Next to the hotel is Central Street. It is convenient to take a taxi or subway. It is easy to go anywhere. The Songhua River is right at the door. Old potatoes in the south can go to the river to play ice. The service in the hotel is good, the room aunt is very polite, I am very impressed!

The hotel is in an excellent location, with the north gate facing the Songhua River Stalin Park and very close to Central Avenue. The hotel is a U-shaped building. The hotel also upgraded the rooms with ventilation windows. There are kvass souvenirs when you check in, and bottled water in the lobby, which can be used for free. The breakfast is good, 68 yuan. Recommended!

It was our fifth night we decided to stay again here, REASON: LOCATION it was center of everything and value for money, I have 2 kids and they let us stay on the room for free and they also have free breakfast, we stay here for 5nights and the breakfast main dish change everyday. we choose to stay on the higher floor, 6th floor it is different from the room in 2nd floor despite of the same style of room. the room in 2nd floor is quite big and and good, but the room on the 6th floor is the cabinet does not have a door, and it quite old, but its okay we are just here to stay for the night because we go out everymorning, still nothing beat on value for money and location
Very Good

I am a Canadian and I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I walked extensively around Harbin and the location of this hotel is about as good as you can get. It is not a fancy hotel but it is very clean and well maintained. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and eager to please. The location is only a few blocks from the main Central pedestrian street which is a lot of fun to walk especially in the evening with all the lighting and the thousands of people owed to enjoy the scenery. Also the river is only two blocks away and has a wonderful walking path all along the river to enjoy the scenery. There are a few convenience stores within 100 m of the front door so it's easy to grab a snack or some bottles of water or other juices and eating items. One thing to note is that although it is a non-smoking Hotel......many of the guests are smoking in the room so the smell does tend to drift into the hallway....but it's hardly a big deal.

The warm experience at the Meilunmeihuan Hotel on Central Street made me re-recognize Harbin.
This time I returned to Harbin after more than ten years. To be honest, I used to have some stereotypes about the service industry in Northeast China - I felt that they were not serious enough and their attitude was a bit rude. But this time staying at the Meilunmeihuan Hotel really changed my mind.
About the room:
I booked this hotel mainly to see the Songhua River. The official website said that the high-rise river view room has a good view. I booked a big bed river view room, but when I checked in, I was arranged to have a room on the 12th floor with a side view of the river. Although I could see it, it was not particularly open. I tried to contact the hotel butler who added WeChat and asked if I could change to a river view room. The butler was very frank and said that it was indeed full that day, but promised to help me adjust it the next day. Unexpectedly, I was really changed to a river view room on the 20th floor the next day. Not only did the view suddenly widen, but the room was also much more spacious. Looking at the Songhua River, I felt refreshed. I didn't even want to leave the room. Here I would like to thank the staff member surnamed Kong.
About service:
This time when I came back, I used ** takeout for the first time. I ordered a bunch of hometown snacks at the hotel. When one order of skewers was delivered, it was already late. I was too lazy to go downstairs to get it. Unexpectedly, the front desk guy took the initiative to help me bring it up and told me that I could call the front desk next time and they would bring it up to me. He also took the initiative to ask me if I needed it heated up. I was a little surprised because I had never encountered a hotel that still took care of hot takeout before. He said very straightforwardly: ”Of course!” After it was heated up, it was specially delivered. This kind of detail really warmed my heart.
On the day of check-out, I was waiting for the car in the lobby. A staff member who was tidying up and washing bath towels saw my two large suitcases and took the initiative to ask: ”Do you need help?” Then he helped me move the luggage to the door. Although it was a small thing, this kind of natural kindness made me feel very cordial.
The restaurant staff and room cleaners were also very cordial, with the kind of enthusiasm and warmth unique to Northeastern people.
About the location:
The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few steps from Central Avenue, and close to the Songhua River. It is very comfortable to go to Stalin Park for a walk at night and see the night view. It is not far from the Sophia Cathedral, and it is a great place for shopping or relaxation. Overall, it is very suitable for tourists.
Summary:
This hotel may not be the kind of luxury, but it is very comfortable to live in. The staff are very enthusiastic and feel like home. Thank you for the warm experience this hotel brought me. If I come back next time, I may choose here again.

