Hokitika Hotels with Bars

This is the most satisfactory motel in the whole trip. It is clean and spacious, and the house is beautiful. It's very close to the seaside and the glowworm caves, just a few minutes' drive.

The staff is very helpful, she asked me where to go when checking out, she told us the road is being blocked for our next next station. So that we can change our itinerary anc book another motel, otherwise our trip will be in a mess. The motel location is good, only the walking distance can reach the town center and the beach. However the motel is quiet, we can hear the bird sound to wake us up. But pls note that the motel do not provide toothpaste and toothbrush, remember bring them by yourself.

Passing through the town of Hokitika, I feel that this motel is just fine, I can cook for myself. The room is small, but it is very clean, the facilities are complete, and there are gas stations and supermarkets around.

The self-driving trip from Christchurch to Greymouth lasted until very late, and we went to Pancake Rock and West Piont, a nearby 1-hour drive. The room is really clean. It was newly renovated during our 2025 stay. with all the fire station items, it really make our stay interesting. One of a kind indeed.
