Service Staff at the Counter and Restaurant are friendly. Amazing doorman as well! We really appreciate them. Location is wonderful. Unfortunately, housekeeping is sad. Nevertheless, they have a crew of wonderful service staff and security team. Especially, Mr Wu. Thanks!

Located quite near to West Lake. The hotel is very aged. Needs some refurbishment, but ok for the price paid.

Room was nice, prime location to the lake and shopping district. Lots of options for breakfast both American and Chinese cuisine. Would stay again

Strategic location and many selections of breakfast provided . Easy to go Xihu by walking and other places by bus .Breakfast food is delicious , non oily , dessert served with less sweetness which is my favourite. Can improve further if laundry service provided and the hotel has own washing machine and dryers . Will definitely recommended friends and family to this hotel.

The hotel is located next Tyne West lake and shopping streets near it, which is close to many activities. However, due to the aging facilities, the air conditioning was really weak and lights were dim. The receptionist offered me a free room upgrade though. Thanks for that. Will think twice before rebooking this hotel next time.

Best of the hotel is the location. Many appliances should be updated, compared other hotels, looks old. Room was clean, not noise and free of cigarette smell, just out of date regarding design and room appliances

The check in process was quite smooth. No one was in line. I arrived early and the receptionist let me have the room. Sometimes the receptionist will give us information like coffee and tea are free of charge. If you need more , we can provide it. In this case. She just handed me the key card. I wouldn’t say she was all that welcoming. She was just doing her job .  I am thankful that I have free coffee and tea. Each day new ones were provided. I was there for 4 days. The location is the best and only minutes from West Lake as well as a lively nearby shopping street to the south and a street fall of street food to the north. There is a bus stop outside that takes you around the lake . The metro station is only 10 minutes walk . It is deceiving though even though the entrance C6 is nearby less than 10 minutes away . After you entered it, you still need to walk another 8 to 10 minutes more underground.  I stayed on 7 floor I think and the view was great. The building is not enough so it is not worth paying extra for lake view because you only see a sliver of the lake . The daily cleaning is adequate. Towels were replaced, garbages disposed daily. The room is quite big with space to place my carry on luggage. It has a desk to eat. There are enough electrical sockets to charge my devices. There is a small coffee table and a sofa which I love.  There are several things that I don’t like. One : the room is bit dark. There is no ceiling lights . The lightbulbs are not bright enough. Two : No microwaves in the building. Three : No laundry room. Four : The room door slams shut. In the morning, one can hear  a lot of slamming of the door. The people didn’t slam it shut. The only way the door can be closed is to slam it so it created a lot of noise.Five : anyone can enter the building and to my floor. You don’t need a key card to reach your floor.  Six. The use of single use shampoo, bathing gel. This is not environmentally friendly. If they have a large liquid bath gel and shampoo, it would be much better.  The air conditioner has no digital temperature reading. It shares the same ventilation with the other rooms. If there are smokers in the other room, you can smell it.  The room wall is not well insulated and if anyone talked a bit louder, one can hear it easily.  The hotel is one of the most expensive hotels in my trip in China. I stayed in one near Shanghai Hongquiao metro /airport. It was cheaper, fruit was served in the afternoon and through the evening and breakfast was great. Coffee was available and the person in charge was warm and friendly. My room reservation didn’t include breakfast.  The building is quite dated(aka. a bit old ). This , being a 4 stars hotel, I did have a higher expectation .  I would give it a 3.0 to 3.5 stars at best.

It is a very old hotel, with a great location. Short walking distance to the lake, and WuLing night market is just at the corner. The hotel is old but still very clean. Limited parking spots, but we managed to get one. Overall still happy with the place. .

Good location, hotel could be renewed as it is a bit old. But not that bad

Classically decorated and comfortable hotel within short walking distance from West Lake.

The building is old but indoor is well equipped. Prime location to XIHU and WULIN food STREET.