My room smelled cigarettes even though it’s a non smoking floor, housekeeping changed the bedsheet and pillows as requested,. Managers were very helpful, one male manager helped me to carry my shopping bag and send to my room when he met me at the main floor. I would like to compliment Ms Amy Xu whom helped me to book a taxi as I do not have a local phone card . I am grateful for her help

I absolutely love my stays at Wanda Holiday Hotel! We visited in early December 2024 for a family trip, and our rooms were spacious. The location is fantastic, just across from ZhongYang Dajie. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The only downside was that they don’t provide air conditioning in the rooms during winter since they use a central system. It felt a bit stuffy, but thankfully the windows could be opened slightly to let in some fresh, cold air. Despite this, I would definitely return if I have the chance to visit Harbin again in the future.

YYburnnavoyagesMy friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Grand Mercure hotel in Harbin, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we entered, I was struck by the spotlessly clean surroundings and the comfortable feeling that enveloped us. The high ceiling added a touch of grandeur to the ambiance, making it feel a luxury 5-star accommodation, all at a budget-friendly price.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the comfortable bed and fresh linens. I had the best sleep and woke up feeling refreshed, as if I had slept like a baby. The attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable sleep experience was truly commendable.
The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional service. Despite some language barriers, they went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed and provide accurate information. I vividly remember ALAN CHEN or Chan, although I'm unsure of the exact spelling of his name. He was always attentive to our concerns and questions, taking the time to communicate and ensure we received the correct directions. Their dedication and willingness to assist made a lasting impression on me.
In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easily accessible from the airport which is around 45mins or less.
The ride took less than 10 minutes to reach the high-speed railway station from the hotel. However, I must mention that there weren't many convenient shops in the immediate vicinity, which might be a minor inconvenience for some travelers.
Our only issue during our stay was the room temperature, which was quite warm. Despite adjusting the thermostat, we couldn't achieve a comfortable coolness. We resorted to opening the window slightly to let in some fresh air, but leaving it open throughout the night posed the risk of catching a cold. It would be highly beneficial if the hotel could consider providing a humidifier, as the air in the room felt excessively dry.
Overall, my stay at this hotel was truly amazing. The cleanliness of the hotel, the exceptional staff, and the convenient location all contributed to a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Harbin and would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit. The management may want to look into improving the room temperature control and addressing the dryness in the air to ensure an even more pleasant stay for future guests.
WWei MinOverall this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in. Rich cultural history and uniqueness. I shall put the negative part first before I put the positives at the end.
Cleanliness I marked down because someone before me put flowers into the bathtub and there were random roses petals coming out of the knob that controlled the drainage of the bath tub. There were stains on the bathtub too.
Location I put 5 but actually I would rate it 4.5. The street that the hotel is on is extremely crowded and jam in the late mornings to night. It is highly likely that you will be dropped off near the entrance of the street and need to walk in if you cab. We decided to use public transport and walk in instead on the second time we came to the hotel. But early in the morning it was relatively empty and the cab could come in to pick us up. It is very near the walking streets / zhong yang jie. There was an event literally outside our hotel area. Got a chimney bread plus ice cream on the same street as the hotel but is diagonally on the opposite right.
This booking is for a lower tired room. But when we went there we were offered discounted upgrades. Not free but at least it wasn't the price stated. We upgraded to the highest tier, a suite with dedicated sitting area and bathtub.
Celebrated my birthday here. They prepared a cake. It was delicious 😋
Many costumes to try but most were too big. For reference i am 152cm 48kg. I managed to find a blue and white costume with a matching hat that was more fitting so I could wear it out of the hotel room to take photos in the reception area. The toilet staircase, the chairs in the reception, outside the elevator, a backyard and the restaurant are nice places for photo taking.
The ancient elevator closes at 5pm. I am not sure when it opens.
The restaurant had a promotion on dianping or douyin. Recommended for 4 people. But portions are typically huge and if only 2 people come likely to waste. We met another couple on our trip and we decided to share. Non hotel guests can eat in the restaurant too.
Just before we left, we had a door gift too^^

SSoudsathit VandixayWe had a lovely stay at Xana, staff do not speak English but it was not an issue at all, they were very helpful and took good care of us and our needs, while using a translation app to talk to each other. The room was not that large but functional and clean, bed is comfy, bathroom and toilet were clean and there was a free afternoon tea at the lobby with delish cookies and fruits. The location is top notch, right in front of Zhaolin park and just 1 mn walk to the commercial Zhongyang street and just 5 mn away from Songhua river, park. If you use DIDI TRAVEL on the Alipay app, the location of this hotel should be spelled as ”Xi'an Deluxe Hotel..”
Overall, it was a lovely experience for us staying at Xana and would recommend to our friends if they travel to Harbin

