Stayed here for 1 month, on a BnB basis. Had a really good experience. Breakfast, although not exactly an English fry up, it was close enough. With the continental choice it provided more than enough range. Cleaning was efficient and thorough, the room was large and generally quiet, and check in was well organised. The hotel good for us, as it is not near the centre of Benidorm, but close enough, we had scooters, with buses direct to the airport below and a train station a 2mins walk. Superb. Not much noise from roudies, but when it did happen the staff reacted quickly, so only 1 nights problem. The culprit who we heard walking up the road to the hotel, and crashing through the corridors was evicted. Be warned, but good for guests. I would recommend and will return.

The apartments are very good, regular cleaning.
Kitchen equipped with just enough, the truth is we were able to manage. Two 90 beds joined together served as a double bed. We were on the 13th floor and the views were spectacular, what I liked the most was the terrace, with a glass railing. The location is good, Out of the hustle and bustle, but close to everything. On a hill, views of it, the city and the Sea.
You can use the facilities and activities of the hotel around the corner. Heated pool, sauna, gym, entertainment. The receptionists were very friendly and solved a problem with the reservation.
If you come in summer, the apartments have swimming pools downstairs with a solarium area. In general it is very good.
The building reaches the 33rd floor, it can be seen from any point in Benidorm, very high. There are vending machines with water and food.

Myself and wife travelled to the Princesa last week, our checkin was very quick and we were allowed access to our room a few hours early. Immediately the friendliness of the staff was evident they genuinely couldn't do enough for us. The food was off a high standard with excellent vegetarian options everything served was very hot. The entertainment was very enjoyable and suitable for all age groups. The sun terrace was really beautiful a lovely place to relax and have a drink. The Hotel is a 10 min walk to the old town and the Beach. In summary we would 💯 go back to the RH Princesa and would say it lives up to its 4* Status Paul & Mandy Northern Ireland

This is a very beautiful hotel, the gardens and pool areas are truly spectacular, however….. There is minimal service at the pools, it is difficult to get a drink and impossible to get any food or snacks which is a great shame as they could capitalise on this. Instead you are charged for changing your pool towel during the day €2 I believe which is pointless and only makes the customer angry at the meanness of such an expensive hotel. The pools are not heated - even the heated pool doesn’t feel heated. Although there are many restaurants they are not open every day - usually only one or two are open so it’s not quite the choice it appears. The quality of the food is poor and greatly overpriced. At the Italian restaurant the food was very poor except for the Mille Fueille dessert which was incredible - the pastry and the presentation were stunning. The main restaurant at the weekends is so overcrowded, it’s impossible to even get a pot of coffee as there are not enough staff. The room itself was the lowest available and perfect with a small garden. There wasn’t any milk for a cup of tea which would improve the stay for me anyway. I would like to say that one particular chap at the adult pool (at the bottom right of the gardens) he worked so hard all day keeping the beds, parasols and towels in order, keeping his customers happy - he was very conscientious about his job and really should be recognised for this. He worked Saturday and Sunday until around 4pm (that was 02/10/22) I would go back because the grounds and hotel in general are a treat for the eye but I would eat out elsewhere unless the prices are greatly reduced. Don’t be put off but be aware of a few faults which could be easily mended.

