Good
GGuest UserI really like the location as it's less busy and relatively quiet. But I don't like the room facing the main road side as despite living on top floor can still hear the car engines. But overall, I have stayed there for 2 times and I will still come back. Staff services are sincere!
JJonathanThe Mongkok Holiday Inn Express is a short walk down Dundas Street from the Yau Ma Tei metro -- f you have heavy suitcases, you are better off getting a taxi from the Kowloon Airport Express station. I moved here because the prices at the Golden Mile Holiday Inn were climbing through the roof over Christmas, and the Mongkok Holiday Inn was almost half the price. Very friendly and accommodating staff, who looked after my luggage through several comings and goings, saving me almost another £100 on storage fees. Breakfast is a choice from a set menu rather than a buffet, but it was nice enough. I'll definitely stay here again.... in fact, I will stay here again the day after tomorrow!
VVirginiaWe had an excellent stay the room was very clean and new with almost complete amenities, just missing a body lotion. Breakfast was good too. The view from the roof deck is beautiful. Very near to airport with free shuttle bus service. I will come back and book this room again.
KKrivI recently stayed at the Rosedale Hotel in Hong Kong for two nights and found it to be a pleasant experience. The rooms are cozy and sufficient for a short stay. The bedding was clean, and the overall ambiance was comfortable.
One of the standout features is its location. It’s approximately a 10 minute walk from the MTR Station, making it easy to navigate the city. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance to the Hong Kong Stadium, which was convenient for attending events.
The area around the hotel is convenient, with two 7-Eleven stores nearby. There are also several restaurants in close proximity, offering a variety of dining options.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent as it is near MTR and lot of restaurants nearby. The room’s layout is excellent too and you will feel too small as compared with some of other hotel which also has less than 20 square meters. The room has big windows so you have good sunlight from outside on a sunny day. The service is good in general except the late check out policy should be more relaxed, in particular my request is on a Typhoon No 10 day. Good free breakfast.
GGuest UserI've had one of the most frustrating stays I can remember. Even though I can't say it was really hotel's fault, just a bad sequence of events. When I first got into my room, the room had a bit of a smell.. nothing terrible, it's almost 30 years old hotel and well carpets etc. also the hotel doesn't provide drinking water and there is only a box of tissues in the bathroom. What was worse, was that wifi was very unstable, when I tried to contact front desk about it, I couldn't reach them because of the ridiculously long queue for check in or they wouldn't answer the phone. Also the toilet was a bit dodgy, but it mostly worked. In the morning at 5 some guests made really a lot of noise, so at 6 I came to the front desk to complain about all, because, well, there won't be queues at such time. The receptionist offered to change me to a different room. Few hours later, I wanted to take a swim, but the pool was closed despite sunny weather.. apparently the government issued a storm warning. At that time I just wanted a refund and leave the place, but they would refuse, just insist on the room exchange. I went out for the day and when I came back there was an hour-long queue at a reception desk, which I refused to join. I asked concierge for help, but the guy refused to help me and had really bad attitude. So after loud argument with the men, I stormed directly in front of the front desk and demanded my new room. They gave it to me in 30 seconds and after I called to fix the wifi, rest of my stay was actually pretty great. The harbour view from 31st floor is really nice, especially early in the morning.
All in all, if one expects a 4-star hotel, this is not it. However for a budget accommodation (as was the price I paid) it is more than nice.
SSwelamWe really loved our stay at Grand Bay View Hotel — the views were stunning and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our trip. However, the only downside was that the staff felt mostly absent during our stay, which made it a bit hard to get support when needed. Overall, still a great spot if you're looking for a peaceful and scenic escape.
GGuest UserLocated at Wan Chai, one of the main living area at island.
Since it was operated by renovation of old house, there are no evaluator at main living building and reception is actually ground floor of building nearby, but they try the best to make them connected by rooftops as public garden and bridge.
They make very effective use for space, as there is a pillar at the middle of single room. anyway I think it is good enough for daily lives and the price.
Recommended, if you do not need too much space with luxurious.
Wish coming here again!
GGuest UserReasonably clean but could tell the building was very old with a musty smell. You could say the decorations were quite vintage/old depending on how you look at it. Room was big for hk standards and staff was friendly. One thing to note is that they are cutting down on disposable amenities according to chinese regulations but some that are not provided can be bought from a vending machine in the gym. Wanted to buy a dental kit but the touchscreen pad said it was sold out although it was stocked.
DDavidThe hotel is located at Tsingyi which is near Disneyland and airport. There are many tourists staying at this hotel who are taking the advantage of the proximity. I choose to stay here because it is near my customer. It is part of the condominium. Only two eateries, one supermarket and a few shops within the compound. I need to walk out to the estates or take a minibus to Tsingyi MTR for meals. Good thing is minibus arrives at the condo. Hence it is consider convenient.
The lock of my room is spoiled. They managed to repair it within the same day though it is Sunday.