GGuest UserWe spent three nights in this hotel and found it to be a little further from everything we wanted to see and do, but that did not make our stay any less pleasant. The staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. The hotel looks out on a lovely pond that is frozen sold in winter and covered with a thick layer of snow. A perfect playground for young and old alike. Catching a Didi from the hotel is also fairly easy as it isn’t stuck right in the centre of the ice festival activities.
GGuest UserThis hotel is very nice amazing service is pretty good and if you want a budget friendly hotel i will highly recommend this. As a foreigner it was great hotel.
GGuest UserA very good express hotel, just the way I like it, clean and refreshing. I booked a double room, which was not big but enough. The best thing is that although the room is at the end of the corridor, it is not like some express hotels that have to walk a long distance, but it is very safe and comfortable to reach the elevator. The room soundproofing and sanitary facilities are very satisfactory. And it is also very convenient to book and check out.
The room is on a big road called Maimai Street, which is convenient for transportation. It is adjacent to the First Hospital and there are food a few steps away. Here are a few pictures, the first one is outside the hotel window, and the second one is the ice sculpture of the nearby Zhaolin Park.

HHaiqal NohXin Yuhang, the employee that works in Sun Castle Resort Hotel is really nice, helpful and friendly, helps us with the difficulties we had throughout our stay there. Because of our language barriers , he was patience to translate it to us and despite the crowd that kept coming in and making him busy, he handle one by one with class, professionalism, and each person's help. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel and holiday in Harbin. Thank you so much for making our stay a great one. We'll rate this 10/10
CCris RuffoloI love the location of this hostel. It was just right across the Zhongyang Street subway stop (Line 2). If you go to the Ice and Snow World Park, that's only three stops away for only, if I remember right, RMB 2. Make sure to read/check the other reviews for photos of the gate that will lead you to the door of this hostel. I arrived in the morning, about 10 a.m., and was welcomed by JP. After sorting out my things, I left my luggage to head to the Ice and Snow World Park where I stayed until 5 p.m.
I took the subway back to Zhongyang Street. I planned on walking from there to Saint Sophia Cathedral but it was too cold for me. I live in Beijing but I am originally from the Philippines so even if I was dressed warm - thermal clothes, hot packs, several layers, downjacket, scarves, beanies, ear muffs - it was still brrrr cold!
I took a Didi car from there to the cathedral and spent about 30 minutes there and then went back to the hostel. There was a social night going on downstairs but I was so beat that day I just decided to rest. I briefly interacted with a lady from Singapore named Megan.
The following day, I walked from the hostel to Hongzhuan Morning Market which is a culture of its own. Come hungry and happy! From there, I took a Didi to go to the No. 6 factory of Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Holding Co. It is dubbed as the ”Louvre of the East” but having visited the Louvre itself, it doesn't really come close. I think the moniker just came from the fact that there are several paintings and art collection in the building and the area outside feels a bit like you're in Europe.
Another Didi ride got me to Lao Daowai or the Chinese Baroque Street then another Didi to Central Street. Don't miss these two as they are filled with worthy buildings and spots to marvel, photograph of or buy trinkets from.
Harbin was the last stop of my northeastern China winter sojourn. Will I come back? Maybe. Will I stay in this hostel? Maybe.
I like the arrangement of the beds in this 16-people dorm for girls but the bathroom is a squat toilet and I don't like that. If I ever stay here again, I will choose the rooms with Western-style toilets.

Very Good
IIBRAHIM إِبۡرَاهِيمَ 依布拉欣If you're planning to visit the Harbin Ice and Snow World, remember to purchase spikes at the counter (8 YUAN). It's affordable and can prevent falls and injuries. Unfortunately, I slipped on the ice and badly hurt my ankle. Luckily, there's a nearby hospital, Harbin Shengfeng Hospital, just a 10-15 minute walk away (you can use Google Maps). The doctors there are helpful, but they don't speak English, so bring your passport and use Google Translate if needed.
On a brighter note, I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. They have a large mirror and a hot water station where you can prepare instant noodles. Although they don't have a kitchen, you can easily get utensils and a mug from nearby convenience stores, especially if you're planning to make coffee.
One thing I found really convenient was the international charger ports provided for each bed. Before checking out, remember to strip your bed and leave a note in the lobby to indicate your presence. I left a Malaysian flag as my mark.
