đ¨ Situated 30 mins from the airport this is a little gem located right in the heart of Huaxi Shilihe Beach National Urban Wetland Park. éŠŹĺ¨ the manager was so nice and went out of her way to make me feel welcome.
I was upgraded to a suite which was spacious, had a lovely bath and the bed and sheets were luxurious. Unfortunately, the air conditioner wasnât working so it was very hot in my room but the manager found me a fan right away which was perfect and I had a nice nights sleep. The hotel lobby and stairway could be a little more clean but the views were nice from the common balcony area.
đ¤Š éŠŹĺ¨ showed me where I could rent a bike to explore the wetland park and made delicious recommendations on where I could get the local noodles that were soooo tasty I went back twice! đĽ The restaurants nearby serve a lot of BBQ and many other places have KTV but it didnât go on throughout the night. There is a little construction across the valley during the day as it seems someone is building a big resort but inside the room it was very quiet. Itâs a 3 mins walk from the river and if you walk about 5 mins away from the little town itâs quiet and peaceful by the river.
â¤ď¸ I would recommend staying here if you want to explore a gorgeous wetland park in the city or if you want a little taste of nature before flying from Guiyang. Itâs also very close to the Huaxi park (about 20mins walk) and Tianhetan park is around a 25-40 mins taxi depending on traffic and time and costs about 40-50rmb.

It satisfies my imagination of a B&B. The environment is good and the service is also very good. The shadows of the trees are mottled, and the leaves can be heard rustling in the wind. The stream is crystal clear, and many people are riding bicycles and walking on the greenway. You can stay in the room in a daze, or you can ride an electric bike around. Have a cup of coffee in the afternoon and spend time leisurely. The room is clean, comfortable and brightly lit.

The owner runs it with heart, and there are their little stories in every corner. The tea room on the first floor of the room is next to a large floor-to-ceiling glass window. Both me and my children love this corner very much. Sitting cross-legged, enjoying freshly brewed green tea, looking at the sunlight coming in from the window, this is the feeling of my dream home, having a place of my own to recharge my body and mind. During the day, take the children to the door, rent a bicycle, and you can travel along the greenway to the ten-mile river beach. There is such a natural oxygen bar next to Zhu, which saves the need to find a place to travel during the day. It is extremely suitable for couples or parent-child travel. If you are lucky, the owner will take the Corgi dog Lux to the lobby cafe and order a cup of iced American made by the boss lady herself. There are smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms that can be selected according to needs.

1. Location is convenient: Subway station is right at the door, where you can arrive at major points of the city without many connections on the ground.
2. Food: One breakfast is included in my rate. Adding one costs only US$4. The variety of food is blowing me away. Without exaggeration you wonât repeat what you eat in a week if you pick only five items each day. Think about whatâs provided in US hotel for $15. Only $4 here - unbelievable!
3. Staff are very courteous and helpful, from front desk to cleaning personnel, and room services. Youâll receive instant response to address your need whenever you raise it.
4. Facility: It was put in operation in 2022 so everything is new and maintained well. It had indoor swimming pool, gym, billiard room (even one for snook), and ping pong room. It is purposed to host large conferences/events.
Now the part that I think they can do better -
1. Smoking: Itâs not smoking prohibited hotel, which is pretty common in China, especially not the first tier cities. But they donât assign some rooms to be non-smoking. Instead, all rooms are smoking permitted and it is allowed in most public areas too. Though this might be OK for domestic visitors, it can be an unflavored factor to people from abroad.
2. Laundry: It doesnât provide self-served laundry. There is laundry service but it costs dearly going by items.

Checking in was easy, and the staff were genuinely happy to help and answer questions about services.Â
The room was of excellent quality, and very clean, beds comfortable. A robot delivered a complimentary fruit platter shortly after reaching the room.
Highly recommend the breakfast option. It was varied and a good mix of Chinese and Western options.Â
Staff are very helpful, friendly, and courteous in all of the various roles. Special mention to Xuanxin and Xiangya on the front desk who provided 5 star service and went out of their way to assist.

After 8 days of travel we really needed to attend to our laundry. Again, a staff member assisted in loading 3 of the 4 washer/dryers with our clothes. The result was excellent, albeit allow some time for heavy items such as denim jeans as they are not fast commercial machines.
My partner helped with the language issues however most critical items have English text or cards that an app can easily translate. Staff will aso take the time to assist.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a top choice for service, value and quality.

1. Strategic location: Jiaxiulou, Wenchangge, food street, morning market, a shopping mall, etc., all within walking distance.
2. Commendable service with a HUMAN TOUCH: All staff members (front desk, night+morning shift personnel, cleaners, dining area, etc.) we met were kind, generous and friendly, making their best effort to fulfill guest needs!
We arrived before noon, and Ms. Chen at the front desk offered a room upgrade to the fifth floorâthe hotelâs highest floorâwith immediate check-in. I liked some of the sweets available at the hotel lobby, but I couldnât find the same variant at supermarkets and shops nearby before I left for the airport. Ms. Chen asked me to grab as many as I wantedâI felt shy, but she insistedâhow generous! I forgot to thank her personally for recommending Dongshansi, where one could catch a birdâs eye view of the city, in addition to the appealing temple design. The cleaner on duty on Thursday, 13 June 2024, morning gave us extra body shampoo upon request with a friendly smile. She did a great job in keeping our room 519 spick and span, and odourless! The hotel delivered a pleasant surprise in the evening with two packs of milk, accompanied by a handwritten note!! Front desk staff were generous with bottled water.
3. Clean and spacious room, with comfortable beds: The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well-ventilated. Of all the hotels with centralised air-conditioning systems that we stayed in different cities, this hotelâs room temperature regulation was the best, unlike others where you could feel hot even at a lower temperature! It would be ideal if the toilet room was soundproof.
4. Amenities and facilities: Itâs one of the few hotels that provide self-service laundry for FREE! Thereâs a gym room within the same area on the fifth floor. Power banks and umbrellas, among others, are available on loan for FREE!
5. Supper and breakfast: Tasty and a wide selection of breakfast options, including noodles with sour/clear soup, prepared by professional chefs.
Overall, it was a memorable stay, offering great value for money!

We originally planned to travel at 5:30 in the morning, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared milk bread. However, due to the weather, the travel plan changed, and the hotel replaced it with breakfast. During the period, we borrowed fruit knives, I forgot to get my room card again, and I was embarrassed to bother the front desk over and over again, but the staff were always warm and polite, actively serving us, and very warm and considerate. In addition, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and the elderly are full of praise. In the next few days, I will decisively continue to choose Lavande Hotel.

This is my first time staying in a youth hostel. I didnât have high hopes, but unexpectedly it broke my stereotype of youth hostels! ! ! Itâs really worth it! ! ! First of all, the space is really big and not crowded; secondly, it is very clean and the boss will give you sheets, quilt covers and pillowcases after you have checked in; finally, the bathroom (with shower) is right opposite, and there is also a bathroom in the room, so the space is really good. It's quite spacious. Although you can't shower, you can wash up and use the toilet! Itâs really worth recommending to my family! The bed is also very big, bigger than regular youth hostels anyway (in my opinion)! Friends who want to visit Guiyang can really consider this hotel. The boss is also very nice. There is a cat in the living room and you can cook your own meals. It has everything you need. You can see the White House and the Twin Towers from the balcony. Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower.
As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside.
as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight.
Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information.
How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess.
In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place.
Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night.
There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift.
I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.
