Best Hokitika Hotels

The staff is very helpful, she asked me where to go when checking out, she told us the road is being blocked for our next next station. So that we can change our itinerary anc book another motel, otherwise our trip will be in a mess. The motel location is good, only the walking distance can reach the town center and the beach. However the motel is quiet, we can hear the bird sound to wake us up. But pls note that the motel do not provide toothpaste and toothbrush, remember bring them by yourself.

Passing through the town of Hokitika, I feel that this motel is just fine, I can cook for myself. The room is small, but it is very clean, the facilities are complete, and there are gas stations and supermarkets around.

The price is average, the card needs a handling fee and there is no advance notification.

The room is really clean. It was newly renovated during our 2025 stay. with all the fire station items, it really make our stay interesting. One of a kind indeed.

The location of this hotel is close to the firefly wormhole. It is especially convenient to watch at night. It is only about five minutes walk. On the opposite side of the road, recommend this accommodation. The car stops outside the door!

Nice location, all money is valued to its location. The room had no air conditioning, room was generally clean, bathroom like the showering place was just ok, the room had a weird smell (like something left wet for a long time). The fan in the room was dusty. The fan in the bathroom takes a while to be silence as it’s attached to the light switch, cant even being bothered turning on the bathroom light during the night. The breakfast buffet was ok… coffee are from the machine, didn’t like it. Scrambled egg was almost like smashed eggs, bacon was hard to cut.

The living room and kitchen of the changed room are large, facing the sea, with large space. The scenery is beautiful and the environment is quite good!
