Hotel staff were all wonderful and pleasant to speak with. Room was well stocked with various amenities and utilities. Unusual aesthetic- I’d describe it as highly feminine Parisian kitsch - furnishing is old but fully functional and very clean. Staff certainly know enough English to get you to your room and explain the utilities, and are patient and understanding. Location is excellent too - short walk from Hakodate JR station. 👍

A typical Japanese-style B&B with two floors, run by the owner and his family with great care, and decorated in Japanese-Western style. Public restrooms but convenient. It's very close to Hakodate Station, and just around the corner is the morning market, making it very convenient for eating and drinking!

The hotel is very old. The room smells and is not very clean. There are hairs on the quilt and cushion. I slept without a quilt all night.

It was very close to the station and very convenient. The facilities were well-equipped, which was nice. The people at the accommodation were very kind and helpful. However, there were stains on the suit and other items, and there were bugs, which was a bit disappointing.

The friendly and cozy facilities were nice, and there was a gas station across the street that opened at 7:30, which was very helpful for driving a rental car.

Friendly service. Close to the station. Will stay there again next time I have a chance.

It's a bit expensive to drag your luggage up the stairs.

The kids were making a lot of noise. Please walk a little quieter... Also, I don't really like mixed bathing...

這裏旅館很棒，老闆是個很很親切的大叔，本來説晚上10點後不能辦理入住的，經過電話溝通，願意等我到晚上11點多，一進房子很細心用幹布幫我擦乾淨行李箱的水，辦理退房的時候還送了一包小吃😀

I spent one night only at the accomodation but wished I could have stayed longer. The host provided a detailed description in advanve of how to reach the property. The location is excellent, only about 5 min walking distance from Hakodate Station. As soon as I stepped into the inn, I felt right at home. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and there was everything I needed and the bath was so relaxing. If I'm ever back in Hakodate, I'll definitely stay at Pension Puppy Tail again. Thank you for everything!
