Popular Guangzhou 4-star Hotels

I had stayed here many times before in previous years. It was always one of my favorite hotels when visiting Guangzhou. However the place has really gone downhill. The location is between Shipaiqiao and Gangding metro stations. It’s a great location as you’re on the Main Street for all the shopping malls and restaurants. You can also get a view of the Canton Tower from the room. The main entrance is behind the building. The lobby is beautiful. I use to be able to check in early (around noon) but not this time. Had to wait until 2pm. (No big deal) One of my favorite things about this hotel are the large spacious rooms. The bathrooms are huge as well. The TV’s have been upgraded since my last visit. But they removed the tv next to the bathtub. However things are falling apart. Stains, damage, moldy smell, urine smell in the bathroom, condom wrapper under the bed. And even with “do not disturb” on while we try to take a short rest, we have a cleaning lady banging on our door not remembering if the room had been cleaned or not. There is a fitness center, a spa, and restaurant, but we did not use any of those. Overall I’m disappointed. This hotel use to be one of my favorites in all of China and it’s sad to see this place go so down. Love the spacious rooms and location though

Hotel location is good, close to the International Trade City, 5 minutes walk to the outside is also a food street, traffic is very convenient, staff service is also very good, cost-effective

Thanks to her, I was able to continue my work without any interruptions. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The combination of clean, comfortable accommodations and outstanding service—especially from Lena—made my business trip smooth and productive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for work or leisure. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel is centrally located, thus the traffic noises is a bit serious. Despite of this noisy environment, there are lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance. Room is clean n tidy. Staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is upto standard.

Mercure @ Tianhe is located in an excellent location - 10 min walk away from a wide range of large malls including Grandview Mall, TeeMall@Tianhe, Victory Square, Tianhe Fashion Walk. With easy access to taxis, we are able to travel to other parts of Guangzhou from the hotel with ease. The hotel is spacious, clean, well maintained, well equipped and staffed by highly trained and helpful staff. The morning breakfast buffet is value for money - it has a wide range to suit health conscious individuals like myself and picky eaters like my children. We stayed there for 9 nights and our view from the 25th floor is spectacular especially at night. The staff were also very sweet and thoughtful - they took the initiative to pack breakfast for us ahead of our early flight at 6am so that we could have a warm and sumptuous meal at the airport before we departed. We highly recommend this hotel to any families looking for a clean, spacious, safe and accessible location for an amazing time in Guangzhou.

A great location, by my opinion is one of the best in the city. Near to Beijing Lu (just less then 10 minutes walk), near the Metro station and river bank. The hotel has a nice river view. My room called a landmark room, with a traditional old design, with a bit dark colours. The room was not a huge, but ok. All necessary things were in room (slippers, tea facilities, water, everything for bathroom, even the bathe-robes). The hotel’s staff is very friendly!!! I’ve contacted with them by e-mail in advance and asked something for my mom. They made it ♥️ ♥️♥️also I asked to take a box which will be delivered to my name, and I’ve received it on arrival. I can recommend this hotel and I’ll stay here again. Next time I’ll choose the next room’s category because I love the light colour in hotels’ rooms more. But I definitely recommend a hotel because of its location, river view and hotel’s staff.

I chose this hotel because of its location and the fact is has an indoor pool. The pool was very quiet and it allows proper lane swimming. Really good. However there was a bad smell in the room and small flies in the bathroom. The toilet flush wasn't working and it made noise the whole night. I informed the staff in the morning and they fixed it straight away. Overall, a pleasant experience especially because of the pool. In spite of the bad smell I will probably go back, hopefully my next room will be better. The sheets were really clean too.

From our efficient check-in to our wonderful room our stay was perfect. My children loved the room Octonauts and requested we come back and stay again as we only had one night. They allowed us to have a late check out, too. The location was ideal as we needed to be near the US Consulate. However, it was close to the museum, 10 minutes from Canton Tower. The neighborhood was fun to walk around as well. It is near the metro. Only surprise was it is a 30 minute taxi drive from the South train station. No matter because we will be back.

The Grand Palace Guangzhou is truly an exceptional hotel. It offers an authentic experience with a host of great features. The room has a bathtub with a rapid water flow, perfect for a soothing bath. There are many choices of pillow, which is a wonderful touch. The location is unbeatable, with numerous famous restaurants in the vicinity and being extremely close to the train station. You can easily reach the train station by walking up the staircase after spotting Calvin Klein in the mall. Though the bed is a bit hard and could be improved, overall, this hotel is a great choice for travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and a touch of luxury.
