slightly complicated situation as I left New Zealand before the phone reached Horizon).

OK, it's a great hotel, excellent rooms, supplies, service, nothing wrong there. I only have two complaints, and it starts with their breakfast lounge Advieh. Excellent food, indeed beautiful, but it does not require loud music. People are there for breakfast, not for loud music, which is obviously only for the staff, not for customers. Make it more welcoming please. And the other problem is the access if you're driving. There is valet parking, but the area is very inconspicuous and it will be invariably occupied by taxis, often in two or three rows. The unadvised driver will not be able to stop, or drive in, unless you want to stop all traffic behind you as you wait for the taxis to move out. So do not try to turn left and drive around again, as traffic directions will take you all over the North Island before you make it back to the hotel. Just carry on on the same street for another block and you will drive around this massive car park, overnight cheaper than the hotel valet ($40, as opposed to $80 at the hotel) and you can comfortably walk to the hotel directly through a covered pedestrian walkway above the street. But if you do want to use the valet service at the hotel front, do stop by the taxis, honk like crazy and they will slowly move away to allow your car through - remember, that is your spot, not theirs. But I honestly advise anyone to use Uber to get to this hotel, and not drive in.

Clean and new hotel. However, the pillows were too soft/flat and not enough hangers provided. Location was great! Except that it’s on a slope, so there’s climbing up and down when u wana go out and get back. There’s road works going on just outside. Breakfast spread was ok. Overall a comfortable stay.

Perfect Parnell Hotel Had one night here with the family and it was just perfect. The hotel was well maintained, clean, user friendly, comfortable, attractive and nice to be in. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a separate bedroom with two large beds in it. Very comfortable and fresh. The lounge was a good size. It had a mini sofa, some arm chairs, a round table and a little balcony looking out at the city and harbour. There was a bit of helicopter noise at night due to the proximity of the hospital. The hotel as in a nice location, just a short walk to the Rose Gardens and a set of shops that had a veggie shop, chemist, corner store, sushi shop and a café.

Stayed 3 nights in the Junior Suite. I found that the hotel's toiletries are Hermes's, which is different from the water view room I stayed last time. The suite has too many windows, and the sun shades have to be pulled up or down, which is too much work. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast one day also chose the cafe next to the hotel, simple, clean and fast.

I recently stayed here again before a yacht race the next day and also Thursday before Coastal Classic . Everytime we have visited we have been greeted with smiles and a can do attitude . One example is we needed a early breakfast before the annual coastal classic race and asked if we could order breakfast for 6:30am instead of 7 . The staff said no problem we can organise it with the kitchen . We arrived in the restaurant at 6:30am and our meals were sitting under the hot lights freshly cooked and hot ready to go . What great service ! I also like the ease of parking ( getting there is a little challenging due to road works at the moment and there is plenty of room to park before heading to reception . I recommend this place for great service , good food , a room with a view if required , clean modern rooms and a nice breakfasts .

At that time, I chose a room with city view, so I was arranged in the first room out of the elevator. The sound of the elevator entrance and the sound of people talking in the corridor outside were very clear and noisy. Secondly, because the location of the room is facing the intersection of 2 streets, plus the high excitement of the bar at night, it can be heard clearly in the room. A large part of the reason should be that the window glass of the hotel is very poor, and the overall sound insulation is also very poor. Therefore, that night was not forced to fall asleep until 5 am, the whole person was exhausted, and the heart beat with the music outside. After waking up the next day, I was very, very angry and called the front desk to ask for a quiet room. The front desk service of the hotel was very good, saying that it was very understanding, and it was quickly replaced with a room on a quiet street. But the room has no view at all, and the window looks out to the broken building. Secondly, the sound on the aisle is still clear. Fortunately, I stayed for 2 nights. I really remembered this stay experience every time. It was really too broken.

This is an excellent place to stay if you're transiting through Auckland airport. Being an exceptionally easy, 2 minute walk from the international terminal means that you're not having to juggle shuttle buses and whatnot. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the rooms have everything you could need for an overnight stay. The whole place feels fresh and new. Highly recommend.

