My stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support.
The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island.
The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. Thank you for an exceptional stay!

The first words of the staff is âwelcome to paradiseâ and we can only say it was truly experiencing paradise. From the first second at lounge arrival to the last second of departure there was an amazing, friendly and personalized customer care! The hotel environment , the room, the food, the complementary boat trips all was excellent and gave us an incredible experience to never forget and ⊠to return back toâșïž

âIâve visited a few sea turtle conservation programmes before. Some are there to be photographed. Some are actually doing the work. This one is actually doing the work.
The staff know the current state of each nest and can estimate roughly when hatching will happen. During the release they donât let visitors touch the turtles. At night they use red-light torches and ask guests not to use flashlights or camera flashes. That night, sixty-something hatchlings made their way toward the moonlight and into the sea. Two of them moved slower than the rest. That part stayed with me.
The tent sits right on that beach.
Shared bathrooms, a short walk away, not a problem in practice. The restaurant is just outside the glamping area, a little walk in the evening, but along the way one evening we saw someone propose on the beach with the sunset behind them. Quite something.â

Alma CMy husband and I celebrated our second year anniversary at Cauayan. We considered other resorts but we have definitely made the right choice. The island is just breathtaking! We were greeted with a warm welcome by the hotel staff and were escorted to our beautiful villa. My husband arranged a private tour of El Nido islands, where we ended up visiting about 7 spots with our guide even acting as our photographer (he took fantastic photos and videos too). In terms of food, the buffet breakfast offered a wide array of food selection. For lunch / dinner, we enjoyed all that we ordered (though some are really very spicy, so take note). The bar staff can concoct amazing drinks as per your mood & whim. I particularly enjoyed the spa and wished I booked a much longer massage. Our stay at the island became so much more meaningful when we witnessed hawksbill sea turtles being released to the oceanâŠ.As amazing as all these are, the best part of our stay in Cauayan is the friendly and customer focused staff. They prioritize the customersâ needs, always have a smile on their faces and have just made our stay in El Nido a memorable one. Thank you Cauayan and we will surely return for another amazing experience at your island!

From the minute we arrived quite late at night we were welcomed by Nanni the owner. This is a gem of a place. Lakwa has a cool vibe. Great little burger bar, delicious breakfasts and a great bar to hang at night for a drink.
Room was very clean, quiet and modern.
Nanni and his team offer off road dirt bike tours where you can see places others just donât get to see.
They also provide you with a scooter so you can get around and self explore El Nido. Itâs also located 500 metres from the beautiful Lio Beach. Nanni, Alex and the team are a wealth of knowledge on areas to visit and assisted us with booking a tour. The motel room also has an information guide too which was very helpful. We give this motel and staff an 11/10. Canât speak highly enough on how we appreciated their hospitality.

The hotel looks nice from the outside, but everything inside felt dirty and poorly maintained. Initially, we were put in a room overlooking vents and a noisy street, even though we had specifically requested a quiet room when booking. The hotel was accommodating and moved us to a different room. However, I have to say, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear everything happening outside very clearly. Especially the motorcycles going by and the rooster crowing in the mornings!
The cleaning was terrible â everything was dusty and grimy. And they'll only clean your room if you remember to hang the 'make up room' sign on the door.
Breakfast was a letdown; the selection was very limited. The cheese was awful and clearly the cheapest kind. There was no cold cuts or ham. Breakfasts here felt more like lunch or dinner. You're better off going to local cafes for breakfast.
On the positive side, the location is good, and the pool area is beautiful with a fantastic view.
This hotel might be suitable for a short stay, but definitely keep the aforementioned issues in mind.

This is a bit of a special place. The hotel is right at its own private beach. Itâs very isolated from everything else which can be nice if you donât want to leave the hotel at all. We wanted to go to the town some evenings and that is a bit of a challenge. You first have to take a golf car (which only runs until 10pm) and then change into a tricycle. The tricycles wonât go directly to the hotel because the last bit of the road is too steep and winded. The other option is to walk along the beach for 20 minutes instead of using the golf car for the last bit, which we did a couple of times. Itâs not too dangerous but there are stray dogs.
The food in the hotel restaurant was Italian and just ok, nothing amazing. The service was not great. Two women seem to know how to run a hotel but the rest of the staff were rather useless. They often seemed annoyed, even when we were just ordering food. We once asked about the zipline that is literally next door and they didnât know anything about it (price, time, how to get there). They organised a tour for us, which was great, but messed up the booking somehow so the tour guide thought we were only two people instead of four, which resulted in less food for lunch. And then they even charged us more for the tour.
Our room was fine. Clean and no bugs. Yes, you can hear everything but we didnât mind that. The room was only made up on request though.
The whole area is beautiful but there were a few things that annoyed us. So I wouldnât come back.

Ora Beach needs an update, the hotel is large and the rooms large. But all the facilities, gym, aircons, TV are old and outdated. It's on a stretch of beach in a little Cove with a beautiful view , the food is... ok. But it's close to some great restaurants elsewhere. The shower was poor but the toilet worked.
