Central Lombok Regency Hotels with Hot Tub

By now you’ve probably looked at reviews and all the stunning online photos—as we did. And you’re probably imagining a lush, beautiful, active lifestyle boutique resort with healthy Ayurvedic food, surf beaches lapping the shore and a yoga studio. This image couldn’t be more wrong. Picture instead a bus stop from the 1960’s on the side of a disused road. This is the feel of the entry restaurant that sits atop a largely arid hillside with none of the lovely plants pictured on the site. There were a couple of palm trees over dying grass, concrete and sand. The photos are so far from the reality that we thought the place was abandoned long ago—and perhaps taken over by squatters who thought they could make a fast buck. We were honestly frightened by what might happen next. While it does indeed seem to be a hotel, the photos and descriptions are so far from reality that we walked around in a stupor trying to sort out the cognitive dissonance. Could it be that the resort that constantly touts itself as a yoga surf resort might have neither yoga nor surf? Not even a real beach? No….couldn’t be. Right? The owner kept asking us what we expected to find and the truth was that the photos were so far from reality that it was hard to even know where to begin. We said we expected a private beach-so he pointed to a fabricated sandy area roughly the side of two kids sandboxes with a metal fence around it. We expected five surf beaches—instead there isn’t any sandy beach at all and the surf spots are accessed by boat for a few. We expected yoga—he assured us there is yoga (though it’s hard to see where he could be hiding it) and other reviewers say the yoga consists of a mat and a spot to practice on your own. We expected plants and trees and a hang out area by the pool. Instead the large pool was empty and the little ones were so full of algae that I wondered whether the “EcoResort” was gathering carbon credits off the green pool growth. It’s a very good thing that we didn’t pay in advance, since we were able to pay only a day’s rate and leave quickly. But the place is so remote that we literally lost five hours of vacation getting there, touring it and getting back to where we started. Not to mention enough money that we could have stayed at a luxury hotel on the island for the amount we tossed away in a rush to leave. The owner was kind enough to offer us tea and let us use his wifi to find another hotel—a kindness we very much appreciated—but our anger grew when we finally settled at a lovely hotel and compared our photos with the ones online. What an utter misrepresentation. We’re uploading the photos here—the one with sand under the shadow of a palm tree and a metal fence—THAT is the beach. We both nearly died laughing when he pointed it out, but the owner was clearly upset and we were just trying to get out without a massive conflict. The staff could not be more helpful, superb service and arranged a fabulius driver for our day trip, booked spa treatments and airport transfers for us. Unfortunate that the facilities let them down, but for some I am sure being so at one with nature might be OK. Too rustic for my tastes. The accommodation has been spruced up after a long COVID closure, but has peeling paint and is tired in places. The shower had hot water 50% of the time but the water struggled to drain in my outdoor shower. The thatched roof looked lovely but my bed was covered in small bits of black at the end of every day and some large insects roamed through the space during my stay. The pool and outdoor area is nice, but not so you would stay poolside for a day. Restaurant is OK, for the reasonable price but is nothing special. Easy walking distance to the wonderful beach and nearby restaurants and bars.

We have loved every second of our stay here and are sad to be leaving in the morning. The staff are so attentive and wonderful (special shout out to Bandi, Zaen, Emil and Febri), the massages are relaxing and the spa staff; Era, Ellie and Rishka are attentive and conscientious in their work. We have been provided excellent recommendations for activities and timings (we missed the busiest times of the days when we visited the secret Gili’s and the waterfalls thanks to timing recommendations from the hotel). The pool area and deck are serene and the rooms are well appointed, sleek and minimal. We even had special visitors (local wild monkeys) by our room and on the deck which we loved. We cannot fault our stay however one thing we would ask the hotel to do is provide name badges for the team. We loved getting to know the staff and we tried our very best to remember everyone’s names but weren’t always successful, name badges would have helped us.

A brilliant design that could effectively be located anywhere, and in this case is a few hundred metres down a dirt road in a village across from the new Moto GP race track about a seven-minute drive from the town centre. The resort consists of entirely self-contained villas -- private little enclaves with their own sunken seating area, dining area and swimming pool. The interior itself is nicely decorated with good materials and workmanship, lots of room for luggage, and a lovely open bathroom with bathtub and rain shower. The staff were first rate, and the resort provides a shuttle service to and from town for the equivalent of $2 each way. That meant it was no inconvenience not to be located right in town, and was well worth it in order to stay at this great place. I'm already thinking about booking here again later in the year.

Loved Sima. Everything was excellent and we had a great time. Spacious rooms and the location is I can't list everything good, but I'll go through the extra things which aren't obvious for future guests to know. - free 10 minute massage per guest was great. - restaurant is tasty and reasonably priced. - room desks have 3 pin UK sockets, 1 per room. Very useful! - on the main road, but rooms are set back, so peaceful. - the pool is lovely and the area round is very pretty and serene. - much more beautiful then the photos. - very friendly reception and helpful on WhatsApp. - again staff were lovely and helpful. All of them, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. To be critical, breakfast bakery items were all impossible to bite with lots of ants, but the eggs and lovely waffles were enough! Also, I did feel disappointed that the restaurant and spa was the same price for public as for guests. Hotel guests should get a discount in the restaurant at least. Overall 5* review with minor areas to improvd From someone who's been to Kuta, Ubud, Lombok, Perth, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Koh Lipe in the past 3 months this was the best hotel we've had in that time!

Location is good facing the beach, there are activities at the beach, ie electric motorcycle Very crowded during my stay due to local bank annual event Wifi is very week in the building, seriously need improvement Breakfast is ok, nothing special. During shower, the hot water is not possible to adjust, the water either too hot or too cold during shower. Won’t come back again due to the wifi & hot water issue

We went to Lombok with my wife and we stayed at Seven Havens Residence. The staff were very friendly. The Manager Mr Wawan was very helpful and kind too. The Heavenly Haven room was huge, clean and beautiful and we got an incredible view from it. The breakfast was so tasty and many choices. We really enjoyed our stay at Seven Havens Residence, on of the best place to stay in Lombok 😎 Can’t hardly wait to come back!

The hotel is a very nice garden, a swimming pool in this luxurious vegetation, comfortable bungalows, well-thinking, a very careful, sympathetic, serviceable staff and a listening boss! 26 euros for this jewel , we think we dream !
