We took the Karuizawa bus to Kusatsu and walked to the hotel from the bus terminal. After passing Yubata, Google map showed that it took 15 minutes. There were up and down slopes along the way, especially the triple slope next to the hotel. It was very difficult to drag the luggage. There were no taxis and the bus took an hour. class. On the return trip, take the bus back to Tokyo, walk on a relatively flat slope, and pass by Kosenji Shopping Street, which takes about half an hour.
Both dinner and breakfast are buffets, with average taste and plenty of portions and varieties.

The boss speaks fluent English. After chick-in, a bottle of milk will be given, and after chick-out, coffee will be given. Living here will bring back a lot of childhood memories. One disadvantage is that it is a bit far from Yubatake, and the second disadvantage is that the price is a bit expensive. The price we stayed at was 21,419 yen per night!

It was a great hotel, and everything was on spot one of the great places I stayed within, had there a lot of fun and memories, but there were two main problems.
The first one is that I didn't have the option to include breakfast in the order, I ordered dinner once at the restaurant there, and it was amazing, worth the money, and a wonderful experience,
And the other problem is that the location is a bit of a walk uphill, and it has been hard every time when I got downtown and had to climb back over,
btw the zip code was wrong, so I had a rough beginning, and very hard to find the place at the start so travelers,
when you are getting there, search on google maps kane midory and follow that or get a taxi to the location, it should be around 1k yen from the bus station so it should help you a lot with that.
Anyway, the staff was amazing and helped me a lot there, and I would be glad to come back soon and stay there again with the hope that I could include breakfast with my order next time; either way, I had a great time there, and the experience was amazing.

The hotel room is as big as expected, with 2 large rooms and 1 small room. The location is very convenient to Yubata. The front desk guy is very nice. In addition, the hotel's hot spring is very good. It is open from 15:00 to 08:00, so it's OK. Avoid the crowds and go for a dip ~ extremely cost-effective!

1. The room was incredibly spacious, with 4 beds even though we were only a party of 3. The mountain view from the room was fantastic!
2. Overall cleanliness was good.
3. Excellent location near Yubatake, where local shops and dining options are plentiful.
4. The private onsen was amazing, with a convenient button to refill hot water into the tub.
5. Special afternoon and evening times offered free food at the lounges, including ice cream, turnip soup, sausages, noodles, and special amenities like complimentary interdental brushes and facial masks.
6. Hotel staff provided excellent and efficient service.
7. Dinner was a delightful 7-course meal, with each evening featuring a different menu.
8. Breakfast was quite good with a decent variety.
9. The complimentary parking area was spacious with plenty of spots, located right next to the hotel entrance.

We had a fantastic stay at Tokinoniwa. The traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the amenities were so complete that all we needed was a change of clothes! Our room had a private onsen, and we could also reserve a lovely public onsen. The only minor drawback is the distance from the bus terminal, with the last shuttle running at 6pm.
Despite this, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing and authentic onsen experience. We regret not extending. Highly recommended!

AA.AUThe hotel owner was sincere and polite. Although he didn't understand English, he was very attentive and used a translator to explain and communicate with us. The breakfast provided by the hotel is good. It is a traditional Japanese breakfast. It is comfortable to eat in the restaurant with Japanese benches. The location is good, just a minute or two away from Kusatsu Onsen.

It's a long walk to get to our room for my husband and I, who don't have very good knees. There are also a lot of stairs, so it would be nice if there was a barrier-free area. The food is delicious! There are both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, and we were able to relax in the spacious rooms.