Returned after staying last year. Stayed in a Level Junior Suite AI which included a Nepresso coffee machine, tea/coffee making facilities plus mini bar which we did not use. Note about the mini bar - it's expensive to use and if you ask for it to be cleared, it will cost you an additional (roughly) 3 euros a day for every day it is empty. The Level experience gives a separate lounge where breakfast can be taken, check-in/check-out area and a separate sun bathing area near the pool. The Level Lounge also provides soft drinks, beer and wine throughout the day with branded spirits and tapas served between 5pm and 7pm daily. Snacks are also available throughout the day. The check-in/check-out experience ran very smoothly. Thank you to the staff in the Level Lounge - Carmen, Selena and Javi - on the front desk for their help and advice. Also a thank you to Rosa, Patricia and the other waitresses in the Level Lounge. Lunch and evening meals are buffet. The food is ok, you will always find something to eat and it is quite varied. The breakfast buffet is extensive. At this point, we would mention that on occasions, we did notice small (baby) cockroaches moving around on the floor of the restaurant. Don't think that it was overrun but they were apparent. We spoke to Manuel, Restaurant Supervisor who said that they were aware and were in the process of eradicating them. We also mentioned it to other staff members. Having mentioned the problem, however, we have booked to return twice next year as the hotel is centrally located in a quiet area, not far from the beach and all the other attractions and all the staff we met were friendly. We also met several guests who frequently return to this hotel year after year and lots of times throughout the year. Finally, a special 'thank you' to Begonia for all her help during our stay and look forward to seeing her and the staff next year.

Excellent base for a city break in Benidorm. We had a room facing the street with bars, lovely balcony that had sun on it most of the day even though it is winter. All staff friendly. Breakfast really good - lots to choose from - relaxed atmosphere. Room clean modern and had a useful fridge (no kettle so take your own). Doors when closed cut off all the street noise below but we liked to sit out and listen to the hustle and bustle. Five min stroll from the prom, 20 min walk to the new town. Nice roof terrace.

