Decent hotel. Location-wise, It’s within walking distance (20 minute walk) to Vanke Square/the Chinese Opera Museum/Bruce Lee’s home which is a must-see area when in Guangzhou so that’s nice. In the area right outside the hotel, you will see nice European style buildings from back in the 1900s which is also another sightseeing item in Guangzhou. So its a convenient place to hit several tourists spots.   As for the hotel itself, it’s as-expected of a higher level hotel and for the price charged. Nothing impressive in my opinion.  Living in this hotel is more about experiencing history, experiencing this hotel that is the pride of Guangzhou back in the days.

Large business room can be comfortable, the hotel is near the subway, the hotel is on the riverside, the view is beautiful, suitable for relaxation, the location is very good, you can walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, there are many restaurants, and you can also walk to nearby shopping spots. The room is clean, the staff is good, everything is very good overall, I recommend it.

The location is very excellent, close to the metro station, markets and international restaurants. The staff are friendly, the room is good but needs attention to cleanliness. You can see dust in the corners and the bathroom doors are not clean at the top.

The room was comfortable and quiet. However if you are not acquainted with the surroundings you may feel trapped on the island. If you cross the bridge which is a block away you can walk to a mall with a supermarket, restaurants and clothing stores.

Overall, the hotel was amazing! Great security at night since we ordered meituan and delivery personnel was not allowed to enter without guests confirmation. They also provide buggy service between buildings, which is so much convenient for us, with lots of luggages and children. Amenities provided for both adults and children. Room is big enough for my kids to roam around, play tent is definitely a plus point for them to play with.

Upon arrival at the hotel after the check in time of 2:00pm, we were told that the rooms were not yet cleaned but we were given keys to the rooms. We would expect to get into cleaned rooms without any hassle for a hotel of this standing. It was quite horrifying to go into a room that is not cleaned. One of the rooms had a heavy cigarette smell and that needs to be changed. We have reserved 3 rooms but each room is a a different floor and our key card cannot access to other floors due to security reasons. The room is ok but there is a stain on the chair and some cigarette smell. The bed is also quite firm which may not suit everyone. The hotel should consider enforcing a check out time that would enable them to turn around the rooms in a timely manner.
