Royal Plaza Hotel

Mong Kok's travel ceiling! Royal Plaza Hotel made my entire Hong Kong trip comfortable and healing. I stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel throughout my self-guided trip to Hong Kong, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I simply must write a detailed review. The room was cleaned daily by dedicated staff, with impeccable hygiene control. The entire room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. The butler service was highly responsive and efficient; when I needed cutlery, it was delivered to the room instantly, which was very thoughtful. Every evening, I like to relax with a bath. The bathtub was clean and odorless. After a tiring day of travel, a hot bath washed away all the fatigue. Downstairs, there's direct access to Mui Wah Bing Tang, offering authentic Hong Kong-style food readily available and delicious, making dining out extremely convenient. What surprised me most was the location: the hotel is seamlessly connected to Grand Century Place, and Mong Kok East Station is right outside. Taking the MTR to major popular spots like Ocean Park, Disneyland, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Causeway Bay was a breeze, with no need to worry about transportation. In Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, the rooms are spacious and wide, providing maximum comfort, suitable for both family trips and solo travelers. Two small, heartwarming suggestions for the hotel's improvement: Currently, the cutlery and bowls provided are a bit small. It was slightly inconvenient when I occasionally cooked Samyang Buldak noodles at night. If larger instant noodle bowls could be added, it would better cater to the needs of young guests. Also, if a stainless steel caddy could be installed on the bathtub, allowing for a glass of wine, aromatherapy, or a book while bathing, the ambiance and experience would be even better. Overall, it's impeccable. Hardware, service, and location are all top-notch. I will prioritize choosing this hotel again for my next trip to Hong Kong. I sincerely recommend it to all visitors to Hong Kong!

Extremely convenient transportation! Mong Kok East MTR Station Exit D directly connects to the mall where the hotel is located, and there's a bus terminus right outside. There are also plenty of dining and shopping options. The only downsides are that it gets very crowded and the facilities are a bit old. Still, I'd highly recommend it.

The negative reviews in the comments section really don't come out of nowhere. I booked two rooms this time, and the chair in one of the rooms made me super itchy when I sat on it. It was fine when I didn't sit, but as soon as I did, it became incredibly itchy. I'm pretty sure it must have been dirty for that to happen. Plus, they claim to be a five-star hotel, but the air conditioning was so noisy I couldn't sleep. People with light sleep should definitely avoid this place! You absolutely won't get a good night's rest!

The room was quite spacious for Hong Kong standards. The entire hotel was also large and very clean. There's a swimming pool right outside, and a mall, Mong Kok East Station, and a 7-Eleven right when you step out. The only downside is that you have to transfer trains every time you take the MTR.

This hotel is located inside a shopping mall and is very large with many rooms. However, when we checked in after 3 PM for our two family suites, we were told only one was ready. We had to wait in the first room until 5 PM to get the key card for the second room. The check-in process was quite slow and wasted a lot of our sightseeing time. On the bright side, the hotel staff and cleaning ladies were all very friendly. The subway station is right downstairs, and the rooms aren't small and even have a mini-fridge. Overall, it's still pretty good.

The hotel is upscale and ideally located, very close to Mong Kok East MTR station. It's directly connected to a mall, which in turn leads straight to the MTR, so you don't even have to go outside. The quadruple room was perfect for our group, and we were lucky to get it. A typhoon was approaching, and we had to cancel one night, but the hotel was very accommodating and refunded us. Much appreciated!

The transportation here is incredibly convenient. With Mong Kok East MTR station and a bus terminal nearby, getting around is a breeze. Don't hesitate when you see the stairs next to Mido Cafe – that's the hotel entrance. Besides the abundance of dining options in the moko mall downstairs, there are also plenty of eateries and dessert shops on Argyle Street. The first 500 meters of the walk there are covered by an indoor walkway, so you're protected from sun and rain. The room size is generous; we could easily open two suitcases. Our room even had a separate shower with excellent water pressure. The pool is right downstairs and looks very inviting and chill. We stayed for 6 nights and were very satisfied overall, but on the last night, I'm not sure if it was the towel or the sheets, but I ended up with 5 or 6 incredibly itchy red bumps on my feet (I was the only one of the three of us who got bitten, so I suspect it was the towel). This put a bit of a damper on what would have otherwise been a perfect stay.