GGuest UserHaving just returned from an eleven night stay at the Levante Beach Apartments.we didn't know what to expect as on previous visits to Benidorm we have stayed in hotels. We were pleasently surprised as the two bedroom apartment was although dated very clean and had all the facilities we needed.Five minutes walk and we were on the beach, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The staff were excellent thanks to Sveta and GiGi for making our stay a pleasant one.Would we go back to Levante Beach Apartments yes definitely would no problem.
EEdwinaALoved our stay.. Reception staff so helpful. Had a standard balcony room which was over reception. Floor 9 so had a slightly restricted sea view. Room basic but clean and comfortable.. Shower in the bath was super.. Beds comfy.. Has a fridge which was useful. Asked for kettle and mugs.. Bought tea coffee and milk.. These are provided in superior rooms.. Buffet breakfast was good.. Spanish bacon and sausage, lots of meats, cheeses, cakes etc.. Oh and cava. Fresh orange juice too. Pool was lovely, fairly small but OK. Was too hot for heated indoor pool. . No prob getting sun loungers.. Roof bar great.. Reasonable prices and lovely complementary nuts.. Hotel in ideal position next to old town and near beach. There is a bar which has music in evenings. Loved that majority of people staying were Spanish.. We booked an Easyjet package. Oh and we got a packed breakfast on day we left.
GGuest UserWe travelled as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 4. We stayed the last week of the August UK school holidays. We chose this hotel as we are fans of the Melia chain. Whilst looking we found the hotel available as part of Jet2 holidays and this worked out the cheapest way for us to book. In summary we had a fantastic stay, and the hotel was everything you would expect of a 4-star hotel, just so good. For us though, the kids club staff (who also doubled up as part of the evening entertainment team some nights) were just so much fun, they were great with the kids but also just gave the hotel a generally good friendly vibe- top marks to them all. Now some other points in detail:- Pros - We were the first transfer drop off from the airport and it was a relatively short transfer time of approximately 40 minutes. - Hotel never felt overly busy despite it being August. There were busy spells during peak dining times but only short queues. At some points we had the pool to ourselves. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols available at all times. -the energy and enthusiasm of the Kids Club staff we found to be excellent. Although the activities are mainly in Spanish the staff tried hard to include our children by translating game instructions into English. There is a good programme of events for children - slime making, T-Shirt design, pool inflatables, mini disco etc. parents are able to stay with the children for a session or sign them in and out for the hour and a half. Should the management read this then perhaps they could include English clues in the pirate treasure hunt as this would also have helped to improve their experience at little cost. - the pool and evening entertainment team. My husband and I enjoyed the daily programme of exercises which had a great vibe. As a family we enjoyed the evening shows especially the Grand Circus which was Greatest Showman based and Mamma Mia. Con - Unfortunate first impressions. After an early start and a long day of travel to be greeted by a long queue at check in and only 2 staffed points was a disappointment. We waited for about 30 minutes and we were lucky enough to have joined the queue when it was fairly small. I feel this could have been easily resolved by a third member of staff ‘working the queue’, this person could explain the activity timetable and map of the resort which seemed to be adding to the length of time needed to check in. After our wait we were told that our room was not even ready and to wait for a call from check in or return at the check in time of 4pm. With children flailing we wearily returned to check in at 3:00 having had no call to be told we could check in so perhaps our call had been missed. I’m just glad we didn’t wait until 4pm! - if you are on half board it is worth noting that breakfast finishes at 10:30am and the evening meal isn’t until 8pm. There is an ice cream parlour open and a couple of other restaurants should you wish to pay for lunch. Full and half
GGuest UserJust got back after 10 days at the gala placidia with my wife and 3 teenage kids (17,16,14) and one 12 year old. We aren't the type to nit pick at all so here is our opinion. The hotel rooms are basic but are spotlessly clean, we had 2 rooms with 3 people In each which consisted of 2 single beds and a full size camp bed which were all comfortable and served their purpose. The balconies all overlook the top pool (kid pool). The bathrooms are simple but yet again clean and functional with a hairdryer but they aren't the most powerful so if you normally use one I would advise taking your own, the bedrooms have air conditioning which is absolutely fantastic and a god send when it is mid 30s as it was last week. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels daily of you leave them on the bathroom floor. The food at meal times is varied enough with fruit, cereal, full fry ups, omelettes for breakfast. The snack bar is open at 11am til 1pm them 5pm til 7pm where you can get toastys, hot dogs and burgers which are nice and I heard no complaints. Evening meals are varied and have different themes such as Italian, Mexican (they have a Mexican singer on who is great), Asian which is good. There is always plenty to go at even if kids are fussy... on a Friday night they have a massive bbq outside by the main pool which is fantastic...I have never seen so much food in my life and it was all lovely from chicken kebabs, tomato sausages, burgers, lots of salads and fish, then chocolate fountains and marshmallows for the kids... The main pool opens at 10am til 7pm, we never had a mad rush for sunbeds so dont expect to be charging for them because it doesn't happen there at all, we came down at 11 some days and still had sunbeds available which are in the sun nearly all day there as the pool isn't overlooked so if you like a bit if shade later on get a brolley which there are plenty of. The bar at the pool is open 10am til midnight. As all inclusive I can get as much as you want when you want, from cocktails, beers, coffee, ice lollies etc...the main barman is called Darryl and is a brilliant bloke, he wil go out of his way to make sure you have a good time and get what you want, he speaks 7 languages so if English isn't your 1st language he wil have you covered, he is a massive credit to this hotel as I'm sure you will agree if you go... Entertainment is ok varying from water polo, darts, killer pool, rifle shooting ate but is geared towards older kids and not younger so be aware of that. Evening entertainment is OK but is geared alot towards the Spanish holidaymaker we felt so we went out quite a few Evenings and went to tribute acts and bars etc. If you are going to aqualandia a family ticket of 4 is €110 and you catch the number one bus from the bottom of the road...bus tickets are €1.60 per person. We'll worth a visit but I would take your own food as its expensive inside. All in all we ahead a lovely time, met some great people and would definitely go back ag
Thank you everyone at the Sol y Sombra for a wonderful Christmas and New Year. The food was extremely good and being able to have a glass of wine or beer included made it even better. The staff were very helpful and willing to help us numerous occasions. One of the best attributes of the hotel was it was quiet at night. Will be booking again in the very near future. Many thanks xx