MMaryanne BedggoodAwesome stay, We stayed there 2 nights 2 adults and 2 children stayed there, The place was clean smelled nice. Awesome furnishings. There were other quest in the place but you would not know. The stay is a different set up where the place was like homestay in bulit up area other homes around. The streets and homes are clean tidy and quiet. We shared lovely kitchen and if you are upstairs we had out own little area to make coffee and tea and a lounge to relax. We planned activities in Auckland for our time there, and it was nice get back to a comfortable room and home. I would recommend the stay to others and would stay again Thankyou. Our children loved the place.
I gave 3 for location it is in built up area and 3 for service, we saw no one during out time there had to ring for help. but the line was busy. Still ok place to stay.

GGuest UserReminded by their ! I stayed here in February 2020 ( a while back but stick with me). I was there with a work thing so a busy day. I got back to the hotel at about 7pm, had a bath and when I went to let the water out of the bath the water didn't drain. Next thing the plughole in the middle of the bathroom started flooding the room with 'dirty' water. It smelt awful if you know what I mean. I put all the towels on the ground to stop it from getting into my room. I rang reception to say what was happening and that I could not stay in the room. I have to say the night manager was very helpful throughout but, it was 9pm at this point, and having to pack up after working all day and flying up from Christchurch that morning, made for a pretty uncomfortable stay. Even the new room was missing lots of items (tissues, shower gel, tea bags, etc). Please note, I am only posting this now because the cold call from a pretty insistent and overzealous Accor sales representative, reminded me to check when I stayed here. At the time I even said in the feedback email to Novotel ElIerslie that I wouldn't post to Tripadvisor. But then in checking this out, I see that they never even responded to me about what happened or what they were doing so others didn't experience what I did. Overall a disappointing experience.

GGuest UserThe staff in office were so friendly and helpful. Just ask nicely and they are happy to help where they can. I recently stayed 15 nights but initially could not get all nights confirmed due to some full dates. Upon arrival, I explained my desire and through a but of luck (due cancellations) and helpful staff, I was able to secure rooms for my whole stay. I needed to change rooms from a 2 bedroom to a studio and the managed to give me room on same floor (actually next door) making my move from 1st room to 2nd room very easy and convenient. The room cleaners are like a SWAT team - so impressed with there speed and efficiency. It seems nothing is too much of a problem from extra coffee or cleaning supplies, to fresh towels. Thanks for making my staff as smooth as possible. . I was so happy with the smiling service, I even brought a little box of Cadbury favourites for the office staff to share. Kindness returned with kindness. The undercover parking is convenient and cheap. Walking distance to Westfield. Easy cooking facilities with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and all the powders supplied. Just so convenient all round. Just walk in with your suitcase, do a quick supermarket shop and it is like a home away from home :)

WWong Wai ManA fantastic experience of our 7-nights staying in Royal Residency! The apartment is conveniently located in a local suburb, closed to almost all big names supermarkets especially with a few Asian Grocery nearby. Commute to CBD or hot spots via driving is easy! The apartment is quite new and is properly housekeeped and managed. Tanishq was very responsive to all our requests, really appreciated! Just one last point… the oven should have been checked prior to our arrival. We will definitely stay again if we ever have a chance coming back to New Zealand!

GGuest UserStayed at Stamford plaza for 10 days, in hotel isolation. Despite this being a daunting experience, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Room was clean, lovely bathroom, staff always answered calls and were quick to provide help. Thank you so much, will definitely stay upon future visits to Auckland.

The evening meal was terrific beautifully presented as was the breakfast. The beautiful tea sets really made an impact ,also there in the room. The room wasn’t the normal ,sterile room you expect ,it was cosy and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Would love to return soon.

KKERENBecause I registered for the 2-day group and need to gather at the Sky Tower early in the morning, I chose this relatively cost-effective one as a transit. First, the location is really good, and then the staff are also very enthusiastic; second, the room is very small and very small. It’s a 28-inch box or more. I’m not sure if I can lay it out flat. The other is that the hotel is very old and has a sense of age. Finally, if it is only used as a transit and can accept old facilities, you can choose, because 500 yuan a night The price/performance ratio is really high. I ordered 2k for the Crowne Plaza a hundred meters away.
