"everything just nice, just I don’t know how to handle the TV although there got tv box available. There got sofa bed can fit 2 ppl, 1 room with double bed, 1 room with single bed (is really small room), 1 bathroom (no need worry about the water pressure), kitchen with water filter, kettle, microwave, fridge, cutleries. House just next to lift, the sound proof at living area not really good, can hear outside ppl walking, room window sound proof ok. The parking locate at 6th floor and quite hard to go up & down, we decide park road side after that."

"It's a 6 storey shop converted into hotel.  There is no lift, only stairs.  Ground floor is an office.  Hotel reception is on 1st floor, it has got pool table, phone charging station, tables where one can use own laptop for work.  Friendly & helpful reception staff.  Rooms are on 2nd floor to 4th floor, roof top is on the 5th floor.  I was in a twin room on 4th floor with 2 beds, 1 wall mounted desk with 2 table lamps - good enough for one laptop.  Room was clean especially the private bathroom, very clean, no complaint here.  There is hot & cold drinking water faucet in the hall way.  There is a shared bathroom at the end of the hall way.  I guess the bad apples who used it did not know how to flush a toilet so the hall way smelled like a giant toilet of my 5 days there, had to hold my breathe while opening my room door and quickly dash in; this has nothing to do with people who cleaned the bathroom, just jokers who came from places who aren't trained to flush.  Location is a little out, it takes about 15-20 mintues walk to attraction spots.  There is no pedestrain walk path right outside the hotel, it's a busy main road, got to be careful with the traffic.  Overall, my stay was pleasant.  Deleted all my photos before seeing this review section."

"We checked in at midnight, so the front office staff did a quick check-in for us so we could rest. The next day, when we returned to the hotel for a short break, we found that the air conditioning was leaking and the floor was wet. We called the front desk, but the technician took over 30 minutes but still yet to arrive to do a checking. Deciding to check for other available rooms, the staff apologized for the inconvenience and moved us to a different room. We were very satisfied with their service, and the new room was very clean. I'm proud to say this hotel is eco-friendly. Instead of providing bottled water, they have water dispensers on each floor for guests to fill up their own bottles, and the toiletries are also eco-friendly. Thumbs up!!!"

"For those who are driving, take note that the hotel shares the same parking area with Victoria Inn which is next door. And the connection to phone line of Hotel 19 is not available so do call Victoria In front desk to enquire about the parking directions. I like how it's soooo convenient that it is walking distance to Chulia street and many other eateries as for my case, we just come back to the hotel and rest only. Limited room amenities are provided, I advised to bring your own toothpaste, toothbrush, vanity kit, shaving kit, shampoo (they only have conditioner), body wash and stuff. Stayed 2 nights so we requested for a room makeup, I love how the staff placed my dog plushie laying comfortably on our bed haha, so detailed! Tbh we heard the renovation noises, but it doesn't really affect us since we were tired after a long day's trip to go around the island. But it's still a nice and comfortable stay tho with most of the necessities available alr. Would come back to stay again next time and would like to try the yellow rooms for a change!"

"The house is clean, situated above shoplot. One of the room with twin bed is not fully cover up, is just a open space with half wall build and no door, just a curtain to close. One great experience is they use projector for TV shows, can enjoy movies night."

"Surprised by how clean it was despite being an old hotel in the area. I am overall satisfied with the hotel and my room, especially the cleanliness of the toilet and tub area. If I have to be really fussy and pin point a thing I did not like, it would be that the blanket is slightly thinner than I would normally prefer a hotel blanket to me. However, this is just my very fussy side speaking. Overall, I would give this hotel a 4.9 out of 5. I had booked a room with breakfast during my two days there for a workshop. Both days are somewhat the same, food was decent. The workshop provided lunch which led me to again dining in the lunch buffet section, overall it was pleasant. I like it that the hotel provided a variety of Penang food over the two days. My fav was the rojak which I took a photo here haha! Hub enjoyed the pool and hot & cold pool (sadly the sauna was under maintenance). Before I checked out, I also happened to be part of the Penang heritage launch ceremony. So, I got to see some of the really beautiful art work and nyonya clothing items on sale at the pop up stalls at the lobby too. The hotel also was serving nutmeg juice and Penang famous snack 豆沙饼. I must mention too, that I got a sea view room which allowed me to see the extension project by MBPP. There was a very happening and lovely park opposite the hotel just minutes walk away. I couldn’t help to bring myself over and was really happy to experience the joy of the families enjoying the facilities there. Huge slide, lots of climbing equipment and a very decent skatepark! Running track was very nice too! You must check it out if you’re in Penang! It was overall a pleasant stay in all."

"When checking in, don't pay the tourism tax again! My payment on Trip.com included the tourism tax, but the counter staff asked me for it again. It took him a while to confirm it in his printout. I booked for one night and then extended my stay, but changed room in the process. The first room was rather warm, being on the top floor, and the toilet in the first room was about one by two metres. The second room was better in both aspects. However, there was no tissue available, and the toilet paper was of rather low quality. While the traffic is alright outside of peak hours, there were hardly any stores within a short distance. Gurney Walk would be the nearest place to buy food and water, or exchange money."
